  1. Heck, I might even bring in some smaller antagonists and a load of more lore- maybe a set of Micheal and Spook flashback...
  2. I'm writing this all as if it's a novel, Platypus, I can't stop- It's too late to go back now-
  3. *grins* Darkness, Spook, Micheal and some of the Shadows have been doing some things offscreen that are gonna be fun.
  4. heheheh *laughs in preparing some things*
  5. I believe, when he comes up with a book, part of the writing time that would go to that book would be working on the outline.
  6. I have something to say!
  7. If you're seeing this before the 16th... and even on the 16th, before five o clock...

  9. They were my first real role-play character. It will take a long time to explain who he is, but I'll give the brief recap. So, basically, this guy named Zave was a thief. He got caught by the princess and basically talked his way into being hired as a guard to teach them how to defend against thieves, as he knows how to break into places. Then he fell in love with the princess. Skip a bit and he dies because of a demon who'd killed his family. Said demon then brings him back to life and stuff happens. Zave and the princess, who aren't a thing because she never had feelings for him, capture the demon, except for small parts of him. One of those parts found this person named Finnley who Zave would later regard as a brother. Finnley did some things and freed the demon because he didn't know. Skip a long time and a few deaths, the demon being defeated several times, and Zave has gone through several character arcs and rehauls and character personality. He is now a gun-slinging mercenary who considers himself as the princess's brother, Finnley's brother, and a load of other people as their honorary brother. Finnley, though, he adopted as his sibling and gave his last name. Metsk. He has a similar sense of humor to Wayne, though not all the way, and this is countered by his dead loyalty to anyone he calls friend and his dedication to doing the right thing. For the Renarin side... the lad loves books and used to be super awkward with people at times. Oh, also throw in Kelsier's rogue-ish-ness and his determination. Oh, and his finale was getting a spaceship and leaving after his fiancee dumped him. Oh, and the last character I mentioned was his cousin's son.
  10. Someone combined Wax, Wayne, Renarin and Kelsier, oh no- The Joker is leading a cultish evil organization and has to ally another organization led by the person he supposedly worships' daughter. He winds up falling in love with her and ends up being more like Bob from Incredibles. @SmilingPanda19 bet you can guess who this is, shardsock. Armulyn from Wingfeather Saga combined with Bilbo and Gandalf. A stuttering, artistic woman who is basically me in female form, with a lot of adjustments, and who happens to have found a magical writing utensil. Oh, and she has some elements of Shallan. Let's see.... let's combine Dalinar, Wax and Nick Fury to see what happens. Turns out, it comes out as the insecure general named Kurin. A roguish thief with a propensity for flirting with princesses and any woman he meets (and maybe some of the guys, I don't know). A mad lad son of a mafia boss who knows he shouldn't be in the mafia, but wants to please his father so stays. He loves The Godfather, too. He loves writing poetry and reading about new words. And... last, but not least... the small child who wound up torturing the woman who tortured him and his family, almost killed her and ripped her eye out with a fork, was it? I can't remember... I was far more gory in my writing then. Not going to do it again... Oh, and he also ended up being super moody and "swearing" a lot, he also was smoking a bit because it just worked at the time. He was kinda an edge lord too, which was weird to write. I guess, if I was ever going to have a rebellious phase, this is where it went.
  11. ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh ehhhhhhh unacceptable. *pulls in Thaidakar out of the beyond* I'm joking, I'm never bringing Thaidakar back unless someone else uses time travel or summons him somehow.
  12. hold your horses, Cacophony. You're not the oldest Narrator. Did you see Ene's posts? And, besides, Spook's going to be a narrator once I'm in the mood to make him fully one. I'm fairly certain he's been around way longer than Platypus has been. And, furthermore, Nameless will forever be the oldest Narrator. He'll be back eventually... We all know that.
  13. What about... eXpErIeNcE?
  14. Y'all remember that bit of writing I mentioned yesterday?

Well... I'm realizing that some of it comes across waaaaaay more passionate and waaaaaay more... controversial, shall we say? than what I wanted it to be. It's far more argumentative than I would've liked and is just... far from where it's supposed to be. It's less of an "inspiration journal" and more of a "ranting record." The first paragraph or so is salvageable, as is some of my final points, but like- it is not something I want to ever see the light of day.

Ooh, I also decided to skip rereading the Royal Ranger books I've read before and have started the Missing Prince. Though, I feel as if I've read it before. I might have actually read it, but only remember like two scenes with Maddie practicing to be a jongleur. A New Beginning is a horrible sequel and soft reboot of ranger's apprentice.

I really liked the old days. Also, slings are way harder than Flanagan makes them sound.

OH! also look up the Brotherband chronicles, the first couple are the best ones but most are decent

I've read the first two Brotherband, the third one lost me quickly.

Most of the OG books were amazing. Ruins was a great beginning, burning bridge was okay, Icebound Land and Oakleaf bearers/The Battle For Skandia were a wonderful duology. Macindaw and Sorcerer were also awesome as was KoC and HP

Have any of you tried using a sling? they're soooooo hard to aim precisely. and they're powerful and hard.

  15. I get that... I agree in part, though I do think Plot should be brought back... eventually. Not yet. Not for a good long while when we've run out of antagonists. And, besides, when I said Platypus's title could be the Unifier, I was thinking of something altogether different than the Plotblades. ima go sleep.
  16. You know that look when you're plotting to win..
  17. "I believe so, Platypus," said Mythos. he turned to Moni again, "He is. Desolation is a more frontal attack on us and should therefore be dealt with first." *Shrug* maybe unifier? We'll see...
  18. Mythos laughed, "Well... you know what Foe did in basically rewriting the prophesies?" Mythos asked with a grin on his face. "I think, given enough time, I could replicate it and make it possible to change the future by changing the prophesies. Or we could guide the future in different ways, which is what I find more likely. Foe probably just saw the future and guided TLT in the direction he wanted, thus forcing the prophesies to change to match the specific avenue Foe chose. I need to test my hypothesis sometime." "and, Moni," Mythos turned to her, "Desolation should be our first target, if to get practice to defeat the bigger threat. I'm far more worried about Darkness than Desolation, however."
  19. Yo? you were fun to be around, my friend, where'd you go?

      sorry for disappearing

  20. XD He's realized something that I'll have him say if Platypus asks about it. "Sounds like Brighton," Mythos said softly. "He's far more powerful than you realize. I've known him all my life and never before has he been the type to sit down and let others plot his demise. He's trying to make us underestimate him, that's my bet." @Nameless*
  21. I agree with you there, actually...
