    The Chickens were dead. Darle was very mad at Frustration for killing some of his chickens, so he sent some investiture/magic/talent-proof ones after him.

    The chickens still had their shardplate on, so several just fell into the basement. they also had feather falling. The rest of the Chickens continued to move towards frustration, avoiding the hole.

Also, given this evidence, the intergalactic republic of chickens had no choice to forever ban Nameless from calling on their authority again. they also voided the restraining order.
