  1. On C1, TJ swung the vote onto Silber. If he was an elim, protecting Pyro would make no sense. As such, he is probably a villager.
  2. Dr. Gears took the proffered paper and signed it with his pen. "May I go with you to whatever you are investigating?" he asked. "My most recent project won't be ready for a week."
  3. This implies village!TJ, though do not let this blind you to his faults. The following is an analysis of people who voted on Pyro. Gears: I thought Pyro's alignment would indicate TJ's alignment. Even though we lynched a villager, we at least pseudo-cleared someone. Matrim's Dice: Goes along with the plan. Provides no reasoning as to why. I would have been suspicious of this, but they were just murdered, so... Straw: Agrees with the plan. Being the one to suggest it, this makes sense. Doesn't like the emotional appeal angle Pyro appears to have been going for. Vapor: Goes along with it with no reasoning. [No reasoning] Shard of Reading: Goes along with it with no reasoning promising to reread the thread and never returned. [No reasoning] The_Truthwatcher: Goes along with it with no reasoning. Mentions needing to go to sleep. Could be an elim, could be a sleepy villager. [No reasoning] Lahlit: Agrees with my demand for an explanation. Doesn't like the emotional appeal. [Repeating previous reasoning] The Young Pyromancer: While he was indeed doomed, there was no need to be so self-defeating about it. Frozen Mint: Finds it suspicious that Pyro didn't try to defend himself. [Repeating previous reasoning] Ashbringer: Doesn't see why Pyro is up for the lynch, but finds the lack of defense odd. Notes that my commandeering of the lynch as a new player is strange, though NAI. [Repeating previous reasoning]. Fifth Scholar: Notes Pyro's strange vote and subsequent retraction on C1, Pyro's chaotic approach, a lack of traction on the bandwagons against him, and a gut read. Does not agree with TJ's alignment depending on Pyro's. Mist: Finds the self-vote suspicious. [Repeating previous reasoning] Devotary of Spontaneity: Doesn't really see why Pyro is up for the lynch, but voting is mandatory and the Pyro lynch has so much traction that it doesn't matter. [Doesn't agree with the lynch] TJ Shade: Did TJ ever support the Pyro lynch? IIRC, he just defended himself. Mentions wanting to rage-lynch Pyro for something in the LG. [Doesn't agree with the lynch (maybe, someone correct me if I'm wrong)] The players who jumped on the Pyro lynch with little to no reasoning are mildly suspicious. These players are Vapor, Shard of Reading, and The_Truthwatcher, I'm actually feeling more and more suspicious of Vapor, what with the wishy-washy votes C1 and the minimal reasoning for this vote. Marginally less suspicious are the players who repeated previous reasoning. They could have agreed with it, or just wanted to hide under the analysis of others. These players include Lahlit, Frozen Mint, Ashbringer, and Mist. @MysticLotus, could you explain your vote on TJ?
  4. I thank you for your sacrifice, and hope that seppuku restores your honor.
  5. It has come to my attention that my previous vote count was incorrect. Here is a corrected version Pyro: 7 (Gears, Matrim's Dice, Straw, Shard of Reading, The_Truthwatcher, Vapor, Lahlit) TJ Shade: 6 (Eternum, StrikerEZ, MysticLotus, Frozen Mint, Pyro, Ventyl) Please correct me if I am wrong.
  6. @TJ Shade, I think you might be asleep, but if you wish to live, you need to vote on Pyro in the next two hours.
  7. Pseudonyms Hoid. Roamer - by Galladon in the Purelake. Dust. The King's Wit. Imperial Fool of the Rose Empire. Topaz. Drifter. Cephandrius. Lunu'anaki. Cephandrius Maxtori. Midius - a name Hoid uses in an unpublished work; when Ash uses this name she is probably referring to Hoid. (His real name remains unknown.)
  8. Pyro, you have failed to defend your actions in a meaningful way. This only increases my suspicion of you. I request that anyone who has not voted on Pyro do so.
