  1. This is an excellent question I'm not sure if it did I think it just removed the Fused's dependence on Odium so long as they can leave Braize they can return to Roshar now.
  2. The team assigned to picking up his corpse was very cheerful because the pay was good and it wasn't too much work.
  3. I'm confused why do we think there were 2 Heralds on Braize?
  4. I think the idea of Vedel being something twisted from her original mission is a pattern we have seen repeatedly I could see her seeing herself as a surgeon amputating the bad parts of humanity maybe as an assassin? That is one guess I also found this WoB So we know she is not in any books before Oathbringer unless we can track down an appearance in a short story or RoW we can't really make anything other than vague guesses that fit into patterns. So I leave you with 2 of my guesses 1. An assassin for hire taking only very select contracts. 2. A complete reversal of what her original intent was and fading into obscurity helping no one.
  5. The problem with this is that the Oathpact is broken. They changed it to leave Taln behind since he was the only one who never broke, the other Heralds were already on Roshar and had been for several thousand years. I think the spren did not choose when to come back some of them had been trying for a while and Nale had just been killing their Radiants. What happened was that we got some people high up enough or off the radar enough to survive and be able to progress through their oaths. The return of the Desolations just gave some spren a bit more of a push to try out the old ways they were very wary of this due to the Day of Recreance. I don't think we should trust what Jasnah says we know from other books that she can be wrong. To think that she is an authority on spren is not very accurate she knows very little and only from 1 spren she is only getting 1 point of view and trusting that view completely.
  6. Granted you are happy no matter what happens you become a sociopath and are rapidly hated by everyone you know I wish for no curse
  7. I think Taravangian was excluded due to his lack of trauma. spiritually, he still had fully (though oddly) functioning mind and soul. I think there is a danger here the whole reason the Oathpact was broken was so that the 1 trustworthy Herald would take all of the pain and would be able to withstand it. If there were 2 Heralds that would defeat the entire purpose of breaking the Oathpact.
  8. We also have the knowledge that Kaladin is the Son of Tanavast which probably ties into this we know that Tanavast could have lived from this WoB It would be very interesting if those 2 lines mixed maybe 1 from each side? I do doubt though that Hesina is Vedel I could believe that she is descended from her but she seems too stable herself to be a Herald they all have some kind of visible madness and I doubt any of them would be able to escape it. She was also incredibly talented in medicine far surpassing any currently living surgeon and I think she would not be willing to stand by and let people die when she could save them and do a better job than her husband. And lastly we do have a quoted age for her from Kaladin, 41 she could have lied about this but it seems unlikely since her family will eventually find out if she never ages.
  9. I imagine it as a more cheery song with Vin looking around in wonder maybe as a rendition of "My Shot" from Hamilton with Kelsier as the lead singer with Vin joining in for the last "my shot"
  10. But he decided that was too much work and decided to sell tickets to see the fight with complementary tea.
  11. This makes a lot more sense maybe he would bring back Hoid the original Hoid I mean the one he failed and should have loved.
  12. I was saying that he would have a very hard time breaking free once he was under I think that if he was being empowered by T-Odium it would be near impossible for him I'm foreseeing a really sad Moash like arc for Adolin but one with hopefully some redemption.
  13. Yes they are pretty good though I wouldn't read the sequel series. The Brotherband Chronicles are also pretty good they are in the same universe
  14. I love this idea I think the next act would start with a version of "Its A Hard Knock Life" from Annie with Vin being the lead singer but it would need to be darker
  15. Granted people are happy for no reason no matter what they do and live for over a 100 years in this state doing nothing since they have no motivation to do anything. The human race goes extinct. I wish to know the history of any object I touch.
  16. Do you want to take my entire stock of weapons of mass destruction? Well that's not what I wanted in any way but I'll take it either way
  17. Definitely most unhealthy things is what I'd choose but they taste so good If you could have any question answered what would it be?
  18. I disagree with this from what we have seen of Adolin he is a very caring emotional person the type T-Odium would have to trouble manipulating I agree with the Moash part but I wouldn't rely on El too much people seem to think he is going to be more important than he really is. I think T-Odiums champion is going to be someone who Dalinar will be unable to fight I think Adolin is a good example and the most likely.
  19. Okay here we go (takes deep breath) Dalinar and Kaladin go on a quest to find Ishar with some Radiants who are close to swearing oaths to teach Dalinar more about his powers in the little time they have T-odium claims Adolin as his champion to break Dalinar while Kaladin is trying to rally the singers against the Fused while this is happening we have a sub plot following Shallan and Lift (who sneaks her way onto this mission) to free Ba Ado Mishram but in the end they end up killing the spren when rival agents from the Ghostblood are sent on an asset denial mission stunning all the singers and breaking their Connection to the Fused and redirecting that towards Roshar allowing them to discover several new Rhythms and realize how disharmonious the Fused are the the planet the book climaxes with Dalinar breaking Adolins connection to T-odium and breaking the link Dalinar then summons Honors Perpendicularity and enters it with the Stormfather reforging Honor. Kaladin leads the Singers against the Fused and with the new Anti-Light (supplied by Navani) they are able to kill most of the singers El tries to deal with the humans but his deal is rejected and he is killed. Shallan reunites with Adolin and she finally accepts Radiant as part of her uniting her mind. Maya and Adolin form a new kind of bond that is unique with Maya helping other former Deadeyes like Shallan's first Spren. The book ends with a loosely unified Roshar and worldhoppers coming forward trying to establish diplomatic ties.
  20. Yes finally thank you I feel the same. Also a lot of the women in the books are jerks like even main characters like Nynaeve and Egwene and Elayne they all feel like they are smarter and should boss over all the guys. And they also seem to have such strict rigid egos that they can't accept being rescued or in need of help unless they are about to die I feel like they just hate all men. My heart goes out to Mat (my favorite character) because he just gets it from everyone I root for him every time he can strike back a bit. I agree that the Aiel seem to have the most functional society by far and the more equal roles.
  21. Granted Odium is splintered and with nothing to hold the Fused in check they destroy the world. You can no longer avoid dangerous situations I wish to have access to every type of Investiture
  22. Okay now that I'm thinking about that timeframe I can definitely see that. I think the Dustbringers and Skybreakers would be the base of that seeing how their founding members are not the most trustworthy I'm foreseeing an early rebellion being put down leaving seeds of resentment in the surviving members leading up to a big rebellion in the space age.
