Ok I listen to audio so im not super familiar with Shallans sketches. But I've looked before and they are awesome. And you don't need full sketches to make it awesome. You can have little snippets of sketches like how spren appear in the physical realm. (Anger spren saliva or whatever. Can't 100% remember rn. Lol)

Sorry if this has been said. BUT he is starting as a mental health psychiatrist. He is now protecting the mind. The whole ordeal with him and his father since day 1 is saving without killing. Do I have to kill to protect? Etc etc. Like it has been a straight beeline to "I can protect without killing" from day 1 in my opinion. My only issue is it seems too obvious. Sorry again if I overlooked Edit - just randomly thinking it over again, think about the duels with the fused and Leshwi. They fought honorably and did not kill each other. Because Kaladin knew if he spared them then in return they would spare his men. I think he is heading towards peace. Physical and mental peace. And he could still die regardless. Achieve inner peace. Die as a martyr because you decide you won't kill.

Check "Bent to Fly" by Slash. When it randomly comes on through shuffle play I always think of it as the Kaladin theme song. Lol

I could probably read Ishar part a couple more times. It's one of my favorite parts seeing him fight as a bondsmith. I cannot wrap my head around his goal though. When I go through my thought process goes to WoT. Like most people go to Tel-a-whatever dream world. Then some people step into it physically. This is how I'm relating what happens to the spren. Its like to the spren the physical realm is like WoT dream world and Ishar is forcing them through "physically". So instead of coming in their typical realm form like a normal radiant spren, Syl disappearing and showing herself to who she wants, the cryptics doing spacey awesome cryptic things on random surfaces. Etc etc. Instead he is bringing them in "physically" in their real body. I'm not personally relating it to hemalurgy. And I have this big hunch saying it has something to do with Connection. But that seems more like Kelek's deal than Ishar? Ishar could still want unbounded from the system. I dunno. Random thoughts. Very very interesting part of the book.

After doing a full cosmere reread I am stuck on the idea of Adolin healing Maya for the champions duel. It's completely in character for him. He took on all the duels in WoR. He took on the trial alone at Lasting Integrity. And I mean he kind of started the awakening process for a dead-eye. I'm pretty sure BS said the ending of the 1st 1/2 is foreshadowed within the 1st 2 books. In WoR Dalinar says something along the lines of needing to step back and be the politician and let Adolin be the sword. He also said "we are fighting for the shards themselves" that could be a huge hint. Then imagine what it would do to Dalinar if Adolin lost. He may very well be willing to give TOdium his pain at that point. Lots of ways it could go. But definitely want Adolin and Maya to play a big role. As far as Odiums champion it would have to be a fused or someone Taravangian knew. That's a lot of people but how many did he know very well that could meet the qualifications? Shallan has some pain to rid herself of. That at least seemed the big deal with Rayse is he would take away your emotions. Guess that doesn't have to hold true with everyone. I don't think it's El but I think El collecting the soul of The Defeated One could play a big part in some way. Something akin to hemalurgy. I also don't think it's Moash but I have a feeling he will try to kill Syl. Side note - think Renarin will play a big part 1 way or the other. Would be really cool of somehow Szeth ascended to the 5th ideal in ti.e and had Szeth vs Nale as "The Law vs The Law" for the fate of Roshar. (Don't think this will happen, at least not in the Champions Duel.)

If I had to guess one of the heralds I would probably point to Ishar. Taln is not sane enough and if he were to somehow have his mind cleansed I don't think he would ever give in anyways. He only broke once compared to how many times for the other heralds? He had the glimpses of sanity where it seemed like he wanted to help dalinar. But interactions with Nale among other things kind of single him out to me much more than Taln.

Hi. New member. 1st post. Sorry if this topic has been addressed a lot previously but I had a random idea I wanted to share. I already see 1 hole in my idea in that I don't see why my champion idea would need shardplate. But my theory however outlandish it may seem is that Odiums champion is either a culmination of the Unmade. Think Adolnasium. Rayse would have been there at the shattering and would have a strong knowledge of the way things work in the cosmere. Adolnasium was splintered into 16 shards each representing a different trait or ideal or whatever. So what if the 9 unmade used to be 1 being or 1 spren that Odium "unmade" into the 9 splinters each with their own separate attribute that the being has as a whole. That would be the 9 shadows. Odium could remake them? Alternatively it could be a 10th unmade that's more intelligent and stays kind of behind the scenes. Like I said, kind of out there but anyone think it may have merit?
