  1. no lookie It's okay to look as long as you remember your characters and writing has to reflect as if you didn't know it
  2. "If you want me to fight either, or intervene with conflict that I don't have a stake in, you've severely underestimated my character." Ribbon warned.
  3. Is that really... She was confused, How would we...
  4. "Malevolence isn't going to go after Fog, probably." She sighed. "Rebus seemed like quite the delightful fellow when I talked to him. But being honest, I didn't really glean much from our interaction, besides that he's not quite the evil villain you think he is." She winced. "That'd be the title for Malevolence."
  5. That's good to hear. Ribbon responded, I'm sorry you didn't get more time to be a Narrator. I almost feel guilty that I get this chance and you don't now.
  6. Are you... Okay with being a Withergeist? Ribbon asked. "Rebus won't hurt us," Ribbon said flatly, "and Malevolence lost when he tried to fight us. They don't pose a current threat." "I want you to make a device that can make an entire world hide from an Author."
  7. You seem smoke-like, that's new. Ribbon said telepathically, What's Inkwell been up to? "I'm doing quite fine, thank you." It always bothered her that people would ask questions and pretend like there was more than one answer. "Although I suppose I should ask if you are alright, considering what I tried to do to your mind."
  8. Yes, tends to be worse when you don't have anything to do
  9. Ribbon pointedly waited. Ribbon didn't seem able to hear 9/10mm "My blade works quite well before it strikes." He grumbled. "Perhaps there is nothing you can offer me, Rebus, because your Antagonist status is slipping away from you. All that emotion and depth is holding you back. Being honest, I'm surprised you still have it." He paused for a second, and then asked, "How good are you at making devices?"
  10. "What do I want..." Desolation scratched his chin. "I have no need for false Narrator promises, or the powers of Narration. I already have a Plotblade that lets me see the future and protection for my people." The Guardian released his grip, his flames regathering to his face. He nodded. "I expect it to be delivered here, by page 4475." With a thunderclap, the Guardian and his Plotblade were gone in an instant. "I offer you a way out?" Desolation laughed. "It sounds like you have promises to break. You want me to break them for you, so you don't feel worse?" "How are you... going to bring them justice, exactly?"
  11. You have to be over 13 to be on the shard (generally all forums follow this rule) anyways uhhhh I haven't played in a while. I choose @TwinStorm to be nominated
  12. "You humor me, Narrator." Desolation said, "I think you have forgotten that a deal involves two parts. What are you ready to give up?" "You see it as a weakness." Magenta hissed like a snake. "You see it as a losing scenario." Center growled at Magenta, silencing him. He spoke soothingly. "I respect that you wish to aid our organization in other ways. But the reluctance to make a promise is dangerous." Green Fire flared up his arm and into his fingers, the ones holding Malevolence. They stopped just before reaching contact with Malevolence. He could be burnt out in seconds, reduced to a pile of ash. "No. I will not kill you now." The Guardian decided. "You have proved too valuable as a fighter to eliminate now." "But to waste this opportunity..." Magenta warned Center. "Yes, I agree. We should capitalize on this situation." Center said. "I will not force you to become a member of the Guardians of Plot. But I will place conditions on my mercy." Magenta's neck extended until his draconic snout was barely centimeters away from Malevolence's eyes. "Deliver us a Plotblade within the next 100 pages, or we will find you and finish what should've happened here." "That seems fair," Center agreed, "Doesn't it, Malevolence?"
  13. Considering it's in the Parallel space, it's not going to stick around for very long.
  14. "Just a small portion of it." Center said. Magenta hissed, "And you would be ready to fight at ANY point." "But not without good reason," Center soothed, "Attempts to claim a Plotblade is a good example of a situation where you may be needed."
  15. "Of course," Magenta said, "You'd also have to resign a part of your soul as a security deposit as part of the position." "But you'd be free to follow your own goals," Center added, "If you so wished to. You would simply be expected to fight on behalf of the Guardians of the Plot when needed."
  16. "That is not for me to decide. But you will most likely seek out your assigned Plotblade, obtain it, and guard it." Center explained.
  17. Ribbon looked up. "What is it?" Center silenced her with a glare.
  18. Desolation appeared next to him. "Make it quick." Is Atreides a narrator? "Of course. The remnants of the Plot, that being with a capital P, are of course, The Plotblades." The Guardian's Center said, as if it were common knowledge, "If you join us, you will become similar to myself and Magenta here, bound to a Plotblade forever to serve the Plot." His grip tightened a bit. He's not dead, he's just sleeping!
