    Scuddit I’m just reposting I will. She squeezed it and stepped forward. “What are you doing?” The people stopped and looked at her. “Finally,” the bored woman said.     Five stood up from the chair. “How are you?” She asked quietly. Some kind of ritual— Bat started. I’ll go find out, Beosta said at the same time. Make me uninvisible.

    Torrent twisted away from both. “Hah! You can’t fight me. You probably can’t even fight my master plan!” A large, shiny machine burst out of the asphalt, clawing the road around it and hauling itself to the surface like a mechanical tiger, pacing. Torrent took off, cackling. “And you too,” she agreed. “What do you want? I could DoorDash some burgers.”

    A group of solemn looking men and women in robes walked in a circle, holding candles. One of the women looked bored.

    Five squirmed. “I… I’m sorry…” Peaking huh halfway down the hall, a door was open, spilling dim golden light into the hallway.

    Oh of course They began to hear chanting from deeper in the temple, up a flight of stairs. She shrank back. “I… I don’t know,” she whispered.

    “Fine,” she said, shaking her head. “Owch.” Torrent sent a strong, rather pointed gust at him. Soliel yanked him to the side, nearly falling over, and then charged her. He just pulls out his battle ax It was dark. Yes very very dark and creepy and hissed in the dark and bird calls from outside despite the still quiet as a tomb inside mmmhmm with torches on the wall that somehow still burned. Offshoot halls went this way and that, but they were quite thin indeed.

    Beosta nodded, drawing her crossblade. “Yeah,” Bat said, kind of wishing he had a weapon.

    He didn’t seem to be listening anymore, playing an especially tricky but satisfying riff. Five paled. “We could try. I’m not sure if the pain was due to chemicals, the machines, or her own brain manufacturing it. Up to her.” Five squeezed her blanket harder.

    “It’ll at least help.” Five’s eyelids fluttered and she woke up, smiling at Starlight. “Did it work?” “Yup. Dunno where the cat got to, though.” He went back to playing drums. Bat turned toward the temple, made of orange ish stone and covered in moss and vines. “Yes, then! Fight!” She darted forward, stabbing at Torrent. Torrent ducked, sending a gust of wind that knocked Soliel into a building.

    Aden and Irie left. He shrugged. Teleport to a jungle with a temple and a cat? - Aden and Irie headed to the underground garage again. Aden picked a fresh jeep that still had both doors.

    Aden shook back. “Thanks. She should wake up in about ten minutes.” He looked around. “Dunno. I was playing drums there. There was a cat.” “I’m younger than you are, and yet I’m the adult here,” she informed him. “Well? Shall we fight?”

    “Oh, I didn’t see that one.” - He shrugged. “They’re disabled now.” “Yeah, probably. Lemme know if you start feeling ill effects.” Aden stepped back frim the monitor. “We’ll leave her with you and Ria while we go get her daughter.”

    “There’s two jungles?” Beosta snorted. Torrent turned toward them and grinned. Wind whipped around her. “Go home, children,” she called, voice grating. “Leave the adults to their fun.” Most of the civilians were gone by now. “Done!” He leaned back. “I’ll leave them in her, but put them to sleep. In case we need them again.”

    “One more.” Bat almost laughed. “Uhhhh… oh! He had a hat! And he lived in some kind of pyramid in the jungle.” She giggled. “I’m swimming.” She swam over to demonstrate, stopping just out the door. Another car landed nearby.

    “The more you rush me, the more likely she actually does,” he replied tersely. Soliel beamed. “That’s cool! Let’s go!”

    Nah maybe idk I haven’t decided “Uhhhh… before today,” he said helpfully. - “Disabling the synthesizers.” The monitor beeped. “Two more.”

    “Good,” he muttered, focusing. “Three more.” “Dunno.” - He nodded. “In a minute… almost there.” HAHAHA I LOVE THAT “Can you fly?” She asked Everet. “I could carry you if not. If you wanna fly.”

    “Uhhhh…” he squinted his eyes, thinking, but not missing a beat. “Oh, yeah, some guy with a fruit tree.” - “Not at all,” she said gratefully.

    SINCE I DECIDED HES BEEN AT THE BEACH SO THERE “Oh, yeah.” He flicked his hair out of his eyes, adding a deep base beat. “It’s the one that looks like a knitting needle.” - “North. Outside New Gurney.” She looked at Irie pleadingly.

    “Huh.” He frowned. “What Plotblades do we know of?” Elliot looked up from playing his drums, which he’d been doing since they got back to the beach. “Oh, Regression, yeah.” He played a drumroll and some cymbals - Ria hung up after a while. “Her chip went inactive around forty miles from here.” IK ITS SO SLOPPY BUT PLOTS ARE HARD OK

    “Well… how else are we supposed to defeat her?” - “Nothing… hold up.” She took a call. She beamed. “I’ll go kill her! You go to the safe room!”

    “Well… we can’t let her throw us in a dungeon again,” Bat pointed out. “We need a plan first. Maybe we could talk to some of the other Narrators?” “Maybe. They’ve never been this… bold. But maybe.”
