We don't have a Popeye's within reasonable distance, so I dunno…Chick-Fil-A is all right, sandwiches are a bit sweet for my taste, and they need to get cole slaw back on the menu.

What Slowswift said. Usually I just dip the nib in water and scribble until the pen writes again. I am a fountain pen user from way back; my first was a Sheaffer School pen. I found this forum because I had just dip tested my Parker 45 against a Moonman lookalike, and wanted to know if 45s were regarded as wet writers. This thread popped up in my search! I write first drafts by hand. Don't even get me started on inks. Or paper. Cosmo Air Light being my latest paper find. I have enough inks to start a museum. Glad to have found you.

Happy to see you. I love music in almost all genres because I grew up with every type, from classical to blues. I've had lessons on piano, violin, viola, and guitar, but none of it 'stuck.' I once bought an electric bass when I was in a garage band, and I can't play bass. Running true to form, I recently bought a lap steel guitar—-and a viola. I made sounds on the viola, though.

Lonnngtime anime fan! I can't even list all the ones I've watched, but they include Pokemon, YuuYuu Hakusho, Hikaru no Go, Porot and Marple, and Sakamichi no Appolon. More current favorites (and I am a lot more selective now): Hibike! Euphonium, Iroduku, Kabukibu. I shy away from gore, horror and er, extremely 'adult' themes. NOT meaning complex. I even speak a teeny bit of caveman-level Japanese. A post up-thread reminded me: I love almost everything Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli. I only watch subtitled anime now. I should read the whole thread, shouldn't ?

Coolmint stumbling around here. (It looks like a nice forum with lovely people but not used to the format!) Longtime reader and writer of SF/F….I was in a band once but that's a long story. Frivolous sort, easily distracted by shiny objects. If I'm being blunt, I also came for the fountain pens! Gotta run for now. How do I make the post font bigger?
