Craven looked around wildly for the source of the voice, and then grinned when he saw Remembrance. "I think I remember you!"

Remembrance bobs its now little head, attempting to mimick a nod. The movement is not quite right, more of a shake then anything else, but one would most likely get the gist.

Amusement and pleasure emanates from the creature. This is well. Memory is.

Going missing for several weeks straight then just dropping back in is exactly what I did :P Canonically Craven was moping in a hut for however many in-world days that was, though

Ahhh, I see. Well, that makes me feel better. :)

"Woahhhh..." Craven said, poking the table. "Is this real?" It felt real.

Remembrance slides over to Craven, shrinking slightly and coiling about a leg of the table. Nothing is real, depending on the In.

Believe me pal, you don't need an excuse. Feel free to write one if you want, but people going missing for several weeks straight then just dropping back in suddenly is kinda the norm here.

Ah, yes... Apologies for that. I'll use this pocket dimension you've created.

A ripple of space, a shimmer of light, and Remembrance "flows" into Fadran's new pocket dimension.

Ah, an Out-place! An undercurrent of pleasure flicks around the snake-like creature, manifesting as lines of orange on its "skin".

I need a reentry point for Remembrance. It has been away for too long, and I'm not really sure how to explain its absence. The last thing I had it do was shift into an alternate set of spatial dimensions for exploration purposes, soooo... perhaps it got lost on Sel? Are we even on Sel still? I've been gone too long, and there are so many new people, I'm not really sure what's going on right now. XD

I'll say here that Crimson is from Myrkr, a planet in the Star Wars universe where many of the creatures are immune to the Force. As such, he's resistant to any direct magical effects, especially mental ones. The thoughts that Remembrance is able to read will likely be distorted or weakened, but they should be able to at least sense Crimson's mission, which is to investigate the Fellowship, and that begins with getting these two beings to give him information.

    Quote

Is Crimson a Neti? No, no... that can't be right, Neti are plant-like.

Oop, I should probably specify that Remembrance's abilities are not magical in nature, though I guess since Force immunities are usually biological processes, it would probably still effect Remembrance. Noted, thank you!

"Correct." Crimson is surprised, but not altogether concerned or perturbed. A glowing snake appearing out of the air is far from the strangest thing he's seen.

Remembrance's curiosity only increases, a noticeable tide of emotion that washes over anyone in the near vicinity. A questing thought enters the outer layer of Crimson's mind, seeking any knowledge he might be willing to give away, without actually probing his memories.

What kind of information would be found in Crimson's surface thoughts?

When he woke up, he started setting up a fire, but when he noticed no one else awake, he just created one.

By the way, Remembrance doesn't sleep due to its discorporate nature. Though I'm not sure it would understand exactly what you just did there, so it won't say anything to anyone. :D

"My name's Crimson. I'm told to look for a... Fadran. Do you know that name?"

"As to what I am, worry not. Replicans are rare even where I come from. Think of me as just an oddity."

Remembrance witnesses the arrival of Crimson from outside human spatial dimensions, which warrants a burst of curiosity. It contains the curiosity to its local area, only perceivable by Crimson and Ember. The air around the pair begins to ripple and warp. A faint glow begins to pattern the rippling air, eventually taking the form of a giant serpentine figure. It rears its head, which is bristled in what seems to be feathers. It does not have skin, as its "body" is made up of a white-blue energy. Along with the figure comes a presence, a presence that speaks to the minds and hearts (or equivalent organs) of the pair.

Curious... You are new. Not of this universe.

I'm going to pretend I didn't tear up just now.

The flow of thought begins to stem, eventually ceasing, ending Remembrance's song of mourning. The various colors on its "hide" slowly melt away to white as it lowers its head in respect. A small thought, very quiet, makes its way to no one in particular.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadow shall spring.

    Her Chaos remains. Perhaps...

  10. Quote

Oh my... I know I'm new, but I think I might actually cry.

Around Ayia, Tvora, and Martin, the air shimmers and warps as Remembrance sticks back into their spatial dimensions. It attempts to find Tvora's thoughts, but cannot. There is... nothing. Its mind fills with sadness, which leaks over into the minds of those around it.

A splash of purple appears on Remembrance, creating a rippling effect along its "skin." More splotches of purple, and now blue appear, creating similar effects. With the rippling comes strange vibrations in the air, causing small, quiet, chime-like noises. Remembrance pushes outwards to the the minds of the group, a cacaphony of sound solely made up of thought that ebbs and flows as a tide. Those thoughts swell into a song, far off and longing, ethereal in entity. A song of mourning, a song of loss, but also a song of protection and courage to those that hear it. A hopeful wish that the spirits of the fallen travel swiftly, that they may always rest in peace.

    Yes.

Not right off the bat. Remembrance doesn't really understand physical expression of emotion, as it is mostly a being of spirit and mind, but if there was a telepathic link between it and the person in question, then it would be able to sense their emotions. However, if the person had the right knowledge, or the right abilities, then they could shield themselves from it. Remembrance could forcibly break such a shield (depending on the person) to probe them for information, but it doesn't like to perform deep mental/emotional probes with humans ever since its interaction with Craven, and there are ways to completely block a mental intrusion from Remembrance. Plus, it has a sense of honor, though that hasn't become a necessary thing to bring up as of yet.

    TL;DR

    Yes, it can sense emotions.

  12. @Matrim's Dice

Remembrance begins moving towards Craven, its form suddenly flowing into a point of space in front of it, dodging a colorsucker by ceasing to exist. After a moment, the air near Craven begins to bend and twist, solidifying around him into the coiling form of Remembrance. It directs its thoughts at Craven.

    Come, little one.

It lowers its head down next to Craven, projecting an image of him boarding the space behind Remembrance's "feathered" head.

Climb aboard, I will not harm you. Let us fetch Tvora, hmm?

    Quote

    @Tani

Once Matrim responds as Craven, Remembrance is coming for Tvora. :D
It likes Craven and Tvora, and doesn't want them to get hurt.
