    “Sure.” Five bit into the burger, suspicious, then closed her eyes blissfully. It was good.

    Right?? well not exactly but kind of it wouldn’t make Bat hostile toward them— it would just restore his craving for adulation among his people and hed be scared of tam again and stuff and yeah we’ll get something maybe kidnapped by supervillains or smth Hmm, would you mind doing smth? I’ll have Torrent for a callback later but I’m also DMing for two other plot lines and it’s starting to show

    “Two minutes,” he yelled. “You can see it up ahead.” He brandished the needle, grinning. “Something like that.” Soliel doused the monstrosity with water from nowhere. Torrent flew out from the building. “Curse you!” She yelled. “I’ve been foiled! I’ll be back!” She flew away.

    “It didn’t used to be underground,” he grumbled. “Some dummy dumped dirt on the whole thing. Went on a quest, earned the power to turn back time. Now my peaches are safe “ Her eyes lit up. “Yeah! Uh… maybe.” She blocked a strike from the robot.

    The claw backhanded her, but she didn’t drift far. She swung again. “I don’t know what this thing is,” she called. He blinked, squeaked, and jumped to his feet. “Strangers! Ooh, more acolytes! Payday’s on Friday, robes in the upstairs closet!”

    She nodded into his shoulder, then sneezed from his hair. Sweet The leg dented.

In the middle was a tree, flourishing. A man had pitched a tent nearby, in the grass. ”Weird,” Bat murmured, eyeing the foliage.

    “Good, I think.” She followed Ria out into the living room and perched cautiously on the couch. Duly noted “Oh, yeah. Keep going down this hallway and follow the ominous stairs downward.”
