    Er... yeah no that didn't happen. Here's a sort of summary of what actually occurred: It's fine if you're still sus of me, but it might be more accurate to say that it's gut from D1 stuff : P Edit: oh yeah, and I guess it's worth pointing out that there was no immediate whiplash from you being sus of me or anything; that was me going back over the events of the Day like... a good solid 24 hours later and noticing some weird stuff about your suspicion of me. Namely, you seemed to be inventing reasons to be suspicious of me every time one of your reasons is debunked. So like, at first, you were fine with me being suspicious of Araris (which, uh, you had better have been because you were too) but thought my tone was sus. Once someone else confirmed that my tone was pretty normal, you decided to vote me anyway, even though your only stated reason for voting me had been contradicted. Voting on gut is fine, especially D1, and I suppose that's what you said you were doing... but still, you've continued to be sus of me and have listed other (also untrue) reasons for it rather than just calling it gut, which as far as I can tell is what it is. Also what exactly about Dannex's activity level is sus? And if you're clearing Az for not doing something his team would have told him he could do (posting at Night), then how come you're not clearing Vonn for the same? (in their case it was action-scanning, not Night-posting, but the point is the same).

    Yeah, I actually asked about that, because I also got a failed message when I scanned your PMs with Illwei. Turns out that just means those people didn't PM that turn : P

    Yeah, that vote did seem a little weird to me too : P totally pointless, so it seemed more like avoiding a main train or intentionally projecting indecision than anything. Whether that could be a village move, idk, but I think those are usually elim-ish tells?

    I think the piling on at the end mostly happened because Ash claimed with 10 minutes left in the cycle, so there wasn't much recourse except to vote one of the other main targets. And I, for one, didn't want to vote Illwei : P

    @vonnegut personally I'm inclined to trust Ash because of that that last-minute claim. He knew he was the main exe target a half-hour before the end of the cycle so he had some time to construct a counterargument/train (or wait for his teammates to do it for him), and instead he stayed silent and then claimed. Which seems like a last-ditch villager attempt to me, I guess. If an e!Ash wanted to save himself by claiming, he would have done it right when he knew he was in danger, not at the very end of the cycle when people might not have seen it and acted accordingly. A villager, though, has to worry about being killed for an important role, so v!Ash would wait until the last minute to make sure that the claim is really necessary. Or assuming Ash is telling the truth about being Silence at all, anyway. Which. idk. Now that I'm thinking about it, it's a rather terminal gambit for an elim to use... and since it was the only major intervention we saw, Ash's team would have to be pretty inactive for him to be elim... and I mostly trust Vonne to tell the truth about their scan, assuming they don't go insane... mmm idk I feel like my scan would be more useful elsewhere. So I'll ask Ash who I should scan this cycle, instead of scanning him.

    Would you accept the reason of "keeping Danforth from messing with the outcome"? I assume you're using the royal we in this scenario, since A. you can't vote, and B. when you thought you could, you voted Szeth?

    I mean... I could respond if you want to but basically everything you said just now makes sense to me and I don't really have anything to add or disagree with, so... it would basically just be me quoting a thing you said and then being like "yup" and then quoting another thing you said and then being like "that too" and so on. Though you still haven't said whether you'll vote Ash with me ;-;

    @Illwei hey how did I not merit even a single mention in that post smh Also, this is giving me deja vu: Araris/Books = e/e, Araris/Ash = e/e, but Araris/Books makes most sense was literally my thought process late-game in LG75 oof

    Why would anyone need to out Night Killers anonymously? villagers can become more trusted by doing it publicly, and it's not like it puts us at unnecessary risk because everyone can action scan. I suppose the point about N1 potshots and the halved failure rate is fair, but tbh I still think it's a rather slim thing to go off of--like, maybe Gears is the Scribe and maybe killing the Scribe is a little bit good for us, so we should kill Gears? Idk, I'd think it would more be because Gears is Gears than because somebody possibly thought Gears was a Scribe.

    On other sites, people can't talk at Night (I know, weird, right?) so I can see it happening. But. Regardless of Az's alignment, I'd have expected Illwei to warn him about that... hmmm maybe this makes me think Illwei is weird this game (not really, I still mostly think she's vil). Illwei recently got a job, which is (I would guess) why she's been less active this game. And banter/direct-responses-to-other-things are like, Illwei's main form of playing. Hey wait Dannex she was less active last game too! Why are you sussing her for it? yeahhhh that's probably because there was like a week where there were no SE games going on, and I had to fill that enormous hole in my life somehow, so I got myself addicted to binge-watching Netflix shows. And. Haven't stopped now that this game has started. (I just finished The Queen's Gambit) Hmmm you're very ambivalent about the two people who've been the biggest focus so far this game (Jondesu and Szeth). *tinfoils Dannex/Szeth/Jondesu team* *stops because that's dumb and paranoid* Seconded! But then, that's how I felt about Araris last game too and that turned out great smh I'm just glad I'm not the only one who still thinks he's off : P We're all kinda thinking Vonne's vil at this point because (and this is confirmed by a scan from Archer) they didn't submit an action scan during the Night because they didn't realize they could. This. Doesn't make things any less spread out. Araris. smh Why would the elims want to kill a Scribe anyway? is my question. idk, I guess it's an easier kill 'cause someone who has a role is maybe less likely to have Silver Bones or something, but it's not like Scribes are really that much more useful to the village than someone who has no role and has a normal item. Y'know, 'cause there are useful common actions in this game. I'd imagine the elims would target people with roles/items that indicate village-ness, but Scribe doesn't. I guess it didn't really occur to me that they'd killed him for his role--assuming they'd guessed/known he had it in the first place--until other people brought it up. @Ashbringer this post is why (at least in my case). I don't want to cause a tie, but I don't think Illwei's elim and I don't think there's any real reason to kill her here, so Jondesu. Illwei seems normal to me, personally, and if she's been a little inactive I'm pretty sure it's just 'cause she's gotten busier irl. So yeah. I'm not super sure about Jondesu either, but... at least they've actually done stuff that's sus. Edit: (Ash)

My Jondesu vote was partly because Mat had some fair points about them, but also partly because I wanted something to happen... which it did... sort of? But not really. Their response isn't making me feel better about them, but I'm also still suspicious of Szeth and kinda wanna move my vote back to them, now that someone else is voting them too... and then I have this nagging feeling in the back of my head that voting either of them would be wrong, which I think is coming from the fact that as far as I can tell, the vast majority of the resistance to voting them has come from them, and no one else, so it feels like they don't have a team backing them up. Hmmm maybe writing down who I think is village will help. Vonne and Azmine both vil-slipped this turn, and I don't really feel like indulging my paranoid side and continuing to suspect them atm. Archer and Illwei have both felt village in-thread and, in Archer's case, in PMs. I don't really think I can see either of them being elim right now. Matrim... idk, we seem to be agreeing on a lot? And as Araris (I think it was Araris?) said, Mat at least appears to be genuinely looking for elims. So... I guess I think he's village too. So that leaves Szeth, Dannex, Jondesu, Ash, Araris, Pizza, and Books. This is where it gets hard, ig. Books and Pizza have said basically nothing, and I don't want another CC, since the last one basically gave us no info. Ash... has been saying a lot but literally none of it has stuck in my brain, which maybe is just me being tired and distracted by irl stuff but I don't think that's normal with v!Ash? Hmmm. Ash is a Hmmm. Dannex is actually in the same boat as Ash, except that I don't think Dannex has said nearly as much... honestly voting Dannex feels like CCing too. Jondesu and Szeth have both done vaguely sus things imo (as explained by Mat and myself, respectively), so I'm most inclined to vote one of them, but like I said before, it feels like the vast majority of the resistance to those arguments has come from the people being attacked. Which I guess is the whole reason I'm doing this in the first place, instead of just voting one of them. And then Araris felt off D1 and I was sus of him and I guess I haven't really stopped but I also don't want a repeat of LG75, so I'm hesitant to vote him unless and until I have more reason than tone. I... yeah y'know what, Ash (Jondesu). I'd give reasoning if I really had any, but I guess it's just that so far Ash's efforts have felt kinda lackluster, and he's been posting a lot but I don't remember much of any of what he's said (I should definitely go back and reread at some point, but apparently I lack the motivation rn).

    Okay I'm posting this as soon as someone else posts: We are more than 21 hours into this Day and this is what the VC looks like: Jondesu (1): Matrim Quinn (1): Szeth Szeth (1): Quinn Matrim (1): Jondesu C'mon, you guys, there are 13 of us left and none of the active players have died (unless you count Gears, ig). We should have more than four votes and two pages of discussion by now smhhhh Purely in the interest of maybe making something actually happen, Jondesu (Szeth). Basically I'm just sheeping Mat on this one : P Now discuss, please. PLEASE. You can even vote me if you want, I just want some kind of mildly productive conversation to happen : P ...is this one of those games that's being played entirely in PMs so I'm mostly missing it 'cause I only have 3 PMs and two of them are totally dead? Oh, and another thing: @Azmine_king Illwei didn't tell you that you can talk at Night?

    I don't know about worrying that not all those roles exist, especially since Mat just did that last LG, but I have some other concerns: What if an elim who's fairly trusted claims to have a crossbow? Presumably, we wouldn't ask for claims before exe-lo, which means they don't even need to prove they have one, because by the time they could prove it, we'd have lost. And for all we know, there are two crossbows out there, so if two people claim crossbow, who's to say they're not both telling the truth? The same exact problem exists for the Silence as well. And what if the elims actually do have a Silence? I mean, everyone's been saying they don't think that's the case, but it's not like it's normal for elims to have a chance of randomly dying, and it's not abnormal for elims to have a protection role, so now that I'm thinking about it, I guess I don't see why they couldn't have a Silence. Professor Dyer, at least, is probably a safe bet, since there's only one of him. An elim claiming Dyer would immediately prompt a counterclaim from the real Dyer, assuming that person hadn't already claimed, which would narrow the field down to two people, one of whom is elim. That would be a pretty risky game for the elims to play, I think, so I doubt they'd do that. But I'm not sure how comfortable I am using crossbow and Silence claims to clear people, at least not unless they have enough time to prove them first.

    Hey, really terrible plan: the person with the crossbow coordinates with a Silence to figure out who they think Danforth is, then attacks that person while the Silence saves them. If the person doesn't go insane, they must be Danforth! don't listen to me there are so many reasons that plan doesn't make sense

    Okay well in case it wasn't obvious from my post last turn, I'm putting my vote on Szeth, though after the stuff that Mat has pointed out which I myself didn't read very carefully I'm a bit wary of of Jon too. And @Illwei I don't think it's just you, Mat's post felt vil to me as well.

    The people who voiced concerns, in order, were Ash, Dannex, Mat, Az, kind-of-Archer (also gave village points to Az for expressing suspicion), Illwei, and myself.
