Ladashwy looked at Eryn. "Oh. The weirdness started WAY before that..." She sighed.

Ladashwy winced. "Yeah. I think I know how he feels." She shuddered. "Today has been by far the strangest and most disturbing day of my life."

Ladashwy looked at him. "Are you okay?"

"Yep!" "Okay!" She grabbed her luggage and ran to the backyard. "Wow! Is that a pool?" She set down her bag, and opened it. "That pool is going to make this so much safer!" She looked toward Cassie. "Ready when you are!" She called. She grabbed the water bottle and looked to see how much more was in it. I'll show them Slatrification first!

"Okay. I'll call the police, and then sometime after that, I can show you what I can do." She dialed 911, and after a few seconds she started talking. "Hi. Um, I was on a plane, but it crashed. I managed to survive unscathed somehow, but my parents were in the plane, and are now dead." There is a pause, and then she started speaking again. "I am currently at 27 Lake Street." She paused again. "Ok. Thank you. Bye." She walked over to Cassie, and handed back the phone. "The man who I was talking to said they can probably get here in about 20 minutes. I can show you my skills whenever you want." She paused. "We'll want to go outside for that part. Unless you want sand all over the floor." She grinned again. "I am excited to jump onto your roof." She announced happily.

Oops. It looks like I forgot to actually create a character. I will play as Grace Brooks.

"Ok! Thanks again." Lapis then starts thinking out loud. "I wonder if him glowing is related to how I make white sand glow." She mused. She then turned to Cassie. "What did you call the magic? Investure?" She grinned. If he gets to show off, I should be able to as well. "Do you want to see what I can do? It seems like you know a lot about this magic stuff, and you might be able to learn more."

"What? You can glow? Why can't I glow?" She sounded annoyed. "Oh, and I'm Lapis. Wow. That feels way better."

"Yeah." She said it very cheerfully because she felt relieved that she didn't have to watch her words anymore. "Thank you." She added as an afterthought. She then turned to Cassie. "Is healing another magic power? You said you have magic too, right? What can you do?"

"Yes please."

Her face paled visibly. "Wait. That isn't what you were talking about?" She groaned. "I... um... you see... I can control sand. With my mind. But it has to be a special kind of sand. If I control it for too long, I could dehydrate, and possibly die. Getting to that point is what we call overmastery. I actually overmastered when the plane crashed. I... I was trying to save my parents. But there wasn't anything I could do. I just didn't have enough sand. Actually, when you overmaster, you are supposed to lose your powers. But mine... mine are coming back!"

SHE KNOWS ABOUT SAND MASTERY!!! Lapis let out a sigh of relief. "And here I thought I was going to reveal something on accident." She grinned. "So you're a Sand Master too? That's great! I thought I was the only one in the entire state."

"I'm Lapis." She took the water, and drank it. "Thank you!"

Fred and George walked past her without acknowledging she was there.

"I'm 11. Um, could I have a glass of water?"

Lapis blinked. "You need what?" She sat down feeling slightly confused. Well, at least my Sand Mastery is returning. If they DO end up trying to kidnap me, I can just blast them with sand!

Lapis went inside. "Yeah, I'm fine. I think I might have sprained my wrist, but that's it" She smiled. "Luckily, my bag had san... I mean air in it, and I didn't die." Phew. I almost told them about Sand Mastery. I'm glad I caught myself. Her smile faded. "Unfortunately," she said softly, "My parents were in that plane."

"So, robes next?" Said Fred, neither of the twins were looking outside.

"You are all strange." Said George. "Well, it beats listening to Percy." Said Fred. They laughed "I think he thinks we will forget he is a perfect if he doesn't keep reminding us." Said George.

Lapis looked up. "You wouldn't happen to know where the nearest police station is, would you? I kind of need to find one. You see, I was on a plane, but it crashed, and I am the only survivor. I was luckily also able to save my luggage, but I don't know what to do anymore, so I need to get to the police." She said that as quickly as possible, and was out of breath at the end of it.

The twins are getting more and more confused. "Novels? What are you all talking about." Said George.

I look at the new arrival with confusion. I have never been so grateful for a random stranger in my life.

"What is this rubbish about deity brains?" Said fred.

I gape at the man. "What?! Why?"
