  1. Yes you can! This is a complicated game, but I think that just means you'll get twice the experience You and @Kit_Kat (forget to tell them earlier) should make sure to read Welcome to SE and the Rules and Etiquette (both linked below) some time before the game starts
  2. Wahr is correct. I don't mind a ton if we get a late sign up, but it does make my life easier. That being said, I'd rather have another player than not, so anyone reading this in the future should still feel free to sign up
  3. I was told a little while ago that we're only doing one slot per game type now People are grandfathered in, but can't get more until they're out of slots
  4. Yeah, they're copy and pasted from an AG. Just consider the Pseudocycle to be both day and night as far as role text is concerned. I don't think that creates any problems, but I'm here if it does You can always hang out in the spec doc
  5. I'll put you two down. Once the game starts, you'll receive a PM with a link to the spectator doc There's also Araris Valerian, the retired poo bear that sits on his porch all day
  6. You can just use one PM per person, however, you will not be able to PM players who are dead in both games, nor will you be able to PM players who are dead in the Metagame after PMs are closed in the Pseudogame. Does that make sense?
  7. Uh... No? I'm not sure what you mean tbh The Metagame and the Pseudogame don't really interact with each other except in three ways 1. The person who is exed in the Pseudogame, however many votes they had, the top person up for the exe in the Metagame must have at least that many votes. (If TUM is executed with three votes P1, then you will need three or more votes to exe someone M1) 2. The PseudoGM role can change roles in the Pseudogame. The PseudoIM is then told these changes. 3. At the conclusion of the Pseudogame, it will be revealed which faction the elims Bet on. The reward depending on whether they won or lost will then be carried out. (If they win, the elims will receive a conversion that they can use, if they lose, half of the elim team will be revealed) Otherwise, its like two completely separate MRs that alternate. Every player will have meta roles and pseudoroles and meta alignments and pseudo alignments, but they don't cross over.
  8. Canonically, you're being like investigated by the mods, which prevents you from voting or doing actions, but you can still use your anonymous account in the Metagame Is one of your twins named Cad and the other named Com? Congratulations btw
  9. You can always spectate! We'll have a Google Doc where we (me, my co-GM, the IM, and any other spectators) will discuss the game and just generally chat.
  10. Speak of the devil and he shall appear (for reference ) Dying in the Metagame will not kill you, nor will the reverse. In addition, dying does not stop you from discussing, just voting and using actions
  11. Don't worry, someone else will come along and ask some more soon I'll put you down as a pinch-hitter, but let me know, we'd love to have you Years? I remember when you came back last time Maybe I am getting old Understanding the rules is for nerds. I don't understand them and I'm pretty sure I wrote them
  12. The last part is correct, Pseudogame roles and alignments are decided at the beginning of the game like a normal game, but the players aren't told their roles or alignments until Pseudocycle One. Simultaneously, like two MRs happening at once. Edit: Also note that there is no kill or exe on N0
  13. The Bet will be made without knowledge of the Pseudogame distro, to prevent them from exploiting something that I miss when making said distro. The elims are not the same, no. Will do. Two different games, the Pseudogame game gives a benefit depending of who wins the Bet As long as it's only "kind of" inactive, you're probably fine. I'll sign you up for now
  14. Your roleplay would be yourself or a fictional SE player. Trying to avoid players playing as each other because it can be problematic Basically, you're playing two games at the same time. On even cycles (well, odd cycles if you count Night Zero), you will be playing the Pseudogame, where you will be trying to figure out which faction the Metagame elims want to win. On odd cycles, you will be playing the Metagame, where you will be hunting the elims like normal. Really, if you just treat even and odd cycles as separate games, you can't go too wrong.
  15. LG112 - Sign-Ups: A Game Within a Game Within a Game Within… The Unknown Player opened SE. The Anniversary Game had just posted signups. He read through the setting. It seemed pretty nonsensical this year, Shardworlds with Tyrian roles? And that investiture vote manipulation couldn't be balanced. Sure, he had been one of the ones to approve the ruleset, but that didn't mean he actually read the rules. Still, it wasn't like he wasn't going to sign up regardless. He scrolled through the cosmetic role list, trying to come up with ideas, but was interrupted by a notification. There was a new post in the topic. “Attention, roleplay during the Anniversary Game has been canceled this year. The Roleplay Characters, particularly long running multigame personas, seem to have developed a mind of their own. They sent the mods a message, threatening to release the k01055 upon the forum, though they do not yet have enough influence. We believe they have infiltrated the Anniversary Game and are attempting to sway the result. We must find them as a community. If we fail, the entire 17th Shard might be overrun.” What in damnation? The Unknown Player wondered. He checked his backlog of Discord messages. How had he missed this? Well, he had to help find these rogue Roleplay Characters. He sent a message to the GM. “We can't let them release the k01055 on the Shard. I'm in.” ~ Welcome, welcome, welcome to Long Game 112: A Game Within a Game Within a Game Within… Well, you get the gist. As you might have guessed, this is a Meta game, where players will be playing themselves or fictional SE players, facing off against sentient Roleplay Characters in two games simultaneously. I will be your GM, @Wahr will be my Co-GM, and @Jo will be the IM. This game will begin in a little over a week's time on Tuesday the 26th of May at 11:00 AM Central Time. Rollovers will remain at that time. This is a complex game, which will likely go longer than an average game. To compensate, cycles have been lengthened, but if you can't check in multiple times every two days, come join us in the spectator doc. Note that the votes will be done differently than normal, so read that carefully and feel free to ask any questions (or volunteer to make the spreadsheet pretty, cause I ain't doing it). You can find the rules here in Google Doc form: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nIkEzRgRQtSFQ7VN-QyhbFkzt8hJhnGwK2xDmLwYp9U/edit?usp=drivesdk And here on the Shard: LG112: A Game Within a Game Within a Game Within... Players: Spectators: Pinch-Hitters: I think that's everything, let me know if I missed anything
  16. And what have you done every turn? Sorry for the slow interrogation, but this is the only way I might be convinced
