  1. "Yes, sir. We will try this now." *studio assistant* "Aight, here we go." sppppphhhhhhhhhhh (liquid pouring on dirt) Grawara, GRAWARAEAAAAAAA!!!! GRAAAW- ble-eh-hee-heh! *studio assistant* "A llama???" BLEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!!! *studio assistant* "EEP! Still dangerous!!! Here, take that!!" fump (sound of charm hitting a llama, I can't think of a better word) BEHEHEHEHEHE! Blehehehehe. ble-hehehe...... "Congratulations! You're plan worked! Unfortunately, I believe you may have left some extract of llama in that resurrection potion. Our next patient is a woman who has been turned into a llama. Do we have any callers?"
  2. "Welcome to the show, yes you may. What solution do you propose?"
  3. "May I ask who's calling?"
  4. Fox's head snapped up when she heard her name. Shoving her knife away, she rushed over to Nath. "Yes, Nath? What can I do?"
  5. "Obviously. We will try this now." *sad funeral music* *studio assistant* "Careful, careful, alright." "Well? Was something supposed to happen?" "I'm sorry, but your plan did not work. We still have a woman who is dead, and she is now buried."
  6. Fox watched as Nath, Queen, and the other guy... Fadran, spoke in hushed tones. Fox could feel Nath's agony from where she was standing. What on earth was happening over there? Secrets... secrets were happening. Fox didn't like secrets, unless they were hers. She felt out of control when she didn't know what was going on. Fox sighed, and turned away from the group. They obviously didn't want her help. She pulled out the knife Nath had dropped. It was still covered in blood. Fox began cleaning it with a cloth she had stashed away in a pocket. She was glad she had... borrowed hopefully a bit of Nath's pain. And on the plus side, it was totally a cool dagger. She would return it. ...in time. Fox placed the newly cleaned knife into one of her boot sheaths. It would be safest there. She sighed, and sat down on a rock, glancing back at Nath to make sure he wasn't over-exerting himself or anything. She pulled the only other knife out that she had, it looked so plain after handling Nath's. Fox twirled the knife between her fingers, allowing the distraction to relax her.
  7. Fox glanced at the others, before hesitantly saying, "Yes, Nath, it will be hard, but I will trust them if you do."
  8. Yes.... basically. I mostly agree with this. If you're unsure about how you feel regarding someone, give it time. I suggest that you get to know them a bit more before jumping into anything. Treat them like a normal friend, and get to know them as a friend, before getting to know them romantically. Give yourself time to think about how you feel, and let yourself adapt as you get to know them. 1. Evaluate their knowledge - ask yourself this: how well do you know this person, and are you compatible? 2. Evaluate their future - ask yourself things like this: are you in position that this relationship could last beyond high school? Will a long distance relationship work? That kind of thing 3. Evaluate their values - ask things like this: are you willing to risk losing this friendship to try to make it something more? Would you value your relationship over your career? These things can help people to think through their feelings about each other. From here on out, they can make a decision about how to continue .
  9. Hehehehehehehe Time for relationship advice with Scarletfox! I have watched from afar from time to time on here, but have generally tried to say out of the advice giving when it comes to relationships, because the last time I opened my mouth on the subject (outside of family), I got yelled at. Anyway, please don't yell at me. I will go broad to specific with my beliefs. When it comes to dating, the first thing you need to do is ask yourself, why? This initial philosophy is something you need to specify when you look at relationships. I personally believe that dating is but a segway to marriage. Whenever you date, or commit to a relationship, it should be with the means of getting married some day. There are a lot of different interpretations of this, including (but not limited to): First, you could only date those who you've stalked vetted researched you already know, so that you are aware of what you're getting into. Second, you could only date those with the intentions of marrying them (but this is bordering on courting, which I think is ok, but not the only way). Third, you date anyone and everyone who asks you out, at least at first, so that you can compare and contrast people, and figure out what type of people you like, and what attributes you'd like to find in the person you spend the rest of your life with. These different interpretations work for different people. Everyone has a slightly different way that works for them. I think that when you are in middle and high school, dating is not a wise choice, simply because it tends to add unnecessary drama and heartbreak to an already emotionally complicated life. However, I think that exposure to healthy relationships is important, whether it be your parents, or your siblings, or even your friends. I have it easy; because I have lots of older siblings, I have had a front row seat at watching relationships succeed and fail. Two of my siblings are married, one is engaged, one is heartbroken from a divorce, one is heartbroken from a break-up, and one is seriously depressed because she's still single. Then there's me, who's never actually been in a relationship, yet am still the family relationship advisor that everyone comes to. Being the third-wheel can be uncomfortable, however it is a vital experience to understanding conflict-management in relationships. When it comes to having people liking you, but they haven't said anything about it, I would say generally treat them exactly the same as you would treat them if they were a normal friend. Don't make it awkward or obvious that you're catching on, because that will make it difficult for them to think about how they feel. You want to make them comfortable enough to share their feelings, but don't lead them on as if you like them, if you don't actually like them. Let them talk to you when they're ready, on their terms, unless you are confident that you like them. If you like them, and you want a relationship to evolve beyond that of friendship, let them know. Be honest with how you feel. But know this, if excelerating the relationship is discussed between friends, it will eternally change the relationship. Whether for the better or the worse, it will be different. This could mean the friendship is ruined, the relationship is good and lasts, things are slightly more awkward, or things are slightly less awkward. It all depends on how you react toward each other.
