    I just... hope he'll be okay. I'm pretty sure he will be, after Rhythm of War. But... let's just lament his tragedies some. Yeah, it's a Kaladin sympathy thread. Is this too weird?

    Normal.

    Have you ever considered how odd that word is? Because there is no one who is truly normal. Everyone has their quirks, their odd things that they do. And you can't just say "normal people", because you can't just lump people into a group. It's just... people are people, and they're all normal, and they're all weird. Like Shallan says, "We're all strangely normal. Or normally strange." Or something like that. And what Tindwyl says to Elend about Vin:

    Think about it. Do you know anyone who you would define as "normal"? If so, then they must be boring. And no one is truly weird, because everyone is weird. Like Syndrome from The Incredibles says, 

    "And where everyone's [weird], nobody's [weird]."

    Sorry, I just philosophized all over you. You might need to wash your shirt now.

    So you know how there's that Harry Potter logo with the lightning scar and the glasses? I know there are lots of talented people on here, so I thought that someone who's better at graphic design than I am should do a version of that for Kaladin with his brands and some, like, glowy eyes, or something. I tried, and it didn't work very well. So if someone else, more talented than I, could do that, it'd be really cool.

    I just exclaimed at your adorable Tien out loud in the middle of class. Me: Ohh! Kid in my class: Did a character in your book die? Me: ...Kind of? It's a picture of a dead character.
