  1. Beautiful.
  2. Ah, do you have the link to the AI?
  3. The point I'm trying to make is that wizard used a mistborn term to demonstrate what he says, and that since he was attempting to parody stormlight it wouldn't be surprising that stormlight terms are used since the AI needs a source to analyze before creating anything, but since its supposed to be rewriting SA, having mistborn is strange-seeming. Thus, wizard may have intended to say mistborn.
  4. Yes, but there are many more Stormlight terms than Mraize and Alethkar
  5. Please explain @CalanoCorvus I pay more attention than I should, given how ANNOYING you are... When you witness a bank robbery.
  6. RoW, I love Navani's science stuff so much.
  7. @The Wandering Wizard
  8. Yes, PM me or another Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to ask questions about our beliefs.
  9. I don't know about the Catholic church, but the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a large focus on prayer and personal revelation from god(in addition to revelation through church leaders)
  10. I actually must know, what on Earth, Scadrial, and Roshar happened to this thread?
  11. Keep it respectful and it's fine.
  12. I'm almost certain the WoB is referring to the wisdom shard, but I think a lot of people are taking it as speaking of the survival Shard(or the two of them as one being) even though we know it could be most of the shards still alive and is not necessarily unrevealed.
  13. The original post was about the identity of the survival Shard, which OP suggested was a wisdom equivalent. The whole subject is about the survival Shard, as the title implies. Also, this WoB may be causing a bunch of confusion, because it seems to imply more things than it does
  14. If you're not getting any extra investiture out of the metalmind, why would you compound to begin with? Disclaimer that I don't actually understand compounding. This stems off my first question, if you don't get that extra stored investiture, why would burning these metals be more efficient? Edit: Nevermind on this all, I forgot allomancy used entails as a key, not a source. This would mean that it's more efficient. (Duralumin sounds like it could really benefit from compounding)
  15. I think the general understanding of that, is that the shard realized that some things are more important than survival, not survival itself is bad.
  16. When had he said that?
  17. I'm not trying to imply that, though, the staring of shardic life may be great enough to turn more than one to that path. I'm having trouble understanding, could you rephrase this for me? Thanks.
  18. Nothing is Sanderson is unintentional-except for a few names/slang that actually have meanings IRL. Sometimes the world-building can give hints as to what the future holds, sometimes the interludes have traceable plot relevance, some stories have plot relevance for other books, there's a lot.
  19. While I am of the opinion that the survival Shard is not Virtuosity, I don't we think we can disprove it yet despite This can't be used as proof, because, as Brandon puts it However, the fact that Brandon says a shard with similar intent, while Virtuosity probably could be argued to fit the bill, I don't think so, especially with one more shard left.
  20. Can't say I agree, but this isn't the place for that debate. My take on Lift: Putin, but with pancakes. Arshqqam: I'm grouchy because I do good things with magic. Renarin: I'm evil, but not really. Taravangian: The wise man knows his limits, the wisest man has no limits. Adolin: yikes dad, your so strict... wait, maybe I am being bad.
  21. Yes, however, So I'm counting just the sixteen.
  22. Haven't people tried burning silver before? I imagine someone must have, seeing as silver isn't a harmful metal to invest. Besides, the rule of sixteen is so prominent, I find it hard to believe that it isn't the case all the metals' have been found. Plus, it pairs nicely with the 16 god metals.
  23. Odium- Endless conflict. Honor- You betrayed my trust, no privileges for you. Cultivation- grow, grow, grow. Ruin- Wreck-it Ralph. Preservation- I never want to grow up. Endowment- Give said the little stream. Autonomy- Be a Hermit, It's fun, I promise. Survival Shard- I don't want to die. Harmony- I... can't... move.
  24. I just realized something awesome about SA 5.

I don't want to give spoilers so,

    Spoiler

It's Szeth's book right? That means we'll get to see more of how he became truthless, and we'll get to see so much more of Shin. I'm excited because I want to learn more about Shin culture.

      Going_North_cal

oh my goodness I feel that so hard.

we know so little of culture there, I MUST KNOW MORE.

also, i dont think that gives away any spoilers but whatever.

    2. The Wandering Wizard

      The Wandering Wizard

I don't want to give spoilers either

      Spoiler

We will also probably get to see the unmade that are in shinovar.

    3. Lego Mistborn

      Lego Mistborn

Exactly my thoughts Corvus, what little we've seen is really interesting, and I feel like a puppy waiting for Brandon to give me a treat.

And Wizard, Yes, that will be awesome. We know so much, yet also so little.

Basically: MORE information. I take in Cosmere info like

      Spoiler

      Lift eats (stolen) food.

SA five is going to have so much treasure for us. If RoW was equivalent to Sol, five will be ten black holes thrown together. (If my analogy sucked, I'm comparing the nuggets of knowledge we'll get to the mass of celestial bodies)

  25. Maybe only ten do work, but who's to say that one of them isn't a duralumin effect. Also, in addition, you wouldn't have to worry about the fact that it uses up all the light, because you'd be replacing the sphere that powers the contraption every round fired.
