  4. It buzzed angrily. HEY, I’M BORED. I WANT DUMB QUESTIONS.

  6. The flower looked away. The ring in her pocket buzzed.
  7. A flower tilted toward Tam, eyeing her suspiciously.
  8. Dessie squeaked happily. You're suuuch a good Pet. I'm sleeping now. Indeed she did.
  9. She finished, wiped her mouth, and climbed up onto Tam's lap.
  10. Dessie nibbled happily. You're such a Good Pet, she said.
  11. Suspicious Pet, she grumbled. But I will not eat your pet. Food? Meat?
  12. I am hungry. She eyed the yummy-looking snack on her Pet's shoulder.
  13. Dessie poked her nose out of a hole in the ground. Hello, Pet.
  14. He hesitated for one more long moment, then nodded. "I'll see you soon." He clicked the button and vanished. @TwinStorm
  15. He nodded, but paused. Pulling open his bag, he shoved several bottles into her hand. "That one's panic pills, this one's numbing, this one's for focus, and there's one here for sleep if you feel like you need sleep." There were also some fireworms, disinfectant, and bandages.

  17. "Thank you." He smiled and pet his bird, then stood. "You sure you'll be okay?"
  18. It's so interesting to see how my unconscious mind affects my characters. There are so many things that just are naturally part of them because they're naturally part of me and I'm not actively working to subvert them for the sake of the character (which is often fine). 

    For example, Bat and I both share the ability to just... not think about things. By setting them aside, we delay the coming time when we'll inevitably have to think about them until we have more time. Sometimes-- often-- those things get forgotten. Even if they do, there's a very distinct possibility that they'll show up again and overwhelm us. I'd say I'm a little better at choosing the moment than Bat is. After all, I'd hate to ruin a nice family lunch by crying or being unpleasant. All those creeping thoughts I thought up this morning can wait. 

    On that note, should I have a mental breakdown now, or push it back indefinitely and overdose on sensory stimuli?
