    Becky looked around for signs of life and waved at Eldyn. "Hey, do you know what this place is?"

    "Thank you." He smiled and pulled out a little box for the flower, emptying the previous contents into a different one.

    She gave him an irritated look and continued down the hall.

    So he was really cute and we got kinda friendly and stuff right last day of school (I moved that summer) I told him I liked him and he said he liked me as a friend that's literally it but yeah I'm kinda done with boys now until the perfect guy comes along and decides he wants to date me I'm not making any more moves e v e r

    "I've already meddled enough." She opened a door back to the hallway he'd left.

    We'll call it late afternoon. "They're already dead," she said softly.

    That's why I liked one! But from now on they are friends, not fair game.

    She nodded. "Yeah, kind of like a phoenix." She walked over. "So... where am I now?"

    He blinked, gave him a somewhat friendly nod, and returned to the trees.

    She raised her eyebrows. "Do you want to go back yet?"

    The flames died down and Becky stood up. "Sorry--- I just didn't want my legs to stay broken, you know?"

    One of the younger dragons jumped, falling out of his tree. "No, uh, that was me."

    "Practically," she stressed.
