  1. I feel betrayed by my brain. This last week I've been working really hard on my schoolwork, but I'm just so exhausted all the time and can't get through it. It's like no matter how hard I try, I don't have enough energy- my brain just shuts down and won't do what I tell it to. I used to be an efficiency machine, but now I feel like a soggy burrito (you see what I mean? That's like an David-from-Reckoners-level metaphor).

This better just be a getting-back-to-school thing. I have a long year ahead of me.

Yes, and along with what everyone else said, make sure you stay hydrated. Dehydration can cause headaches, and especially now that you are doing cross-country, put in the extra effort to drink and eat regularly and as needed. Also, organization and breaks helps a lot. Make a set list of the order in which you will do homework, chores, etc. and try to stick to the checklist as a way of being more efficient. Sometimes, if homework begins to be too overwhelming, I'll take a break by playing piano, and then come back. I know you have extraordinary talent with music, so if that helps you calm down, try doing that sometimes. You'll get through this. Everyone feels like a soggy burrito sometimes ;)

Thanks everyone, you're all the best! ^_^

I'll make sure spend time caring for myself in addition to stressing about the work- I realize I haven't been doing that enough. Your encouragement gives me more hope, and that means a lot
