  1. @ImportantQuestions Kal is a worthy enemy, the Heralds were worthy enemies, so why Dalinar specially?
  2. Taravangian can't do anything about it. They made a contract, Taravangian MUST follow the contract. And Taravangian becomes at Dalinar's power.
  3. Short answer: yes
  4. Actually you have a very good point. Maybe Preservation plan was despairate but we know that Shards see the possible outcomes not THE outcome. So Preservation is the worst short future sighter. And the best long future sighter. Oh and you were right about Ruin he knew beforehand he would be discovered. I have e books and checked.
  5. @SpinningSky Wow you're good. But we know the outline of Lift's past. Her mom died when Lift was younger than 10 At the age of 10 Lift went to the Nightwatcher and asked her to not change so her mother may recognise her. She obviously meant physically. But Cultivation took the chance and changed her boon As said she is getting taller, and her breasts are developing, that's why she put that tight cloth around her chest in RoW. Wouldn't you agree?
  6. Probably you're right on that one, maybe even Odium wasn't concentrated on Sja Anat. So he was fooled, maybe Rayse was arrogant and thought himself to be better than a lowly unmade spren. Future sight isn't a desperation move for all Shards. Preservation completed his plan perfectly a 1000 years from when his plan even began. I guess that since Ruin is the worst Shard at predicting the future then Preservation is the best. Maybe it is a desperation move for some Shards like Odium who "cornered himself" as Taravangian put it. But Cultivation has above average future sight, and I believe very high Fortune. It depends on "power's Intent and Vessel's craftiness" as Harmony said Don't you agree?
  7. Plus all languages are diverted from Yolish, maybe some strange words stayed close to their Yolish counterparts?
  8. Let's see. 1- I would count an entity seeing the future but not through the DIRECT intervention of a Shard. Like Renarin now can choose to see scenes from the future at will. He did it once while he and Dalinar were in Emul. But, I wouldn't count the few times Odium showed Taravangian the future. And yes we have seen Sja Anat seeing the future in her interlude in RoW. Maybe it's simple planning, but to outwit a Shard, you have - at least - to partially see the future. Like Taravangian. And what strikes me as strange that Ruin was even bad in close future, like that one time he appeared to Vin as her dead brother, she knew right away. What do you think?
  9. Perhaps some Shards have a better ability than others at changing Vessels and Silvers. Odium is the best one, Ruin affected Ati greatly, Sazed still seems like Sazed to me. So perhaps there is levels of control over people, perhaps?
  10. I mean Death Rattles are kind of seeing the future. Yet not actually SEEING the future. So many entities can predict the future. (Shards, Silvers, Dying people?, people who are highly Investitured by certain Shards (especially Odium), and "parallels" to Shards (Stormfather, Nightwatcher, Sja-Anat, and that weird Fjordell king) Am I missing someone?
  11. By that definition Vin, Rashek, Kelsier are the only Silvers. Right?
  12. I mean he is worshipped by two religions and revered by a third. He is not a hero, he does selfish things. Maybe he has both in him. He is Discord not Harmony.
  13. Thank you. I read Szeth's one but not Kaladin's.
  14. No one is perfect. Even Adonalsium wasn't perfect. But there are flaws that are bad but OK. But other ones (like the destruction of all Shards) are a BIG no no. But I agree that she is obsessed with transformation.
  15. @Quantus I didn't mean book timeline. I meant including Spoilers above for HoA, RoW, Arancum Unbounded planetary systems.
  16. What are the best and worst three Shards at predicting the future? From your opinion
  17. Can Silvers see the possible future chances like Shards?
  18. Is Kelsier (from your point of view) the hero, the villain, or the anti-hero?
  19. Does someone have the Arancum links for all released sample chapters? Thank you.
  20. Not ALL of them are broken. Cultivation isn't broken. She just want to plant trees.
  21. Well. Shin are technically the least Rosharan humans. Maybe it's an Ashyn name? (Probably not but ahh)
  22. So basically you tell me that a 17 year old Rosharan is the same as me, but a 17 year old Selish might be 50 or 5?
  23. I mean justice and honor are very close concepts (not the same but very close) However Kaladin didn't care at all if he broke any rules. He nearly broke out of prison in WoR & also conspired to kill the king. Yet conspiracing to kill the king wasn't what damaged his Bond with Syl, it was promising that he would protect Elhokar and then breaking his promise. I never thought Kaladin to be a Skybreaker. My opinion.
  24. @mathiau So both mistspren AND cultivationspren wanted Ym to be their KR?
  25. Is there a full timeline about everything that happened in the Cosmere across all Worlds?
