These last two months have been some of the hardest two months of my life (and probably for different reasons you think). With one of my sisters and my dad becoming disabled, my mom stressing over saving our school, and accepting the fact that at the end of the summer, every last one of my friends will have officially willingly chosen to leave me, things have been kinda rough. But this is not the bad news thread, but the good news thread, and just this last week, a couple things went right for a change, and right you guys are some of the only people who have the free time to listen. So yeah, here's some stuff: 1. I got hired at Chick-fil-a 2. I am now the captain of the Speech team 3. One of my sisters delivered a beautiful little girl safely in a pandemic hotspot Not to mention that right before everything went crazy, I discovered Brandon Sanderson, and just recently I discovered a wonderful online community with wonderful welcoming people (I will elaborate further in the compliments thread in just a second) So, yeah, life is kind of cool this week.

But The Fox gets ahead of her and stands in front of the door. "Look," she says lowering her voice to talk with Vapor without the prying ears of others. "You may leave this sleepover if you want, however first, please hear me out. The reason I initially said there is no escape is not because I won't let you leave this party, but simply because there will never be escape from people who seem different from you. Many people make the mistake of distancing themselves from people who appear different, without ever taking the time to consider their person. Preferences do not define a person, they are fleeting and constantly evolving. Instead of dwelling on the differences, focus on the similarities. "I personally hate that feeling of restriction and vulnerability in dresses. Like I can't bend over, run, or fight if I need to. I eventually was able to find dresses to wear that were easy to move in, and were comfy. If you think about it, my preference against dresses root from my values. I value feeling safe and in control over almost everything else, therefore when I wear low cut or tight dresses, it makes me feel vulnerable, and I hate it. I was able to match my values with their preferences, finding common ground, and therefore making a connection with all people who like dresses (otherwise I would just wear hiking pants all the time). What do you value, how does it effect your preferences, and how can you find common ground? You don't have to tell me your values, just think about how your values can match at least some of their preferences. Assuming you don't just leave when I finish talking, answer me this, what don't you like about dresses?"

The Fox sees movement out of the corner of her eye (foxes are very wary of movement), and tackles Vapor as she tries to get away. "No one escapes..." The Fox whispers into Vapor's ear before righting herself. "Plus, I brought board games!" The Fox stood up and asked in a loud voice "who's up for some Hanabi?"

"What do you think about the plot to take down the guilds?"

"Ugh, fine." The Fox leaps onto the table, and deftly runs over, snatches up the bowl of devanshire cream, and runs back (foxes are nimble). As she settles back into her seat and begins to pile the devanshire cream onto her scone, The Fox begins to babble about the Alleyverse, "Have you guys heard of that new character on Alleyverse, what's her name, The Shadow?"

"One of my brothers has that philosophy. Of course now he's getting married to the second person he's dated, so...." The Fox finishes her fourth scone and reaches for another. "Could you hand me some more of that devanshire cream, Queenie, the bowl on this side of the table is all out."

The Fox is almost done with arranging everything and brewing the different types of teas: Raspberry, Honeysuckle Wildberry, A Special 'Zuko' blend (chocolate, vanilla, and passionfruit). She plops down, gets some scones, sandwiches, devanshire cream, and cookies, and begins to ravenously consume them. She looks up as Queenie asks for any tea to spill. "Well...." The Fox says with her mouth full of scone. "What kind of tea should we spill? Stuff from around the Shard, Alleyverse, secret crushes?" Inside, the Fox cringes, but no one needs to know what the Fox feels inside.

The Fox realizes the thing that this party needs most, some hot tea! She dashes out the door to grab some things from her house (foxes are very fast), and returns with a box of mason jars filled with loose leaf tea, some tea strainers, and a lot of glass tea dishes, as well as table cloths, scones, jam, Devanshire Cream, tea cookies, small sandwiches, a pile of good books, and lots of board games. Mwahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahaha! This is my domain, I have the power now! The Fox thinks as she places the boxes on the ground. She pulls out a table cloth, and places it on a large table. Then she begins arranging the items with precision.

Oh yes, I love tea! I will help. hehehehehe.....

I don't know, I guess I always thought girls were supposed to be the ones talking about boys and all that stuff. I guess most of the people talking about relationships on here are girls anyway, so.... I guess it would make sense that the girls immediately infiltrated the boys thread to lecture* to them about how they should treat girls... *There's actually some really good advice on here

The Fox looks around at all the girls squealing and screaming (in joy or pain, she cannot tell). As long as she can play a part, she's ok with dressing up, so she walks directly to the back of the room where she finds a black hoodie with orange pointed ears, and black hiking pants and puts them on quickly. She looks around to see if there's a fox's tail somewhere...

I just love how this thread has turned into all about relationship advice, and the girls thread has turned into people forcing makeup onto each other.

The Shadow let her arms drop as a man asked her if he could help her, but the tension in her arms was still there, ready to dart into her jacket. She wished that she had sewn that extra pocket under her wrist so that she could let a knife drop into her hand without him seeing, but she banished the thought. She was fairly certain that this man was no civilian offering his help to a lost young woman, so The Shadow straightened, met the strange man's eyes, and announced is a confident voice, the tone a bit higher than normal, "My name is Arlene Rivera, and I am here to join the Ghostbloods. I assume you're one of them?" Edit: @Sorana

Thanks! That's good to know, (about Ene), I wasn't sure who ran TUBA, so I just tagged all of the members who appeared to be responding. I do have one question that's kind of related, but not really. I'm fairly new to Alleyverse, but I know TUBA was originally created to counter Dark Alley. I read about them on the wiki, and I think it said somewhere that the Dark Alley no longer exists, but people still talk about it from time to time. So... is it still a thing?

I too love normal watches, and I would have a tan line if I tanned at all... I literally only take off my watch for showers and sports. What are some of your favorite butler characters? One of my favorites is Alfred from Batman. (to be honest I like Alfred from The Animated Batman better than the one from the live action films)
