I think our best shot at solving this game is probably going back to past players and reading what they thought. I'll be honest, I'm not terribly happy right now, but I'll be looking back in the thread. Ping me/PM me if you want to talk.

Archer knew I'd traded locations, yes. And I'd inadvertently given him a 50 50 when was messaging people about elk because I mentioned which locations elk had asked me about (and said that i didn't tell him any new ones)

Back when I was sus of elk, I messaged you about him and in the process mentioned that I was in either x or y. (Not giving names publicly obviously) So you would have had a 50 50 shot of hitting me. --- Edit: not to mention the possibility of an elim informant

Archer Here's my thought process: e!Esooa would have little incentive to roleblock me over killing me if she thought I was alignment scanner I also found her reaction to be pretty townie; at least in my experience, that level of emotion is difficult to fake In addition, I reread our PMs and she did really seem like she didn't care about if I needed her location e!Archer, on the other hand, would want to roleblock me because that way he could pin the roleblock on Esooa and potentially get Esooa misexed as a result Archer was also the one who suggested that I ask Esooa for location in the first place Furthermore, Archer also admitted to thinking that I was the alignment scanner for a while Also, Archer said in PM that he didn't quite follow my reasoning for voting Esooa but followed me anyways, which is odd since I posted essentially the same reasoning in thread than in PM Lastly, I've found Esooa to be significantly more townie in the past two in game days than Archer I'll be around til noon PST (plus checking in real quick sometime around 2 PST) if anyone wants me to explain more. I've also explained my logic a bit more in PMs to certain people; they can explain more if they want.

I claimed location, but not role. The thing is that I told esooa that I was asking for her location on behalf of the alignment scanner - Esooa could have thought that I actually was the alignment scanner pretending not to be (if that makes sense - it's kind of like how when people say "asking for a friend" they could really just be asking for themself)

I led by offering to trade locations - you didn't ask for mine because I was already offering it to you. This proves nothing.

Here's what happened: I told esooa that someone had claimed alignment scanner to me and wanted to know her location (in pretty much the same wording), and I proposed that we trade locations. Esooa agreed, and I passed on the relevant information. I was roleblocked tonight, and literally nobody knew my location except esooa and elk. Which leads me to believe that esooa thought I was the alignment scanner pretending to be the middleman, and she or her team roleblocked me. Therefore, the only possibilities where esooa is town are: The elimteam randomly guessed at my location just to roleblock me (unlikely, since charges are limited and I haven't claimed to anyone) A townie randomly guessed at my location just to roleblock me (even more unlikely) An elim informant learned my location and elims decided to roleblock me instead of kill me (which is the most likely out of the v!esooa scenarios, but still a reach imo) A town soother informant learned my location and roleblocked me (and again, I haven't claimed so this is very unlikely) Edit: thinking back, there are two people who would have a 50-50 shot of guessing which house I'm in. Which is pretty good, but I still don't really see why they would guess just to roleblock somebody who hasn't claimed.

esooa Will explain when I go back on break --- Edit: long story short, I got roleblocked and the only two people who knew my location were esooa and elkanah. And elk is dead, so it must have been esooa (or elim partner) who roleblocked me.

I actually voted Elk D1 but sure For future reference my elim play normally involves trying to push out villagers and explaining away why I did that after the fact instead of pushing people and hopping off the wagon before it gets exed --- Edit: will post reads tomorrow after I finish looking at D1 votes, signing off for now unless y'all ping me in the next 5 minutes lol

here I am trying to do vote count analysis and two of my townreads are going after each other smh --- I did a reread of mat's posts this game - here's my thoughts: Posts have relatively less content than I remember (go figure, my memory is that of a walnut) Tone still feels solvey to me I read the 'experiment' post and the surrounding context - I really don't feel the 'elim hunting for an easy push that they can hop off of' vibe from it. It's difficult to quantify, but it just doesn't feel like that. So a bunch of conflicting feelings; overall I still townlean this (at least to me; your mileage (or kilometarage depending on where you live) may vary)

I'm getting concerned with how easy the Elk push is - it feels to me that pushing an elim would have significantly more resistance and I'm kinda worried we're going after low hanging fruit. -- I know that I was one of the people leading the push on Elk, but I'm getting serious second thoughts.