  10. "I-I don't know which one is Queen. I think that-" Wait, what was that? On the ground. In half a second, the knife was in on of Fox's pockets. That knife, it was what made Nath so angry. It was what caused him to burn down the forest. That was the source of Nath's pain, but Fox would never let it hurt Nath again. She was skilled enough a thief that it was most likely that no one had seen it. "Queen!" Fox yelled, at the general public, "Nath needs you!" @DramaQueen
  11. Fox heard someone speaking to her in her mind again, Fox, are you alright? It asked. Nath! She immediately looked at Nath to see his eyes fluttering open. Darn-it! Fox never should have left his side! She dashed over to hear what he was saying, but she missed it. "Nath, I'm ok. I'm doing great. We found the... others. Are you okay? How do you feel?"
  12. I often find myself with a story or anecdote that I want need to tell someone, but no one will take the time to listen. So I end up posting it randomly on whatever thread I happen to be on at the time. I finally decided that a thread dedicated to this kind of story-telling is long overdue. If something happy, sad, funny, serious, or whatever happens to you, and you want to tell someone, this is the place to do it! Just make sure that whatever it is is appropriate and inside the Shard guidlines. I will start off with something that happened to me this morning: My life has been rather crazy for the last few months, at least comparatively. I have finally been getting into the groove of spontaneousness the last few weeks, so when the workers came in to tear down our kitchen, I wasn't surprised. When a mountain lion wandered into our town and ate half our chickens, I wasn't surprised. And this morning, when, well, I won't spoil it for you, but when it happened, I wasn't surprised. I accidentally slept past my alarm this morning, so was very frustrated with myself. I leaned over and grabbed my brush off my bed-table, and began brushing my hair vigorously and angrily as I walked to the kitchen. The way my house is laid out, is that my room is at the end of hall, through the hall door is the living room, then the dining room, then the kitchen. So I opened the hall-door to the living room, and I noticed three things. The first thing was my mom screeching "THERE IT GOES!!!" and pointing at something gray streaking toward me. The second thing I noticed is that all of the furniture in the living room was upturned and moved. The third thing I noticed was that that gray thing streaking toward me was a Texas rat. It was about the size of a disposable water-bottle, so not the biggest I've seen. I took a step the left, allowing it to scurry through the hall and into my room. I never stopped brushing my hair, made my way around the living room maze, and got myself some rice crispies. As I took a bite, I saw my mother enter the kitchen. "So," I said before pausing to take another bite, "rats?"
  13. "Well, I'm not actually sure how it can help us... but he said something about making someone suffer. Someone named... Rish?"
  14. "I said I just had a vision about Nath! I don't know, but I think it might help us to help him." Fox said, a little frustrated.
  15. *leaves to do homework* *then wins*
  16. *takes the pancake and swallows in one bite* *smiles and gives a thumbs up*
  17. *watches Nath munch on a pancake with jealousy*
  18. "Welcome to the show, hi this is Connie! What solution do you propose?"
  19. Fox, she had to... stay awake... for Nath.... Her eyes drifted shut, and Fox slumped to ground, unable to keep herself awake for any longer. Fox was with her brother again, they were under a bridge, and her brother was teaching her how to build a fire. "You see, sometimes, you want to dig a little groove in the dirt so that the sticks don't fall over when you're building the tepee." He commented as the Fox's whole masterpiece collapsed again. "Agh! Why can't we just light some sticks on fire!? Isn't that how fire works??" Her sister laughed softly. "Oh little fox, you make me laugh." The Fox smiled, her plan had worked. Her sister leaned over and began re-building the tepee. "The reason we need to build this before lighting the fire is because the bigger sticks won't catch unless the fire is a certain heat. That heat won't be reached immediately, it needs to be grown like a flower. First, we light the newspaper, once the fire is hot enough to catch on the little sticks, it does. Once the fire on the little sticks is hot enough to catch on the big sticks, it does, like this." She took out the match, and struck the fire. In a few minutes, there was a blazing fire going. "You, are a fire master." The Fox said, smiling and looking at her.... wait, hadn't she just seen her sister? She didn't have a sister! Fox must have been seeing things. Fox looked at her brother, smiling. Fox's vision changed. Now she and her brother were rushing through a dark alley, the cops must be right behind them. Fox was terrified. She ruined the whole darn operation by getting distracted by that cheesecake! Her brother was pulling her along, "Fox, in here." They dashed through a door into the kitchen of a fancy restaurant. One of the chefs came up and started gibbering to them in Spanish, but Fox and her brother ignored him. They ran for the walk in freezer, and dashed inside. As the door closed, they could hear someone locking the handle in place. Perfect. Now it would look like they were trapped to the outside. But the genius of the plan didn't matter to Fox, for tears wet her cheek as