  9. Pyro: 5 (Gears, Matrim's Dice, Straw, The_Truthwatcher, Vapor) TJ Shade: 4 (Eternum, StrikerEZ, MysticLotus, Frozen Mint) Tell me if this is wrong. @The Young Pyromancer, @TJ Shade, do you have any last minute defenses?
  10. Pyro PMed me and we bantered about roles. The PM died a quick and painless death soon after game start.
  11. @Ashbringer, @Vapor, @Shard of Reading, @Mist, @The_Truthwatcher, @MysticLotus, @The Young Pyromancer, @Experience, @Fifth Scholar, @Devotary of Spontaneity, @Lahilt, @Sparkrunner, you have not voted. The current plan is to lynch Pyro so we can extrapolate TJ's alignment.
  12. History, computer science, linguistics, etc. He has a Wikipedia article. Just be sure to select Tom Scott (entertainer) as Tom Scott is a very popular name.
  13. True. @Straw, your opinion on the Pyro lynch to determine TJ's alignment.
  14. Great YouTuber. Does informative videos with clever Rickrolls.
  15. You thought you could Rickroll me? I have that link memorized from too many attempts by Tom Scott!
  16. I think your reasoning makes sense, and I am opposed to lynching you. Given that Pyro and TJ have been linked by TJ swinging the vote to Silber, I propose lynching Pyro since we suspected him of being an elim and his status as an elim would increase the likelihood of TJ being an elim. With only ~6 hours left in the cycle, we need to consolidate lynch targets, and I do not think TJ is a good one. His analysis and reasoning have been sound thus far, and I don't think lynching him without further evidence would be productive. If Pyro turns out to be an elim, we will lynch TJ. @The Young Pyromancer, I am voting for you.
  17. Actually, as π and τ are multiplicative constants, a better option is √(πτ), or √(2)π
  18. I believe you have accidentally reversed my opinion. I do not want to trust many people.
  19. Thank you for clarifying. Question: Do you actively suspect me as an elim or just think that my status as a new player shouldn't beget me an immediate village read for activity and enthusiasm?
  20. I don't see why the switch off xino is that suspicious. TJ voted xino because he saw a deviation from the playstyle he had observed in a previous game, and giving the mandatory voting, he probably wanted to get his vote on someone. However, the vote on Silber does seem strange. I looked over last cycle and it appears that TJ voted Silber because Silber didn't vote xino. I could see this being early game suspicions being reinforced by later posts, but Silber didn't seem especially suspicious to me [though seven people disagreed on that]. In conclusion, TJ is probably alright, but I understand your suspicion. If I don't find any other suspicions by the end of the cycle I might drop a vote, but I'll hold off for now.
  21. And τ art a fool who clings to your "π-ous" ideals!
  22. I actually prefer the τ-th ideal. I will not sacrifice efficiency for tradition.
  23. Victoire is a French female name meaning "Victory" equivalent to the English Victoria. Nicholas and its female equivalent Nicole are also derived from victory, literally meaning "Victory of the people"
  24. An analysis on people who voted for Silber: Straw: Didn't like Silber's flimsy excuse for voting Fifth and making the xino-Fifth theory. Vapor: Provides vague restated reasoning, could be new player syndrome. TJ Shade: Didn't like the Fifth bandwagon. The_Truthwatcher: Placed a random vote on Silber then never retracted it. Pyro: Self-preservation vote. Frozen Mint: Chose the most suspicious of the lynch candidates. Devotary: Notes that the odds of either lynch candidate being an elim are low. Uses knowledge of Pyro's playstyle when an elim to decide who to vote for. I don't think any of these votes are particularly suspicious, especially since Silber was behaving very suspiciously. Vapor's vote is the most suspicious, but as they are a new player, I will be lenient. Matrim, Fifth is not soft-cleared as Silber had no information and could have hypothesized elim!Fifth with village!xino as easily as any other combination of alignments. EDIT: @Shard of Reading, @Experience, @Ventyl, @Sparkrunner, you did not vote. One grace cycle remains.
  25. Knight(s) of Wrath.
