  1. Symbol stepped up with him. “I’d say avoiding a timeskip would be preferable, particularly as I have some things to say. I would like to be, if not a partner in whatever you’re planning, an assistant.” He smiled gratefully and began eating, again poring over the book. “Nerd,” Bat teased. “Giant.” “Not my fault you’re short.” ”Not my fault you’re illiterate.” Bat chuckled and started eating as well.
  2. What I do is write some potential scenes as I’m building yhe plot and see what happens

  4. Not probably. It’s the industrial areas you’ll hafta look out for. They returned to the main hall, then the dining room. Three of Bat’s siblings squirmed in their chairs. “Where’s Moss?” “at the University library for her test. If she does well, she might be able to live on campus next semester.” “Aw. Tell her I said hi.” Mrs. Whitlock nodded, serving a dish that looked like ham, cheese, and mushroom casserole. Or something like that. “River! RIVER!” A kid walked slowly into the room, buried in a book. He had glasses like his father , but his air was red like his mother’s. “Coming,” he said absently, then tripped on the cord of the broken lamp and stumbled into the table, losing the book in the process. “You’re quite dizzying sometimes. But very well.”
  5. He hesitated, looking uncomfortable. Yeah there are please don’t think about it please. “Dinner,” Mrs. Whitlock yelled. Mr. Whitlock grumbled something, but went to go eat. “You hungry?”

I’ll miss her, and the wonderful house, but she’s happy now. It was good closure :)

  8. Indeed quite weird
  9. “Oh, yes.” The box clearly had plenty of Nullite components. Random other devices were scattered everywhere as well. ”I made that clock over there, too! See, the hands spell our last name at nine fifteen!” The clock had strange swirly shapes on the face, and the hands were strange swirly shapes. “Sometimes I think he's crazy,” Bat told her. “One day he’ll be working on a propulsion engine or something, and the next day he’ll be putting together a singing telegram.” ”I’m technically an engineer for the government. But they don’t need much engineering done unless things get broken.”
  10. Same its back to that dor me now; idk what haooened
  11. Thanks “This is my hobby! I make things. Those are my journals and books— and other peoples’ findings. See, right now, I’m studying printing. Ink is easy enough to make, of course, especially blue and black and purple… but how do you put Nullite in yellow ink? Is it even necessary? And there must be an easier way to get the letters on a page than stamping them with ink and getting blots everywhere…” Bat grinned and sat down in a little wooden chair. He picked up a small device that looked like the workings of a music box. “Oh, that’s my voice replicator,” he explained, crossing over and crouching. “See, the little dots are different shapes to see if maybe somehow I can make words instead of just chimes… jts in the early stages…” Bat wound it and let it play the absolute weirdest chime sounds possible. “Like I said, early stages.”
  12. She shrugged. “I don’t know. I’m just here for the ride…” “D’you wanna… dance again?” The violins played slow, a simple waltz. So what? She told herself. It’s still just dancing. It’s the exact same thing…
  13. And we love you for it, Taln
  14. It’s weird… it’s only like that sometimes it changed back for me
  15. She paused. “I don’t know. I wasn’t paying attention…” Qodi nipped her ankle. Gail glared at her.
  16. Life is short.

Spend more time at the office.

One of the comments was like “I feel like this is more a work of art that just happens to be funny than an actual comedy sketch”

      I agree.

      This sketch helps.

  17. You know that weird feeling when it’s hard to believe happiness exists but you know you were happy just earlier today but you can’t imagine ever being happy so whats the point of living?
  18. Elliot appeared and played the *ba dum tss*.
  19. He grinned. The room he led her to was messy in a different sort of way— a mad genius way, rather than a-bunch-of-little-terrors-live-here way. The desk on the side held a computer, a stack of books and notebooks, and a bunch of random science stuff. The floor held the same (besides the computer), plus some printed photographs, bits of leftover red string (whatever wasn’t pinned on the wall… though the pictures it connected didn’t seem to go together at all), developed film photographs, pages of books, little half-finished gadgets, assorted nuts, bolts, and screws, and a stack of used plates that could probably be a science experiment of their own. The man at the desk had messy black hair, just like Bat (Bat’s hair was generally slightly more tidy, though), but he was far thinner, with a pair of glasses perched on his nose. The resemblance was there, if you looked closely, but this man’s face was harder than Bat’s. More angular. Until he lit up, which he did as soon as he noticed them enter. Then he looked somehow exactly like his son. He dropped his project, hopped free of his seat, and knocked over several stacks of books before he hugged Bat— carefully, like he was worried his son woukd break into pieces. Bat grinned and hugged his father back, wondering if he should be embarrassed or something. Honestly, he didn’t really care. Mr. Whitlock let go after a second and held out his skinny hand to shake Tam’s. “Mr. Doctor Whitlock, how do you do?”
  20. “Sorry about them,” Bat apologized… but dang. It was nice to be back. “Let’s go talk to my dad.” He stepped over the broken base and a pyramid of precariously stacked tin cans, then started down the hall.
  21. “Just keep being friends.” Emery vanished. Need a plot line?
  22. “Mmhmm,” she said absently, scribbling on her clipboard. “That’s easy, then. Just keep being friends until you kiss, and then keep kissing until you get engaged. Oh, and you should start dating somewhere before that.” “Hmm. Not bad.”
  23. "Relationship counselor. Emery. Now. You've confessed to a slight liking to one another, yes?"
