Bird Furious

It's so interesting to see how my unconscious mind affects my characters. There are so many things that just are naturally part of them because they're naturally part of me and I'm not actively working to subvert them for the sake of the character (which is often fine). 

For example, Bat and I both share the ability to just... not think about things. By setting them aside, we delay the coming time when we'll inevitably have to think about them until we have more time. Sometimes-- often-- those things get forgotten. Even if they do, there's a very distinct possibility that they'll show up again and overwhelm us. I'd say I'm a little better at choosing the moment than Bat is. After all, I'd hate to ruin a nice family lunch by crying or being unpleasant. All those creeping thoughts I thought up this morning can wait. 

On that note, should I have a mental breakdown now, or push it back indefinitely and overdose on sensory stimuli?
