    "My papa died when I was 8, and my step mom decided it would be best if I lived with my mee-maw after I turned 11." She said. "Then my step mom disappeared. I wonder what happened to her..."

    "I didn't run away from home. Not really. I ran because my granny died, and I have heard really bad things about the foster system." She said, shrugging.

    Elsie, who was still walking around, walked up to Roy. "Hey, I just realized I never thanked you. I appreciate you drawing the cyclops' attention when you did. If you hadn't, I would be dead. So thank you." She beamed at him.

    "I think I'll do that." She said, nodding. She got up, and started pacing like a maniac.

    "Do you think we'll be able to get off this train soon? I don't know how much longer I can sit without going stir crazy."

    She nodded. "Alright, that makes sense." She said.

    "How do normal people not know?" She asked after a few minutes of silence.

    Elsie was so stunned, she just sat back, and silently tried to process this new information.

    Her jaw dropped. "We, a bunch of children and teenagers, are gonna steal from a god? Who's idea was that?" She sounded baffled.

    "Quick question, I know we're heading to LA, but why?" She asked. "Are you all running from something?" She asked.

    "I don't care how long it will take, but I will find a way to get you to trust me." She said.

    "I'm sorry. That must be hard." She said. "Your sure though that there is absolutely nothing I can do?"

    She opened her mouth, and then closed it. "Wait, really?"

    She let out an exasperated sigh. "That makes absolutely no sense." She stated. "Why can't you trust anyone?"

    "Okay, sure, but why can't you trust me? What about myself do I gotta fix to get you to trust me?" She asked.

    She visibly relaxed. "Oh. Good. But, what do you want me to do?" She asked, hoping this would help her figure out how to move forward.

    Elsie full on panicked. "I don't have to, I just assumed you wanted space. Uh, please don't get mad at me."

    "It's ok. I'll leave you alone for a while, if you want."

    Elsie hugged her legs, and tried not to cry.

    She stopped, and suddenly felt guilty. "Sorry." She whispered, sadly looking down at her shoes.
