My eyes feel like water barrels
But somehow empty
It hurts on the outside of the inside
And deeper in, there is only darkness

*clears throat* In response to this poem, have another poem!
*inhales dramatically*
But emptiness is a space to be filled
With what? We cannot know
The joys of life we seek:
Light, laughter and patterns in the snow.
The purr of a cat, sweet song in the breeze
A combination of notes played sweetly
An echo of a friend, we will not be lost
Seek joy, my friend, no matter the cost.

QuoteBut emptiness is a space to be filled
With what? We cannot know
The joys of life we seek:
Light, laughter and patterns in the snow.
The purr of a cat, sweet song in the breeze
A combination of notes played sweetly
An echo of a friend, we will not be lost
Seek joy, my friend, no matter the cost.
But joy is not the only thing we seek
For in life, we must also face pain
Heartache and sorrow, they come to us all
But through them, we grow and we gain
Strength and resilience, the power to heal
To rise up and face the world anew
So even in the darkest of days
Hope can still shine bright and true
So let us embrace the joy and the pain
For both are a part of who we are
For it is through the darkest of nights
That we learn to reach for the stars.
