"I understand." That's good to know. And oddly, it makes her feel almost like she understands Trylle. She's definitely lied to protect people. "Where did they go?"
Martin doesn't have the rip tech. But she does. Not only that, but she has all of the control equipment. The warning shots. The kill switches. They're both safe.
"That sounds like a good idea." She forces a smile.
"No." She usually tries not to think about that. It's entirely possible that they won't find each other, and that... that could be worse than anything either of them have gone through before.
