  1. Hi Ene, long time no see! "Okay, hello, this Wither is really annoying and please tell me you can help me do something about it," Ash said. He blasted a larger chunk of wither into three smaller ones. He wasn't sure if that was better or worse. He went with better, but aimed more of his Aether tendrils at his back and over Ene. He turned to see Nameless with a knife. Well. "Shar, how do you feel about this?" he said sheepishly. This could get complicated.
  2. "You're welcome? Help?" Ash kept cutting. He wasn't sure what the wither would do without a host, but it was definitely still there. But some part of him still questioned.
  3. "A little help here!" Ash yelled, watching Nameless stir as he blasted another circle of black tendrils that came too close. Then he noticed the eyes. "Oh... uh, you alright? Help?"
  4. He knew he wasn't done. Ash dove back, then blinked forward. A spine of wither scored his leg - he was pretty sure his armor held, but now was no time to check. But now most of the darkness was behind him, with Ash's burning light seperating the Nameless and his wound. He drew his scimitar and began slashing, letting his Aether run wild. Fighting, changing, cutting out the infestation. He was also very, very surrounded.
  5. Ash could feel the Aether straining. But he'd felt the touch of the Wither before, even if that Wither was much less malevolent. He felt the same sense of decay from within. The same consumption. And the same... predictible chaos. Ash's eyes began to glow, first dim red, then a bright red-tinged-white, leaving no more shadows for the quivering tendrils to hide in. He had to keep trying. This could work.
  6. Ash pushed through, searching for a parallel universe where Nameless had survived unscathed. There were very few. But enough to make a template. He pushed harder, ordering the corrupted tendrils to become something new. Something Nameless.
  7. “Okay… uh… here goes,” Ash said, focusing his Aether. Then he hit the tendrils with strands of Aether and began working backwards in Nameless’ time.
  8. I know, but Ash doesn’t have all the details. Tbh he probably doesn’t know where he is.
  9. Ash (and Schrodinger before him) has always been a quantum-dimensional expert… “That bad, eh? Well, I have a little present from the past. I should be able to warp reality backwards a bit, so your present from the past makes the past your future. It might just be… strange.”
  10. Ash felt sufficiently forgotten about to quantum teleport to Nameless’s position. ”I might have an idea,” he whispered.
  11. Ash agreed with Doomslug and decided to go incorporeal for the next few pages or so.
  12. Ash blinked and tried to map out the destruction patterns.
  13. “Fine,” Ash said, and added his red-tinted scimitar to the mix.
  14. Ash took notes on how the Witherlord started destroying the universe.
  15. Ash set off a firework in the enclosed space.
  16. Ash determined that this foe would not succumb to a can of tuna, and decided he probably needed backup.
  17. Ash punched the Witherlord with a can of tuna. Then created a scimitar for good measure.
  18. Ash was miffed that his idea of tuna didn't work and started trying to do repairs. He thought briefly of going back to try and find if Schrodinger had Wither abilities, but decided that wasn't the point of the story.
  19. Ash suggested throwing tuna at the withergeists.
  20. Ash jumped through the gateway, backwards, with his favorite tuna sandwich.
  21. Ash blipped, then forgot how time worked again.
  22. I... uh... mostly did nothing. Should probably go have dinner and then do HW. Getting a haircut tomorrow, so that's somewhat exciting. (I very much need a haircut )
