    Rolling her eyes, Knalya retorted, “Oh come on. You know I can’t resist an opportunity to make something new!” Her eyes shift to her closet where frills, lace, and satin were barely being held back by the flimsy sliding doors. “Ooh- or, if you want, I could alter a dress I already have to fit you.”

    Turns out my sprained ankle wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! I can actually walk on it without pain, unless it bends at a certain angle. Yay!!

    “Huh? Yeah, it’s done!” Knalya was still smiling. “Now I can finally start making something for you for the upcoming Winter Formal. What do you have in mind?”

    Knalya put the last stitch of the gown into place and took a step back. It was her biggest project yet. Fifteen petticoats made it poof put much more than any of her other dresses. Made of leaves she had magicked into fabric it was what a forest nymph would wear to a royal ball. It had twinkling lights sparser throughout it and flowering vines hung on the bodice, draping to outline the skirt. She squealed in excitement. “It’s finally done!!”

    OK I LOVE SEMINARY SO MUCH AND I HEAVE EARLY MORNING ITS LITERALLY MY FAVORITE PART OF THE DAY!!! (When it’s not summer of course)

    I feel you. We had new boundaries implemented a few months ago, (we didn’t change wards) but I remember moving to a new house within our stake and knowing no one. It was stressful, but now I know people from several wards so stake activities are really cool because now I know tons of people!

    Knalya looked down. She was wearing a dress formed of immaculately folded pages of a book- Her favorite fantasy book, specifically. It was the dress she always wore to any sort of book-related errand. “Thanks! It’s one of my favorites.” Knalya looked at the dead body. “If you need to cover that up, I can turn that corpse into fabric,” she said in a joking tone.

    Sprained ankles are not fun.

    Especially when you’re dog sitting and have to go on walks. (But luckily I have brothers to do that for me.)

    Especially when immediately after you sprained it you try to just walk it off and go walk around for three hours, square dance for another hour, and then go horseback riding.

    Especially when you have FSY in one week and you need to be able to walk around.

    Especially when you’re going on a three-hour bike ride down a really cool bike trail in three weeks when you only got your bike a few weeks ago and haven’t ridden in a long time.

    But I mean other than that, life’s pretty good! At least it’s only a minor sprain and could’ve very much been worse.

    Knalya looked down the rows of bookshelves, searching for a specific book her friend from the US told her about. There! “The Fallen Star: Seamstress Edition” The normal edition was just a fantasy book, but this version had complete sewing patterns and instructions for each outfit shown in the story. Every single one. Quite the bargain, if you asked her. Bringing the hefty novel to the front counter, she was surprised to see the chaos that played out.

      To clarify: a friend of my mom has 4-year old twins she named Kaladin and Elend. Babysitting them and their two older brothers (ages 6 and 8) was my first babysitting job (luckily my sister was there too for backup). Did I die? No. Did the kids die? No. Do I call that a success? Yes. (Also coincidentally Elend was more affectionate and Kaladin was more intense- funny how their personalities matched up with their names haha)
