JWST has directly imaged an exoplanet! This is a planetary system about 355 light years from Sol. (If you want to give our solar system a sci-fi-ey name.) The exoplanet is directly imaged, meaning that this is an actual photograph of HIP 65426 b itself. It orbits farther from its star than Neptune does from our own. This is really neat, and while I don't yet know what science they're going to do with this capability, I can't wait to find out.

So, when @CalanoCorvus hit Scadrian Waffle Cook on the reputation ranks, it got me thinking. We know that Scadrial is slowly advancing to modernization, with the technology that its using being quite similar to what we have here on Earth. Because it's very close to Earth, there is a good chance that in the next few decades (relative to era 2) waffle technology will be developed, and Scadrial will be blessed with the wonderful tastyness of waffles. This inspired those who run the Shard to create the Scadrian Waffle Cook rank. However, Roshar is also approaching modernization, but through a very different type of technology: Fabrials. Fabrials fundamentally run on very different principles, but the effects that you can produce with them mean that Roshar will one day most likely have a fully modern society, just powered by Stormlight instead of electricity. Based on what we can assume with this, in the next few years, Roshar could develop waffles by simply creating a waffle iron made of metal and then using a heating fabrial. The ingredients would be very different, but it would still be a waffle. Here is the WoB about Rosharan Waffles: Now. Here comes the debate. Which one is better? I know @Boomerang Guy started a whole Wafflism thing, so I hope everyone who participated in that comes to see this. We're all Sanderfans, and most of us (I assume) like waffles. Which ones are better? Would you rather eat waffles that are made of ingredients from an alien world? Waffles that are cooked using energy from a tyrannical, constant, world-shaping storm and a piece of Adonalsium itself? Or would you rather eat waffles cooked with technology that represents the overthrowing of a tyrannical god-king that ruled for a millenia? Waffles that showcase the ingenuity and perseverance of an entire world and people? Pick your side, and let the debate begin!

A war was being fought in the outer reaches against a small band of Rebelling Selffalfrednahgs. Many Ghanderflaffle planets were being destroyed by sneezes.

Bookwyrm went and sat down next to the Ghanderflaffle and helped her read the book.

The Narrators began forming a master plan to sneak into the Library that would make Eof proud.

Bookwyrm walked in and took a book to the head. "Ow."

Like I said in the SU, what about the Rosharan Waffle Cooks?

YKYASW your teacher asks everyone to find an inspirational quote about goal setting, and instead of searching "inspirational quotes about goal setting" and picking one, you search "Brandon Sanderson quotes" then frantically try to find ones that fit. And end up picking three separate quotes instead of just one.

Everyone (non-personified) was confused because the flute in question had appeared in the basement with them. "Uh..." Bookwyrm said. "If everyone's here, we can leave, but what do we do about the flute?"

Bookwyrm glanced around. "Oh. We're in a basement now."

Bookwyrm didn't want the universe to fade in boringness. So he organized a quest to stop the universe from disappearing. Currently, it consisted of himself, Rym and Found the Kitten. "Who else will join?"

The universe began to fade in boringness, save for the plane of existence where the Narrators and Avatars existed.

"I-" Bookwyrm paused. "Uh...."

"Oh." Bookwyrm reached into the secret compartment and pulled out some other metals. "You can find basically anything in here, if you look hard enough. You should try it." He grabbed some more stuff from the compartment. "I'm going to go make some metal vials now. Be right back."

"Uh, Moni? Those are Calano's. You'd have to ask him to make you some of your own."
