  1. yeah thats similar to the approach im about to begin
  2. The guards' spears remain crossed. "Do you know the names and occupations of said people?" Calano nods. "Eric G. Corvus, theoretical/quantum physicist, and Eliza M. Corvus, theoretical/quantum physicist. Both have been responsible for major breakthroughs in dimensional travel."
  3. there's a lot of ways to write. What Gregorio said is very good, but here's what I've done: im making a trilogy, high fantasy, interconnected universe and the like. I have not bothered to start my first draft. And, if I were to write a first draft based on the original idea, the VERY FIRST idea for the series, it'd be AWFUL. I believe I am either almost there or there already in terms of perfecting the plot, characters, and worldbuilding. oh, and it's been 6 months. so basically: do it your way, and take your time.
  4. "Such a title is irrelevant!" Hyron says up at him, still in an offensive stance.
  5. I KNOW RIGHT??? IT'S AWESOME I LOVE IT
  6. The Girl Who Drank The Moon, Kelly Barnhill I started this book yesterday, and it's sooooo gooooood.
  7. Working on more right now, actually. A decent little vignette/flash fiction.
  8. Scene #77: The Narrator. I might turn this into something. Perhaps another vignette.
  9. They enter the borders of the village, and two guards stand in front of them, spears crossed. "Spears?" Calano mutters, "Gods, what happened here?" "Halt," One of the guards says, "State your name and intentions." Calano glances at Emma before stepping forward and pressing a hand to his chest. "Calano J Corvus, at your service," He said, bowing his head slightly, "We're looking for 2 people."
  10. I did say that, and will say that. It's what I am. I get excited when characters get into relationships, and I love putting my characters into relationships. Yeah it was more informal and flowy than the last one. I just let my feelings guide my writing, writing romance and secrets into the page. I'm no stranger to secrets, and I know how difficult it is to tell your partner your deepest secrets. But I say this; It is one of the best feelings after you tell them. Because if they're a true partner, and they truly care about your feelings, they will not be scared away. They will be there for you, share your burdens. I'm no stranger to pain. I'm no stranger to sorrow and secrets. But sharing my sorrow and my secrets, is one of the best things I could have done.
  11. Hyron attempted a sidestep and almost fully went through with it, but the water slashed their arm a bit. Hyron jumped back and blew on the wound with Breath, healing it to a scab. Hyron was about to launch vines at the attacker, when- Hyron faltered, turning around, holding a hand out for a ceasefire to the other human. No way were they going to fight two humans at once. Besides, it was the blasphemous human who was floating down. Dammit.
  12. Hyron responded immediately, crouching and bringing up a wall of vines. While behind the wall, they took a quick swig of water before creating a sharpened vine and slashing through and over the wall, directly at her opponent. So much for peaceful partings... stalks, today was weird.
  13. "Irrelevant! You have trespassed on our lands without the proper permissions! Leave. Now." Hyron said, brandishing his club.
  14. Hyron created a small club, making it grow from the dirt and break off in their hand. It was thick and durable, and should work well against this human. Despite the sword. Made of metal. "Who are you?" Hyron said quietly yet firmly, "We've had enough interference from humans today. Leave."
  15. Calano thought for a moment. "I think we'll be alright as ourselves."
  16. @xinoehp512 The net was of a dark forest green, tightly woven. The fibers were about an inch in diameter, and the diamond space between them was about 2 inches at their widest. Hyron watched from a point nearby as the stranger reached forward, hovering in the air like the blasphemer that he was, and prodded the net. That net was made of the thickest vines, woven together to create a powerful net, a protection of the Center Domain. It was also enchanted, making things beyond the net invisible to those in front of it. So, if all was well, the stranger would see nothing more than a net and the forest. They held their breath, fidgeting with their hair. The stranger didn't seem antagonistic, but he didn't listen to Hyron's warnings to stay away. Stalks... this was bad. Suddenly a flurry of motion at the base of the net caught their eye. Hyron squinted, and saw a human, a human with a sword. A human! Armed, near the Center Domain! What was going on today? Hyron turned to a nearby soldier and barked at him to keep an eye on the soldier. Then they turned, fired a vine, and used it to lower themselves to the ground, to confront the armed human. They passed under the net, then began creeping towards the human. This would not stand. @Mr. Misting
  17. Understood. Get back to me with what you find. Calano nodded, face grim. "Bookwyrm just got to his dimension, so let's hurry our search. We'll go down to that neighborhood and see what information we can gather. Our parents, if they're still alive, should be able to help."
  18. "No, no, I'm not mad. Just rattled. Random demon helm on my wife's head, is all. Please, explain though." @The Wandering Wizard
  19. Calano jumped back in shock, cursing. "What the-"
  20. Calano didn't notice. Soon, they exited the forest, reaching a field. Across the field, they could see a... a neighborhood. Perhaps this world hadn't been as devestated as they had been led to believe. Calano looked at Emma.
  21. that reminds me a LOT of the Three Dark Crowns series. i dig it.
  22. Calano let his hand linger on the tree before letting it fall back to his side. "Yes." he said, "Yes, let's keep moving." He entwined his hand with Emma's and they began to walk through the forest.
  23. im flipping you off, by flipping off this reply, by flipping off my computer screen. you've been flipped off
  24. Calano put his hand against one of the nearby trees. "They've... mellowed out. They've accepted that they actually get to live. I also don't sense the Father of Light anymore.."
  25. Calano waved a hand and formally declared the wedding was over. "Thank you everyone for coming, it was a wonderful wedding, and we'll see you all later!" Calano took Emma's hand, turned on the spot, and appeared in the forest, in the same spot as before. But it was different. But of course it was different. It had been years since they were last here. At least, in terms of this universes time. Calano's uncle was no longer there, and the grass seemed taller. Flowers were less sporadic. Trees seemed... older. "Wow," Calano said, snapping his fingers and changing his attire back to black lab coat with a t-shirt and jeans, "This place seems more matured."
