    1. The Aspiring Archivist

      The Aspiring Archivist

  4. I LOVE THEM!! TMA is amazing and art makes everything better I just realized that this was a thing a few days ago lol. It's so funny how a fandom can just collectively decide a thing and then it's basically canon!
  5. You are all beautiful and unique people! Being you is more than enough. My happy place is a corner in my local library. There's a little table in the YA section where I sit and do my homework on fridays listening to music by the Piano Guys or similar composers. It's quiet and most often deserted and I am surrounded by books. I am doing something that needs to be done and feel good about it. In a perfect world, my other happy place would be in a cabin in the woods sensing a theme with bookshelves on all of the walls. There would be a fireplace and a stack of blankets in the corner. I would be on a couch with pillows that you can disappear into. I'd still be listening to music and I'd be reading one of my favorite books - my comfort books. I'd have little chocolates and some delicious snack like flavored pretzels. I'd have my phone nearby and would be texting family and friends. I wouldn't have anything pressing on me or anything that I need to accomplish. Just books and peace.
  6. I agree with what Tani said. You know what you need better than anyone else does. If you want this then go ahead! You're trying to improve yourself and that's a worthy goal.
  7. I may have converted another >:) my cousin came over. She loves Sanderson and Scythe and she just finished the Six of Crows duology. She said she absolutely loved it so I recommended her TRC!!!!! She said she's going to our local Barnes and Noble today and might buy it!!
  8. Sweet! A bit different than you normally do, which is cool!
  9. I think that's why lol that and your pfps of antiheros!
  10. I love it! The shadows especially. They're really good!
  11. I think that one of the best things about organized religion and just this religion specifically is the sense of community. I've found some of my best friends through the church!
  12. I don't want to go back and quote everybody talking about the number of youth so just consider yourselves quoted My ward is a statistical anomaly. We have a ton of youth, but it's super unbalanced. We have a grand total of 20 young women and a grand total of 50 young men! We don't know how they outnumber us by that much. And the ages are crazy unbalanced too. Half of all of the youth are in our oldest group and the rest are split between the younger groups. A bunch of the young women were gone today, so I was one of three in sunday school today, along with about 20 young men! It's just very odd in general.
  13. Oh I like it! The angles and perspective are really, really good.
  14. LOL! I love them! I see that you kept the Chaotic Elf TM and I love it It depends on who I'm with. Maybe we can share a communal brain cell.
  15. Oh I am so excited!!!!!!! It looks fantastic!!!!!! All of the actors look incredible. I'm thinking that they're going to mess with the plots and not do the ice court heist, which is sad but I guess it makes this essentially an extra SoC novel so I'm not complaining.
  16. Yeah the respect thing is an issue. Subs have it so hard. It sounds like it's gotten a bit better? Which is good. School can definitely be stressful and hard, but I think it's worth it and I hope you do to! The shard is great for that! And I agree. Being a nerd has helped me make most of my friendships, although I think sports can do that for you too. It didn't for me but I think it does for a lot of people? I am not super looking forward to college and an increase of that type of stress. On top of dealing with being an adult :/ Again it sounds like it's a bit better now so that's good.
  17. Yeah I'm actually really glad that I've never experienced that specific type of pressure because I'm sure it can be a lot worse than sports pressure. I fortunately got extremely lucky and am in most of the same classes as the smartest kid at my school, who happens to be the type that scores higher on the standardized tests than the teachers. I hope the pressure isn't too much! I want to say "don't worry about it too much!" but I know that that's not very helpful or possible in a lot of scenarios.
  18. Yeah that makes total sense. That's why I added the "usually". Maybe it's just in my case but I tried school sports and they were absurdly stressful so I quit. Not to say that school isn't stressful, but I don't do well with team sports. At least in school no one else is relying on me
