    Willow hummed thoughtfully. “Interesting. I am sorry for your loss. What… or who, is Silence?” Willow asked with a curious tone as it spun end over end in the air.

    The floating knife buzzed. "These circumstances have been in the making for... a thousand pages," Willow said dismissively. "Ryna is a lovely name. Where do you hail from, Ryna the storyteller?"

    Able, unknown by any other names, is a friend and ally of Ivisyre. Able is a cunning and quiet man, gifted with a silver tongue and the eye of a hawk. It is assumed he has no special powers, beyond very simple form-shifting, competence with a sword, and a knack for negotiating. Ivisyre seems to view Able with a degree of friendship and respect, which Able seems to reciprocate. Able stands at about average height with a lean build. He has pale white skin and well-groomed blond hair, though has been known to change the tone of his skin and hair, and typically wears a form-fitting black suit vest. His voice is smooth and sweet, and something about its cadence makes one want to listen. It's not clear when he met Ivisyre, but he first appeared to The Thread on page 4261, when he approached Ryver at a party on Sequence's World. He asked Ryver to accompany them to another world, where the two met Ivisyre. Ivisyre commissioned Ryver for a replacement for the Cuberian Cell, for which Able was present. Able then accompanied Ivisyre and Ryver to Ryver's homeworld, where they waited for Ryver to grant them access to Sequence's World. After Ivisyre bypassed this by gaining access from Subversion, it is unclear where Able has gone off to.

    Willow floated up beside Ryna, buzzing softly. "Who are you?" It said, it's voice small, tinny, and not particularly feminine or masculine. "I apologize for Allie's lack of manners, she's rather distraught."

    Aelinor's eyes flashed with anger, glancing at Ryna before looking back over at Sequence. "Story," Aelinor repeated sourly, before sucking in a breath and stalking over to Unintelligible and the dark figure. "So that's it then?" She spat, looking the dark figure up and down with a particular sort of disdain, before leveling her gaze at Unintelligible. "Are we just giving up?" Sequence didn't stir, and her breathing was soft and shallow, but she looked... peaceful.

    Aelinor pursed her lips, looking Ryna up and down for a moment. She glanced towards Unintelligible at the doors to the manor. "We can't offer you anything in return, but... We could always use more hands in finding a cure to that woman's ailment." She nodded towards Sequence, unconscious in Unintelligible's arms. "We hope whoever lives here has one, but we aren't sure. Whether we find one or not..." Aelinor furrowed her brow. "Things will... Calm down after this. I'm not sure what you mean by fraying..."

    Aelinor stepped up, giving Ryna a mistrustful look. Willow, the knife, floated up too, still glowing red and buzzing. "Sequence and Ivisyre have been... enemies for a long time, and Ivisyre finally won, simple as that," Aelinor said with a sour look on her face. "Sequence had a planet where she lived, and Ivisyre snuck onto it and..." Aelinor grimaced. "Bargained for her Narration. They fought before, a thousand or so pages ago, and she was wounded. Her Narration was the only thing keeping her alive, and now that it's gone, she's dying. Why do you want to know? Where exactly did you come from?"

    Aelinor frowned after Unintelligible, but moved to follow. Willow, the white floating knife whom had been hovering beside Aelinor, suddenly buzzed and glowed red. Aelinor perked up and whirled, stepping into a fighting stance and reaching for a sword that wasn’t there. “Who are you?” She asked, bewildered as to where the individual had come from as she glanced at Cadewyn and Ryver.

    Aelinor stepped through the first portal, but hesitated at the second. “How confident are you that you can do this again when we leave?” She asked, noticing the effort required from Ryver to open the way.

    "I wouldn't touch that if I were you," Aelinor said with a grimace, having slipped through the portal behind the group. She leaned closer, looking at it, and looking a lot like she wished she could help. "Conflict might do something," she said with a frown.

    Ivisyre sighed, dismissing Inversion and standing up straight. “No. Didn’t expect that to work anyways.” They took a big, exaggerated bow. “Good luck with the Witherlord. I hope it consumes you and you die.” They flashed a grin and vanished with a puff of mist.

    Ivisyre applauded slowly, a smile on their lips. “Yes. Impressive as it was, I think I’ll try.” A dark cavern, deep below a world of fire and destruction, began to collapse. The alloy making up the earth miles around the vault started melting and cracking as it began to cave in around the vault. Ivisyre watched Malevolence with a relaxed posture.

    Aelinor flinched, but allowed it. All the fingers on her right hand were gone besides her thumb. The gnarled, bloody flesh of her hand stitched itself back together with the contact, and Aelinor winced. The other fingers did not return though. Aelinor looked at her hand with a grimace and wrapped it back up. “Thanks for trying,” she said gruffly. Sequence murmured softly as Unintelligible lifted her. Her skin was a sickly sort of grey, and she looked smaller than normal. At least there was no sign of the black essence of the wound at her side seeping through her clothes yet. Aelinor looked down at the amulet and gave a curt nod of thanks to Ryver, brushing it gently with her one remaining thumb. She would likely need prosthetics to ever wield a sword again… Bother. Ivisyre watched Malevolence closely, their expression blank. “Daring,” they remarked, idly pushing some of their power into Inversion. The sword began to buzz softly and glow. “Is that truly all that motivates you? Becoming the ‘Greatest Evil’?”

    Aelinor frowned. "... As I understand it, each Author only has one Narrator, if it isn't destroyed. The mantle must be passed willingly. Like Nameless to Subversion, and..." Aelinor shivered. "Sequence to Ivisyre. Among others."

    "I'm fine," Aelinor snapped, glaring at Ryver. Her hands were clearly beyond repair, most of her fingers were missing and the bones crushed. "We don't have a Narrator to magically solve our problems anymore. We'll deal with it." She glanced at Sequence. "The only thing we can do for her is get that cure."

    Aelinor sat for a moment, then struggled to her feet with a grunt. "I'm coming," she said firmly, scowling down at her ruined hands before looking up to fix Unintelligible with a hard stare. Ivisyre nodded, and summoned Inversion. They leaned on the sword like a cane. "If it comes down to it, I can help. You have surveillance on the vault?"

    "The rabbit has a cure?" Aelinor asked, her voice hoarse. She didn't look up from her hands, which were bandaged heavily in her lap. Ivisyre waved their hand dismissively. "That is acceptable to me." Ivisyre glanced at the image, then looked back to examine Malevolence for another moment. "I don't know much of you. Are you able and willing to fight Rebus, should he make an attempt at the pages?"
