Oh, nice! I already told about my weird dream in another thread, but here it is again! (more detail this time) Not sure if I was Lily Evans or not, but I'm pretty sure that I was friends with Snape, though it looked nothing like him. There were sketches of us that I remember seeing then I took the one of him and left him the one of me at his house (that's where I was , but I didn't see him.) Then I left. I don't know how much later it was, but we talked later and I think we danced? I remember being close to his face, and this is where he definitely didn't look like Snape. He had black and white hair and eyeshadow, so that was weird. Then the next scene I remember, we're sitting by each other and he gives me a magic box. He looks different now, with long luscious black hair? But it's still Snape? Anyway, this box extends before it opens, and there are a bunch of boxes stacked inside each other (think matryoshka dolls) then there are Hershey's kisses and he says something like, "I thought I'd give you a real one, too" and he leans in and I reject him and say something like "Sorry, but maybe we should just be friends." That's the last thing I remember, but I usually don't remember my dreams at all, so it was really weird that I remembered this one so well. It was really vivid, and I'm confused why I had a dream about Snape, because I don't even get why people defend him. (don't hate me please) He was still really rude to Harry, and he's an adult, so he shouldn't still hold grudges. Like, yeah, it's sweet that he has always loved Lily, but still... He had way too much of a temper and wasn't a good person in any way until the last book.

I never really enjoyed the Eragon series. The first book, the one by that title, was pretty good if I'm remembering correctly, but I don't think I liked any of the others.

I can't see or hear anything unless it's open and on the surface of your mind. It's not like I can just delve into your deepest secrets. And, honestly, I feel like my magic more decided to make your thoughts invade my mind. Don't know if you noticed, but I got a little overwhelmed there. Queen suddenly remembered something. Besides, you looked into my memories earlier. It's only fair. Do you have any idea where enhancement magic might be? Behind which door, or in what room?

I think my main worry is that it is such a common fantasy theme or idea, and I don't want to write any generic fantasies.

Awww Yeah, I'll probably be on a lot less often now, though. I'm taking some summer online classes, and I need to get those done, plus there's a ton of stuff I'm involved in and busy with, but I'll do my best to pop in at least once a day!

This is awesome, thanks Fadran! I will definitely be participating in this!!! I have an idea for, not really a different world, but still fantasy, and I'd like some help fleshing it out. Basically, there's a girl and also a boy who is similar to an Animagus from Harry Potter. I hate feeling like I'm stealing ideas, so any advice on how to make it obviously a different idea than Animagi? Then I can steal your ideas with permission! I feel like I would have come up with this without the existence of the idea of Animagi, but since they do exist, I think people might assume I got it from HP. I might make it be like hereditary or a curse or something? Like, his great-great-great grandpa offended a witch/fairy/enchantress/wizard/warlock/elf and he/she cursed him and all his future kin? But I don't know how I'd make it more like a curse, because it seems pretty fun to me.

Queen had been standing in the doorway, invisible, but she could tell there was a lot going on and she needed to do something to help. She had no idea where to look or what to do to find enhancement powers, so she began a tour of her own mind. It was odd, because that really was the only way to describe it. She was mentally walking through her head, looking at everything she could do. In the part of her mind that she had unlocked, there was a switch that she hadn't tried, as she had no idea what it might do. It couldn't hurt... right? She pulled the switch, and suddenly her mind flooded with the thoughts of those around her. It was so loud and shocking that she tried to block it out by putting her hands over her ears, but it didn't help. The noise wasn't outside, it was coming from her friends' heads into her own. She screamed, but only in her head. The voices stopped, and everyone in the room looked around for her. Becoming visible again, Queen slumped on the floor, breathing heavily. The mind-reading switch or whatever it was was still activated, so she reached out to Fadran mentally. Can you hear me?

People eat frog legs all the time, what's the difference if you have the rest of the frog?
