Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole
Wonko the Sane replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Bleh. I don't have time for a vote count, so I'm going to hope that switching from WitIsTheBest to TKN is the best way to save Stick.- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole
Wonko the Sane replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am indeed an exception myself. Only certain roles are capable of passing the test. But I still believe it would have been very difficult to lie through it. I'll acknowledge that I'm not at all certain about TKN myself. There are some small holes in his story to me; however, I think it's worth keeping him alive until I can further interrogate him. But I'll absolutely bow to a TKN exe over Stick, who I'm almost certain is village. Unless they've been engaging in the game; taking actions and talking in docs. I don't like that I've seen their name at the bottom of the page like ten times today. They are clearly watching what's happening. You know, somewhat agreed. He passed the test today, but he notably waited more than 21 hours to respond to me -- he had the opportunity to answer C4, but didn't. If a villager has the Vorpal Sword, please kill Xino for us? Ash passed, but only today -- and he took some prompting first, which further lowers the validity of the test.- 683 replies

Hey, guys? I'd really prefer we didn't kill Stick. She's fairly high on my trust list, for a number of reasons. Anyone else we can rally around?- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole

Quintessential passed her test, though those who know the test know that means less today than it did yesterday. Regardless, she was never a very hard target; I'm just trying to save TKN until I'm sure what's going on with him. Hmmm... WitIsTheBest. I know absolutely nothing solid about him, but he's been checking the thread fairly regularly -- but saying absolutely nothing. @ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ , chance to defend yourself?- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole
Wonko the Sane replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don’t see the two as irreconcilable; just pick a target we suspect of being an enemy. It doesn’t change the kill itself, but calling the shot in advance lets us softly confirm who has the sword at the same time, with the only risk being some protect action in Bandersnatch hands — something I think we can agree is unlikely. My argument to Stick was more or less the same as Ash’s argument in the thread; TKN had been largely inactive and could easily have missed the information about the Curse. I was, however, motivated to make my argument due to some evidence I had that I did not share with Stick. That evidence has been substantially weakened since then, and I’m no longer fully confident in a TKN exe. As an alternative exe, I will propose Quintessential. A number of you are aware of a certain test I’ve been using to softly confirm alignment; Quinn is among the players who did not pass it. She did not directly fail it, either, though, so this is a very soft vote — I’m willing to direct it elsewhere if another viable alternative to TKN presents itself.- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole
Wonko the Sane replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
*sigh*. I was afraid people would compare notes. All right, I will begrudgingly acknowledge that PMing is a power I have. I also got an additional action last turn. I’m trying to be cautious with saying too much here, because I have a habit of doing that, and because I have a longstanding, never-yet-broken playstyle rule that I don’t tell lies in SE. (Within reasonable exception; for example, if e!Wonko is forced point-blank to answer a question about his alignment, he’s allowed to lie in that case.) Stick, you are incorrect; at least two other players have claimed the same role as Experience, so presumably they have the same power, and then there’s me, with a completely different PM power. EDIT: The Shard glitched out on me and doubled this post; I “hid” one of them, and I no longer see it; I hope that hides it for everyone, and not just me?- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole
Wonko the Sane replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
You didn't block TKN; he was Tea Party, he won last minigame. You blocked me and the other Animals, because you were the only Tea Party member who didn't shrink. Also, your Curse wasn't the reason your C1 action failed, Ash's was. He blocked you in C2, and that got transmitted back to C1. Does anyone Cursed by Time have an example of an action they took (except for opening PMs) that was NOT time traveled?- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole
Wonko the Sane replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
We can only hope. If it's like last minigame, though, either the Jabberwock or a Bandersnatch has it now. If the Jabberwock has it, it probably can't use it; I imagine it takes an action to use, because otherwise TJ would probably have used it, given our concerns last round that there wouldn't be enough kills in the game. Proposal: we check whether a villager has it by asking the holder to kill someone we vote for. If the Jabberwock has it, no one extra will die. If someone besides the stated target dies, there's a good chance a Bandersnatch has it. If the target dies, it could still be a Bandersnatch, but we'll at least have ruled out Jabberwock. (Note: this does assume that the sword works as a regular coinshot power, which is not guaranteed. Knowing this game, it could we'll be some Wonderland nonsense like "when you PM a player the phrase 'Snicker-Snack', if that player is the Jabberwock, they die instantly". It could really be anything in this game. >>)- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole
Wonko the Sane replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I actually don't have TJ in my contact list yet. It does interest me that the Jabberwock picked the targets they did. Either they actually knew who TJ was (and possibly me; there are good reasons for the Jabberwock to want me out of the picture), or suspected both of us of being Bandersnatches. This points to someone either remarkably well-informed, or remarkably uninformed. This does solve our distro issues, by the way. It's four kills per turn, not 3, which makes a victory for either Creatures or Bandersnatches much more plausible.- 683 replies

Mmkay. I was just applying pressure, didn't realize you couldn't respond. Matrim's Dice I'm terrible at reading, so I'll reserve my vote until later in the cycle, in the hopes that I can acquire a little more hard information.- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole
Wonko the Sane replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Guys, I was just absent. XD My lack of engagement is NAI, since it was caused by real life obligations. I do intend to start solving as I get my feet under me. That said, with this being a more traditional game, I'll be much less effective; I'm good at negotiating and coordination; not so much at deception and reads. But I'll do my best, and my web of contacts should be useful. I'll level a vote at Matrim's Dice to further encourage him to share this interesting PM defense everyone's talking about.- 683 replies

I don't know for certain, no, but I have guesses. I have two solid possibilities; one more solid than the other. Honestly, just eat your Cake and I don't need to know; even in the case where I'm wrong about you, I don't see you messing with my win condition.- 683 replies
