  1. All y'all artist people. Any tips for shading? I'm seriously struggling to figure it out. I can't do anything that actually works and adds depth.

I’ll record a little something for you, Stormy :) what exactly are you trying to shade? Just anything?

Hi! An art human here! Here are some things that I hope will help:I suggest looking up references and art websites (here are two of my favs:https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/asaro-head-9d26548182f8465a8e97371a9170561e,https://line-of-action.com/practice-tools) and if you're using graphite pencils then maybe use different lead mines or pencils, because those are the usual culprits in shading gone wrong. The softer the lead, the more volume can be added to the drawing <3.

My best tip for shading that really got me out of trouble is to keep it as simple as possible. The darker the shade, the more depth that section has,and the opposite with lighter spots and highlights.

      I really hope this helps,and I'm sorry if it doesn't <3.

      Byeee!

Faces, mostly. Sorry for the late response, I didn't really get around to it. But I wanted to!
