  1. She looked at Terrance. "Are you ignoring me now?" She asked, narrowing her eyes.
  2. Elsie sighed. "When are we gonna get there?" She asked, obviously bored.
  3. She paused. "Right. People. Sorry." She said sheepishly.
  4. "Can I see?" She asked enthusiastically.
  5. While originally saddened by the dodge, she brightened when she heard about the bracelet. "That's so cool!"
  6. Elsie grinned, and high fived him. "Cool! Who's your godly parent? Do you have a cool magic weapon thing? What's your favorite color?"
  7. Elsie sighed. Now that she's woken up, it would take a while to fall back asleep. She turned to someone she hadn't talked to yet. "Hi. I'm Elsie. We haven't talked yet, right? What's your name?" She asked, extending her hand for him to shake.
  8. Elsie woke up, hearing something growling.
  9. "I'm gonna take a nap." Elsie said, as the adrenaline finished completely fading. "Wake me up when we gotta go." She said, eyes closing.
  10. She folded her arms. "I can, and you can't stop me."
  11. "Because you thought you couldn't trust me. So I'll prove that you can!" She said, sounding extremely determined.
  12. She deflated. "So, there's nothing I can do, huh?" She said miserably, eyes filling with tears again. "Okay. I..." She looked back at her feet. "I guess I'll have to prove it to you over and over again." She said, a bit of stubbornness entering her voice.
  13. She just frowned. "Is... Is there anything I could do to prove that you can trust me? Please, just give me a chance." She said.
  14. She looked at him. "I'd rather my trust be broken than be unable to trust." She said softly. She looked back down at her shoes.
  15. She said nothing, and stared down at her shoes some more.
  16. "But I won't! I won't! I promise!" She said. She looked down at her shoes, and whispered "I still trust you."
  17. She glanced up. "But... But you were so nice." She said, voice breaking. "I don't understand. You weren't pretending. If you were, you would have acted like you wanted to be my friend from the beginning, so why? Was... Was I too annoying?" She legitimately didn't understand his motives.
  18. She nodded, clutching the sheep. "What did I do wrong?" She asked, voice muffled by the stuffed animal.
  19. "I... I'm sorry." She whispered, assuming she'd done something wrong. "I'll leave you alone, if you want." She pulled a sheep stuffed animal out of her bag, and buried her face in it.
  20. She didn't say anything. She wanted to, but her tongue felt heavy in her mouth. So she just stared sightlessly at the floor, tears streaming from her eyes.
  21. It vanished, and she could see that no one was dead, but she really was unable to process that.
