  1. You were elim in LG74. I'm pretty sure any interactions you had with Illwei in that game would only be comparable to interactions here if you were both elim here : P Since when is Archer an alternative to Dannex this cycle? >> I mean, the kill last night makes me think of either you or Archer (Archer because he specifically brought up that he'd be someone who'd do that, when I actually wouldn't think of him for it at all).
  2. I mean, not exactly XD from my POV as elim, Dannex was widely misread and later misexed because I was actively driving the debate to center on him (rather than on my teammate, Lotus, who'd been the actual C1 exe target and had survived). What's funny is that the controversy around him continued after I got exed and flipped elim, even though I'd been pushing so hard for his death xD But, that aside, the mechanics up to the actual end of the cycle were basically the same in QF50. Yeah, we didn't feel as urgent a need to try to save Lotus, but there also wasn't really much we could do to save her either (without exposing ourselves; I could have voted Dannex but it woulda looked weird given my earlier insistence that it didn't make sense to do so). I mean, the misexe of any one person in this game at this moment will tell us essentially nothing. So unless you're saying you already know it'll be a misexe... Edit: ninja'd by @Elandera and I have to say I 100% agree with you if Dannex flips elim : P I'd been reading Archer village last cycle but the defense is... it just feels off. Which obviously doesn't mean much if Dannex is village, but if he flips elim I will probably be voting Archer next cycle
  3. As it happens, I have a VC from right before she voted: Illwei (1): Archer Archer (3): Araris, Striker, Quinn Randby (1): TJ Whysper (1): Illwei Tani (1): Elan Araris (1): Tani You're correct that it was Archer who was in the lead. Additionally, I'll note that after that, things progressed with Forge voting Illwei, which put her one behind Archer, and then Illwei voting you in self-pres (more or less). The next two votes on you were Tani (for no stated reason) and myself (because at that point I thought Illwei was village). So, in essence, Whysper's vote allowed you to become a scapegoat : P I don't know that I agree that Whysper's vote itself was suspicious, though; I doubt she actually meant it to become a leading exe train, and it certainly seemed at the time like it wouldn't do so. I can definitely relate to putting a vote on someone who's a little bit suspicious but not necessarily exe worthy, to see how they react more than anything which is what I did with Illwei... that turned out great
  4. Seconding Striker here (again...) I've been trying for a little while now to come up with a concise way to respond to this, and basically what I've come up with is: You frame this at the beginning as an argument for why we shouldn't infokill Dannex, but really it sounds more to me like you're arguing that no elim is ever going to come close to being exed on D1, which I can say from first-hand experience is not the case (Aman in MR46, Lotus in QF50, and myself in AG7 all come to mind). The fact is, elim teams aren't perfect, and the village has some agency of its own that the elims just don't control. That doesn't mean that Dannex is elim, but it means we can't rule out the possibility. Or at least, we can't rule it out based on the idea that the elims wouldn't have let him get so close to dying. The elims don't control everything, after all. As to this, everyone's suspicions are biased by one thing or another. Whatever yours are, the most useful thing village!you can do in this situation is share them as specifically as possible so that we have that--and everyone else's reactions to it--to work from next cycle. (future me here: ninja'd by Dannex sharing his trusts, but I'd still like to hear more specifically who you're sus of) Edit: Also wait @Matrim's Dice where did Araris vote TJ?
  5. Assassin kill is one-time, not every cycle like in the LG, so I doubt they intended to submit a kill last Night. Other things: The TUO kill: my own personal thing to add to this is that if Araris is elim, I could definitely see him suggesting low-info, low-activity kills but that in and of itself isn't a reason to kill Araris, so eh. Not very useful. Having stepped back and thought about it a bit, the situation with Araris/Dannex/Ash/Elan (I know no one's talking about Elan but I thought her vote was just as weird as Araris's so I'm including her too) is a bit more complex than you guys are making it seem. If we exe Dannex and he flips elim, then obviously that makes things look bad for Araris and Elan, and good for Ash. If Dannex flips village, that's NAI on Ash, as we've already said. But, uh... it doesn't... make Araris and Elan... look good either? I'm not entirely sure why people seem to think it does. If Dannex is vil, then it was a v/v tie and I could totally see elims voting one way or another to look like they care which person dies (as a villager might but an elim would not). (Edit: so basically Dannex flipping village says nothing about the others) Similarly, if we exe Araris first and he flips elim, that implicates Dannex, but if we exe Araris and he flips vil, that doesn't actually say anything about Dannex at all. Vil!Araris being more sus of Illwei than of Dannex doesn't mean that Dannex isn't elim. Araris being village has no bearing on anyone else's alignment actually. Same goes for Elan: if Elan's elim, I'd be more sus of Dannex, but if she's vil then... that doesn't tell us anything about Dannex at all (or about Ash, or about Araris). Also, a note on someone else: Striker. I could see elim!Striker voting on elim!Dannex and then switching last-minute with the knowledge that a vote would be manipped off of Dannex, thus saving him. I'm not sure what the purpose of doing something like that would be, but just looking at votes, Striker's vote did actually save Dannex. Striker's not by any means my primary suspect if Dannex flips elim, but I'm keeping that in mind. Also, Dannex (Araris) because based on the above, it makes more sense to exe Dannex first I think. Nobody's vil flip will give us info on anyone else, but Dannex's elim flip will give info on multiple people, whereas Araris flipping elim only gives info on Dannex.
  6. Ash could have created a tie between Illwei and Dannex and he didn't. Instead he made the gap between them wider. If Dannex is elim, that suggests that Ash is village because Ash had a chance to save Dannex (especially if the elims have vote-manip) and he chose not to. If Dannex flips vil, it... really doesn't tell us anything about Ash.
  7. TUO did not talk much, as a matter of fact. They had a total of nine mentions in my notes doc, and all of them were from instantaneous VCs where Illwei had a vote on them. (Illwei, on the other hand, had 65 mentions at the end of D1). TUO never voted either, actually. So yeah, low info kill.
  8. Of all the people in this game, you had to pick Gears xD I'd feel like this was intentional if it weren't for A. the order of the player list (edit: wait Gears is nowhere near me on the player list! that was the MR player list I was thinking of XD how dare you ask me my opinion on Gears???) and B. the fact that you weren't around for Mat's last game. In answer to your actual question, he seems normal to me. High-effort play, but that's normal for him. I'm reading him slight village right now I think but tbh I never have any idea how to read Gears. why do I immediately see this as an elim playing an IKYK game
  9. Okay, so I sat down and worked out some of the issues/complexities with my Twinborn game. It's still complicated and (to my mind) somewhat inelegant or unwieldy or... idk but this isn't gonna be the final version I don't think https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wy-b3IHJLCU3_RFTKPimVPjgG5bpeijylQsDvIShJAc/edit?usp=sharing Yes, the abilities for each metal are the same whether you're a Misting or a Ferring of that metal. Having different abilities for each meant wayyyy too many kinds of abilities, so I sacrificed some accuracy in favor of workability. Most of the abilities are derived from Allomantic powers, some from Ferric powers, and some sort of fit both? but mostly it's one or the other.
  10. Given that I'm sus of them for precisely that reason, it's definitely not just you lol Wait, I did? The only opinion I recall having of you was that you were sus and worth sticking a vote on for a while (a stance which I may have adopted from Striker. Actually, Striker and I are agreeing a lot this game: our gut on Books and Dannex, original opinion of you, opinion on ties, reversal of opinion on you based on that long post just now, a lot of which both of us seem to agree with, Araris + Elan's votes on Illwei being sus, etc... What is with that? xD).
