  1. Reference to a rank in Wax and Wayne Series. It's pretty cool. I like it. 98/100
  2. I have not won a bet, not one that I won anything for NHIE seen a famous celebrity (IRL)
  3. yes. I love it. I started reading it years ago. I just haven't gotten to the latest books, or the finish. I'm on like 10 or 11.
  4. Aight. I'm bored so Imma throw down a list. This is definitely not all, I have a small brain. Candy Shop Wars - Brandon Mull Fablehaven/Dragonwatch - Brandon Mull The Underland Chronicles - Suzanne Collins Beyonders - Brandon Mull Ranger's Apprentice - John Flanagan Mistborn and Way of Kings - yep Five Kingdoms - Brandon Mull Les Miserables - Victor Hugo (Maybe I'm weird, maybe I'm not) Guardians of Ga'hoole - Kathryn Lasky Michael Vey - Richard Evans The Bromeliad Trilogy - Terry Pratchett How to Train your Dragon - Cressida Cowell (I still have yet to finish the series.) and yes, this is the book the movie is based off of. It's not better nor worse than the movie, it's just different and I love it. I was looking through the past lists of favorite books and have to say The Work and the Glory series is like Way of Kings, though not fantasy. It's freaking long, but I loved it so much.
  5. I don't really cry when I read books, except (don't read if you haven't read Rhythm of war/Stormlight archive) the Underland Chronicles are pretty brutal and have nearly made me cry while listening to the audiobooks. Edit: I'm editing this because I found a wonderful series from people on 17th Shard. The Wingfeather Saga is terrible and great at once. I've just about finished the third book and it makes me cry. It's a realistically unrealistic experience.
  6. I'm currently reading The Two Towers (J. R. R. Tolkien) (almost done) on my first time through The Lord of the Rings. I'm also reading the first Five Kingdoms by Brandon Mull
  7. I don't really like cats. But this is a wonderful drawing. I don't know how you got it to look so good as a sketch.
  8. Oh. You're right. Sorry. Something similar to deja vu happened. It's in another multiverse.
  9. It's better than the ones with Rey at least.
  10. Thank you. It didn't take much time, cause it's just a random exploratory couple paragraphs, but it was fun to write.
  11. Here's a bit of random writing I did to discover what one of my characters would sound like and how my magic system might work. It was a lot of fun. Maybe I'll write a bit more for this scene. I haven't really written the book yet. I think I discussed the magic system somewhere in Creator's Corner. Something about Music Magic.
  12. Prolly Amazon. Or maybe Family dollar. Or some random person's house. What's your favorite number.
  13. I have a bit of basic advice for you right now that I've learned from watching youtube vids and from my own experience. The first draft of your book is likely to make you want to gouge your eyes out. That's a bit of how I feel right now. Keep pushing through it. With a basic idea of the plot. I understand having a bit of trouble keeping the plot set. I also have the problem of having one idea then changing it. If you're a planner, I don't think I can help much. Try to plan out the major scenes you want to happen and add a bit in between. If you're a pantser, then I'd recommend what I kinda said earlier. Have a basic plot in mind, but then discover the story as you go along. If you have a basic ending in mind that's great, try to steer the story in that direction. Also. More on the first draft thing. Just get your first draft over with. It'll be terrible no matter what. . Then go back after you've got the first draft down and edit scenes, dialogue, and other things. Decide on if a scene is actually needed or not. Watch some youtube videos from Brandon Sanderson, Jerry Jenkins, and Daniel Greene if you haven't already. If I have any more critiques for the world building or small scenes you've got here, I'll add to this post. Or maybe I'll email you. But for now. I like it so far.
  14. Kinda looks like there's a nuke in the background. How much time do you spend on the wolf compared to the rest of it all? The wolf looks so detailed.
  15. Oh it does. That's cool. I didn't know that. I like that.
  16. You could say they're as close as friends as two lone wolves are who rarely see each other. In other words they're respectful of each others presence. I love these drawings though.
  17. Ya. Worldbuilding is so much fun. But when you write a book, so much more is added to the world and you have to be careful to not contradict yourself, or at least to go back and fix it. I like how you used "storm it" btw. It comes from listening to the stormlight archive too much.
  18. They don't look like friends
  19. That's aight. Thank you. I appreciate the look. It's just a world I was working on for a bit for a book. The book was too complex for a first book, so I'm doing a different book that's a lot simpler.
  20. Ayo. Armadillo knight. That'd actually be sick to have a world where kingdoms where armor designed after certain animals.
  21. This could result in some very interesting stories. I didn't read all of it, so I don't know if you thought of this already. But what if there was an evil dragon who somehow forced a good human to bond with them. Maybe the human didn't realize the dragon was evil. Then the human realizes the evil the dragon wants to do and has to decide whether to become evil with the dragon or stop it. I like the idea of a universe where the dragons don't just live on one planet, but travel between multiple, though.
  22. What were you going for here? I see a wolf before a waterfall. It looks cool, I like it. Is it standing on a statue or something?
