Cassie unrolled a few papers and passed them over to the Anarchist. “These are a few things I’ve noticed about Lord. A few sketches of what I can remember. 192 spikes, as well as a lot of fabrials, which could also be weaponized. You think you can counter that?” She started unwrapping a few of the smaller bombs, seeing if anyone would like one. There were plenty to go around, it seems.

“My eyes are... not, my eyes. Changed somehow.” It was Tyrian’s turn to be surprised. Althea didn’t like the destruction, she liked... not-destruction. He didn’t know what to make of that. He knew Cinder had mentioned something, perhaps, about it, but the ashspren still seemed afraid or angry at him for some reason. ”I have no reason to burn this city. I had - have - hope it could be different. Not city... something else. Something to not-burn.” But it was different, in a way he couldn’t quite describe. He’d never had to describe it before, it was just... city. Unhinged? Hinges? “I am... not. Not what I was, long ago. I am not what I am.” ”But I will-“ Something irked him. He couldn’t tell what. A glance, a shift in the air, an instinct, an impulse. But suddenly Tyrian turned around, scanning the crowd. Something was... not. @Sorana @bees? @Kings_way @kenod @BringerOfLight

Okay, here's some thoughts. First of all, the reason I got so cryptical was because I'm the other Chemist (suprise), which means I had Sart's scanning ability. I got it D2, so I started scanning N2, where I scanned Straw, and found him using the History action. Which I thought was harmless, until he claimed Mechanics in thread, which I got... very excited about in my GM PM . I'm not sure why I started mentioning anything, as I should have just kept my head down and let the lynch run its course, but I wanted to gloat feel like I was contributing. That's what I meant by "also, History" at the very end of the turn - Straw was History, not me. N3 I scanned Frozen Mint and came up with... nothing. She didn't use an action. Seeing now that some backgrounds didn't have effects associated with them that makes more sense, but with the known abilities I could not for the life of me understand why a player wouldn't use a night action, especially since she was hinting Vote Manip as a disease as a day action. So I tried to push that, and got nowhere. N4 I scanned Striker (I'm not entirely sure why, as I'd somehow forgotten he'd pushed Devotary early) and... also nothing. I'd remembered his trustworthyness after, so I didn't push it. Oh, I'm also another Progression user. I cleaned Illwei. Which made me very nervous when everyone started saying there must be an Elim Cleaner. Other notes: ... Oh. Well, I took it hook, line, and sinker, didn't I? I was wondering why you were pushing me when I'd hopefully confirmed as Chemist, but I figured I had been a bit mercurial, so I just took it and tried to push on (and, ironically, purposefully not vote on Matrim so I wouldn't be self-preserving). Yes, and not much See above. It kinda created a pretty big dilemma. I claimed directly to Kas after Devotary got lynched (hoping that by saying Chemist he'd believe me), and put "C" in the PM that Mist created, the Yelly-Yell Group, which meant after Sart's death Vapor, Striker, Lahilt, and especially Matrim (because you brought it up in-thread) would also know. That's another reason I kinda suspected Mint, is because if she was the Elim instead of Lahilt/Matrim it could explain why I wasn't dead yet. And lastly, this was really really fun. Having the roles move around a bit, the backgrounds providing flavor and special mechanisms, PM's shutting down and scaring the living daylights out of me, and just the unique setting. I'd play this again in a heartbeat, with a few tweaks. So thanks for running this game!

... okay then.
-
Also, didn’t Sart target Devotary? Vote stays.
-
I’ll move to Lahilt if @Matrim's Dice posts scan results. I’d much rather have a solid lynch than one that can be swung by Vote Manip.
-
In interest of not dying to vote manip, Matrim. Elim doesn’t need to be capitalized, but it’s generally what people will do. It helps draw Attention to the word in a sentence or paragraph.
-
... It’s not incriminating. I would have pushed this sooner if it was. But I can’t understand why it would occur if you truly are a Villager and I understand this game correctly, and you just try and deflect my questions back at me. Maybe any information you have will help the Elims. But at this point in the game I’m wary of a player who isn’t contributing much of anything.
-
I’ll move to Matrim if this leads nowhere. It’s not the information that’s dangerous to Elims. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. If we know who’s been manipulating votes, we can more easily stop Elims from manipulating a lynch, because vote manip allows Elims to make us mislynch and essentially wait a cycle. Vote manip is really only dangerous in Elim hands, and nowhere near as dangerous in Village hands. So if you are a Village vote manipulator, I don’t know why you’re so hesitant to say anything. And I do have more information than I’ve been letting on, particularly on Mint. The moment I reveal that information, however, it becomes easily countered as it’s nowhere as condemning as Lotus’s or Sart’s. Which is why it’s almost useless, and why I’m trying to get a little use out of it. And while it is slightly hypocritical of me as I haven’t claimed a role in-thread, I’ve been soft-claiming scanner for a while now, and there’s a few who know specifics. And, it’s an open lynch so far. Matrim will in all likelyhood be the final target, but there’s still three and a half hours for that to change, so I’m not going to deflect this. So, is there a reason you don’t want to claim a role, or can you offer some information about it?
-
Well. That's a fun surprise. I'll see if I can respond to a few parts of it. I was more focused on Gears leading to a mislynch on Illwei than one on Lotus. I'd been slightly suspicious from the start from Lotus giving a list of reads with no real judgements, but if Gears was killed for his analysis, the only people who he analyzed were Illwei and somewhat Lotus. I'm more of the mind that Elims kill for having analysis that's too wrong over too right, which made me wonder if Illwei and Lotus were trying to get pushed. Then Elkanah came out with the corrected vote count, where an additional vote had been Soothed off of Lotus. I found that suspicious, because it meant that someone else had tried to save Lotus, or there'd been a coordinated attempt to and Lotus was bluffing with a role a fellow Elim really had. Lastly, I get nervous around bandwagons. I couldn't really understand the start of the Devotary lynch (as the initial reason was a Freudian slip of one word), and I just saw a bunch of people voting with no counter. Straw had provided a read, and I decided that I could try and push it to a counter-lynch. When I saw Illwei and Matrim had beat me to it, I thought that was also too quick of a lynch for my tastes. If Sart hadn't revealed, I probably would have gone back to pushing people for reads. To this I say... One, I'm not sure what ISO is. Two, at the end of D2 I'd just gotten back from a golf trip and was more looking forward to drinking a gallon of water than trying to analyze a lynch. And Three (for the italiced part)... that's sort of how I play. I hedge quite a bit, and avoid saying any strong opinions, because I'm quite bad at doing any reads based on the thread and without any votes/read lists/actions to go off of. I don't try and completely shift a read based on nothing, but I will strongly examine them if new information comes in that could influence, which is what happened to my read on Lotus. And I'd much rather have someone I'm not sure of their alignment "tank the heat" instead of the one person I've successfully confirmed their alignment - myself. I can summarize my playstyle a bit more if you want, but I'd rather keep it to myself. And, now that I've typed enough information to be ninja'd: As much as I don't like having votes that "could change", seeing as it's on me I'll make an exception. Unfortunately, I don't have much new information. Or, rather, my information is nothing. If pressed I can certainly clarify my cryptic-ness (cryptocracy?) of last cycle, but I've said enough that a few should figure it out. There's an additional piece I can share, but I need to check a few things first. "Collector of information" is a bit strong, as I don't have much information from any sources that aren't my own actions or the thread. Lastly, I accept Kas' point on Lahilt probably being Village. That leaves Illwei, Araris, Matrim, and Mint. Well, time to be a bit bold and ignore self-preservation. Frozen Mint, you don't want to claim a role in thread. Depending on the role, I can understand that. But now you've offered a bit of information about Vapor, someone who's been barely suspected, and it concerns vote manip, which is very dangerous in Elim hands, after telling me you had no outside information about Straw and didn't wish to answer questions. The Elims have let several players with vote-manip abilities live, so why don't you want to share information if your role isn't as big of a threat? Edit: @Frozen Mint

Cassie glanced at her left arm to check the time. She wanted to do this quickly, as with Poller away her store was empty. ”Anarchist, do you want me to give a rundown on what your” - she bit her lip - “objective is?” Not objective. Target.

I'm going to just put this here. Straw: Unfortunately Devotary never actually posted a full analysis spreadsheet, so I can't compare them (unless someone smarter than me can find it). Straw also would likely not read all his fellow Elims in the Village category, but it's worth looking at his reads. Elim: Lotus, Illwei, Araris, Striker. Lotus is dead and confirmed Village. Striker joined the Devotary wagon early, so I'll read him Village. That leaves Illwei and Araris, who were suspected by most and still are. Village: Kasimir, TJ Shade, Matrim. Kas is the paragon of Village (or a really well hidden sleeper agent), TJ generally trusted, Matrim less so. Nothing really changes here. Null: Sart, Devotary, Lahilt, Vapor, Elandera, Mint, and Ash. Sart is dead and confirmed Village; Devotary, confirmed Elim. So I suspect that there's another Elim hiding in the pool of Vapor, Mint, Lahilt, and Elandera, whom I'll discount for now for adjusting. (I suppose that Ash guy could be an Elim as well, but for some reason I doubt it.) Lahilt: hasn't posted much as always, but in addition to Straw's read and the Pyro vote, he voted on Devotary D1 on a "random gut read". However, he never seemed to follow up on it, nor retract it. Could be a distancing tactic. Frozen Mint: late to join the Devotary lynch, and responded to my questions last cycle of why she made a counter-vote against the Straw bandwagon without much in the way of information. She also "discouraged" me from asking such questions and Vapor from posting the vote manip information Kasimir specifically requested and Vapor agreed to get. There's a few other bits of information that make me suspicious of Mint, but they don't really amount to anything. Vapor: Vapor has the ability to read vote manip, like Kas. I'd find that a strange ability to give to an Elim, but theoretically a useful one to root out Village vote manipers. Like Lahilt has been rather quiet, but nothing stands out as suspicious. I'm probably most suspicious of Lahilt, then Mint. I'd be fine lynching either of these in addition to the Matrim/Illwei/Araris group, but I'm beginning to wonder about a few of my suspicions. I've been typing this up for a while now, so I'll just post it. I'll see if I can do a more up-to-date post with some more reads and a vote.
