  1. Oh, I'd love to get to know Ranette better too . Can't believe I overlooked her the first time.
  2. Agreed. The closer we get to the final Mistborn trilogy, the better! Want me some allomantic spaceships
  3. Yeah, a quick mock-up would be nice to see
  4. Shallan or Vivenna. Leaning towards Shallan unless we learn terrible things about her in the next book. And even then, probably still Shallan
  5. Exactly, if you have enough Breaths, you don't have to touch the object. Susebron Awakened all the cloth in the whole palace, essentially, on instinct, once he could speak the initial intent to Awaken things. Any Investiture is likely the same. Intent and will are the essential components. The physical contact is just a help if you don't have enough power to just make things happen on your own easily.
  6. Breaths don't need direct contact once you reach the right Heightening either. Granted, that's incredibly rare on Nalthis, but still, proves it's possible in theory.
  7. I guess if you wanted to, you could make a sari type piece that ended on a side (think of taking a sari, and slicing it along one side of the torso) and then had buttons/other closures to join it all together again. Not sure how he envisioned the arms in that case though...
  8. Given Brandon's explanation of Roshar's magic thus far, yes
  9. I don't think you could just picture it in your mind. The act of drawing the aon is what "opens" reality to the effect of AonDor. And the effect seems to be tied directly to the aon. If picturing an aon in your mind actualized it, then some aons, like aon daa, for example, would be lethal to think about, I think...
  10. You'd need a ton of force to instantly arrest the blade mid-swing, especially with a larger/wider sword with more mass. It's not physically impossible, but even with a very wide blade, it's incredibly unlikely.
  11. I'd be very interested, any chance we could see a rough idea of how they'll come out?
  12. Lightweaving is the (or at least a) magic native to Yolen. I'd assume that means it existed while Adonalsium was still intact, but we really don't know much at all for sure.
  13. Well, it's not impossible. Gaining KR powers has more to do with living by the Ideals and acting in accordance with Honor than anything else. However, I'm not sure that teaching someone to act that way would have the same effect as someone like Kaladin acting that way because it's what his heart tells him is right. It could, but I wouldn't be surprised if forming a Nahel bond with an honorspren is much more likely when you come into such things of your own accord. Also, the KRs in the vision said they couldn't guarantee that he'd be a member of one of the orders. Just that they thought it likely. They could have taught him to fight alongside them even if it turned out that he couldn't join them directly.
  14. Does the "Endowment's gift" part of that Brandon quote imply that Endowment actively oversees the Return process?
  15. To be fair, given the amount of OP Demandred was drawing on, his "balefire everything" strategy makes more sense than using any fancy new weaves. Especially since he was deliberately trying to mess up the Pattern as badly as possible. But yeah, I do wish we'd seen a bit more in that department.
  16. We know seons are splinters. It stands to reason that skaze are too.
  17. To oppose Odium, I'd imagine. We know from Sel that even splintered Shards still gravitate towards individuals that are in-line with their original intents. There's a reason for the Seon/Skaze split, after all (which occurred well before Elantris).
  18. Seems like a stretch to me. The simplest explanation is Honorblade, regular Shardblades, and Szeth's blade, in my opinion. But yeah, it's possible.
  19. Hard to argue one way or another for Shallan, but if Szeth's blade is an Honorblade, what was the third type of blade we saw in WoK?
  20. Eh, I feel like we know so little of the specifics of Sel's magic, I've just been making a lot of assumptions I guess. I figured if seons are splinters of Devotion, and AonDor is the energy left from Devotion's shattering, there's a definite link between the two. And, yes, I suppose assuming AonDor is the energy from Devotion isn't confirmed either, but I feel like that one, at least, is fairly safe to assume.
  21. Having Twinborn would unnecessarily complicate the LR's efforts. Without another full Mistborn-Feruchemist to challenge him, he was safe either way. Better to kill off the ones with knowledge of ideas that could threaten his own ideology (ie Keepers).
  22. I wonder, does that mean that the only way to be a full Mistborn-Feruchemist is to be a full Feruchemist who ingests Lerasium? Or is it just ridiculously unlikely otherwise? Given the power full Mistborn-Feruchemists wield, I'd guess the former, but genetics isn't an exact science. I could see it being possible, even if we could safely say it would never happen over X amount of time.
  23. I would contribute if you're looking at a Kickstarter/pre-order model, depending on price (just nothing crazy, pretty much). Or just express interest directly to Crafty Games, if that's what they're looking for.
  24. I think I'm just assuming that being paired with a seon implies the capability of using AonDor (even if you can't yet since you weren't transformed by the Shaod). I don't know whether we have a definitive word either way.
  25. I thought you were saying that Hrethen needing to keep the use of seons quiet was an indication that the Derethi can, in fact, all use AonDor and partner with seons. If that wasn't what you were trying to imply, please disregard
