    She sighed deeply. "Okay. Since you gave me this... I'll tell you after we have our power source. Barring this working, you'll go fetch something and I'll explain after."

    "I've been experimenting with my powers." She grinned and grabbed it.

    He grinned and made it a stick figure.

    "Because I can't meddle." she stopped in front of a metal door. "Now get."

    "Yeah, uh.... like... like... stripes, and stuff....." Don't blather, idiot. He fingered the pressed flower in his hand. "They..... they wanted our scales," she whispered.

    "It looks... old. Like everything rotted away." She shivered. "Do you have a knife? Or anything sharp?"

    Becky was interested.

    She buried her face in his shoulder and nodded. He stiffened, feeling suddenly uncertain for no reason. "I'll f- find some patterns too, and... yeah."

    She ran her fingers over it. "This whole place is so... empty." Becky eyed them.

    He smiled. "Thanks." He added some rough swirls and styles, including a stretched heart along his wing and some crickets along the outer edges. He added a muffin under his feet.

    Becky nodded absently and pushed a door open. "Look, a billiard room. Why is there silver on the walls?"

    Bat flipped to another fresh page and frowned at it. "Oh! Feather!" He sketched his crow.