she thought back to the stupid thing she had done. "Don't worry about it, little fox." Her brother commented while pulling boxes off the shelf with ease but haste. "Everyone messes up sometimes. When you hit a bump on the road, you do not chop off your foot." He heaved the duffle on the now clear shelf. "You avoid the bump in the road the next time you come around. Don't put too much weight on a silly mistake." He said as he pushed the Fox up next onto the shelf. Jumping up beside her on the shelf, her brother began to fiddle with a strange indentation on the wall, before a little trapdoor opened up. He shoved the duffle through into the tunnel, and then Fox started to crawl through next while her brother filled the shelf back up with boxes to cover the door. "Plus," he called after her, "Look on the upside, we now have a one thousand dollar cheesecake. I wonder how it'll taste." The scene changed again, and Fox found herself sitting on a skyscraper with her brother, their legs hanging over the side. She was absolutely mortified by being up so high, but hopefully this would help her get over her fear. Her brother placed a hand on her shoulder, causing her to yelp. "You're scaring me!" "Don't worry, little fox, do you really think I'd push you over the edge? I'm just steadying you." Fox stared at the road and the cars below and gulped, before standing up, and scurrying away from the edge. Her brother looked back, and laughed. "Come now, little fox, it isn't all that bad." He stood and came to join Fox. He leaned down, and grabbed his water bottle, taking a swig. As he did that, Fox went over to their bags to grab their lunch. She was hungry. Her thoughts were interrupted by a roll of thunder above. She looked up to see dark clouds gathering. This reminded her of something... oh no. She started running back to her brother, although she wasn't moving at all. She was running, but it was if she were on a treadmill. "Brother run, it isn't safe!" Her brother cocked her head in confusion. "What do you mean?" But Nathrangking had already materialized behind him, and was advancing with his jeweled knife. There were two thumps. Fox knew what would follow. Nathrangking looked up to say, you can come out now little fox, but when his lips parted, something else came out. "Still hiding Rish? You didn't send another child to threaten me did you?" He whispered. "What?" Fox asked. "I'm not Rish." Nath paused for a moment, before continuing. "If you had killed me alone I would have accepted this knowing that your end would soon follow. However, you took her from me and for that you will suffer." Fox shivered. Nath had finally come to his senses, he was going to track her down and make her suffer. He stopped talking for a moment. "Is it? I know that the council does not know what you have done. Even if they never find out now that I have no intention of letting you go free. When I survive I am coming for you. There will be nowhere that you can hide. I will slay your progeny before your eyes. Your Mindscapes and realms will be burned to the ground. I will leave your temples as dust beneath my feet. Your worship will be forgotten. Then I shall decide whether I will do you the mercy of handing you over to them for judgement. Go now and tremble before what you have unleashed." Fox cocked her head. He seemed to be talking to someone else, not her, although his eyes were locked on to hers. He paused again. "You try and assure yourself that you are safe. You know what you cannot do Rishmaveta. Leave me and know this day that your end will come soon." Then, Nath vanished. Gone. Like always. Fox knew she should go and mourn her brother, but she was still a bit fazed by what had just happened. Were those words for her, or for someone else? He mentioned someone's name at the beginning, Rish? Well. At this point, Fox knew she was dreaming. Nath hadn't really killed her brother. He had told her so, at least, and Fox thought that she believed him. That last part though, what was it? It felt somehow more.... vivid than the other parts of this experience. Fox sighed, turned, and leapt off the building, before awakening with a jolt. She immediately jumped up and looked around to make sure no one had made any threatening stances, but no... She slid her knife into a pocket, before addressing the group, "I-I think I may have just had a vision about Nath." @DramaQueen @Channelknight Fadran @Condensation @Vapor
  20. “Oh. Well, then. I will be waiting for him when he does.” Fox walked over to Nath, and settled down, her legs crossed. Seeing Nath so peaceful, caused exhaustion to wash over Fox for the first time all day. She had not allowed herself to slow down, so she had not felt tired. No, Fox could not sleep. She could not leave Nath, not now...
  21. By the time the process had finished, Fox’s knuckles were white from gripping her knife. She had barely kept it aback, but there was something about this... Herial, that radiated warmth. Something told Fox that even without Herial’s steady hand on the knife, Fox never would have actually stabbed her. “Thank you,” Fox said softly. “Are you sure Nath is okay?” She glanced back at Nath laying in a tranquil slumber.
  22. “May I ask who’s calling?”
  23. “mthm-yes” Fox barely got through her gritted teeth, before bringing down her hand that wasn’t clutching the knife, and pressing the bandage with it. It wasn’t so much the pain, which was excruciating, but more of the fact that Fox was putting herself at the mercy of another. That was not something she liked to do much.
