  1. Okay, some points: I essentially spent the game passing my teammates Trade Rights so we would be able to double our votes for, well, this kind of occasion. I was very irritated when we managed to lynch the other Trademaster first and raise my rates, but that's the economy for you. We figured out @xinoehp512 was Iadon pretty much right when Mist died, and were pretty sure he was a power role (Monk/Iadon/Secretary) when Mist and Vapor moved to save him (but still we killed TJ for... some reason). But by the time we figured it out we were already playing the how-much-Deo-does-Elkanah-HAVE game so we never got to killing him. @Elkanah... heh. That was a fun pocket, even if it wasn't as good as I thought. Please post so I can upvote you... @Illwei... I also feel bad even though I technically never voted for you, because there was the tell again but I was... definitely blowing it a tad out of proportion. I'll PM you what it is. Both me and Mat (the active Elims) were... very concerned by the fact that somehow all the Villagers and the Monk (save for Silber and Venture(?)) had PMs together while we were left out of it. I was scared to death that Xino had moved the Secretary to clear Lotus, Mist, and Vapor all at once and that you somehow hadn't realized that made us two the Elims. ... did anyone use Identity Theft? At all? I have now been every combination with Ventyl: first *Village*!Ash vs Elim!Ventyl where I pushed Ventyl to the lynch, then Elim!Ash vs Village!Ventyl where I did all I could to stop Ventyl from getting lynched by my teammates and failed miserably, Village!Ash vs Village!Ventyl where I ended up lynching Ventyl again, and finally both of us on an Elim team together. So now we just need to both be opposing neutral roles. Also, two of our Immortal Trio (Faleast, Philco, and Sunmaker) were Elims... heh. Faleast and AraRaash have Dakhor bones now... heh heh heh. You ask for a Bone Collector? I'll show you a Bone Collector. All in all, this was an amazing game. There were so many things that could have changed it up, from inactivity to losing both Actors and the Kingpin so soon, to nearly pulling off a WGG to stall out the Monk win, to actually managing to stab the Monk to death for once... I loved it.
  2. Hi Elkanah! I had a fun time pretending to be the Monk to cover for you, but unfortunately AraRaash wanted your bones. I'll have more thoughts and some RP to come, but that was... wow. That was an amazing game.
  3. Er... @Kings_way, @Gears, @The Windrunner Supreme, @Frozen Mint, @CadCom: cycle ends in 2 hours and we've got one vote on the board.
  4. Okay first, am I the only one seeing two threads? @xinoehp512 may want to move your post. Fake Edit: Ninja'd by Kyne. Real Edit: Not Kyne, Vapor... Second, yeah, Kings PMd... I'm not entirely sure why I believed it, but Mat already had the vote committed and I figured it would be better to be sure and be wrong then half-commit, end it in a tie, and then have a 50% chance of never knowing the truth. This game plays really well into WGGs... and if these hypothetical Elims really had no clue who the monk was but knew it wasn't Elk and probably wasn't me, stalling out the parity's actually a pretty smart move. Besides, now I know there really are two monks...
  5. Kings Way Elkanah PMs apparently can be helpful at times...
  6. I was very confused for a second between Gears @'ing me twice in the MR and me not noticing the second page. I'll go Kings Way. Edit: would rather not do a tie between Kings and Matrim, and I'm more suspicious of Kings. Although that's rather obvious... Edit to my edit while I'm editing: Er... this is what I said, Mat.
  7. I have a Hidden Aviar, which now that the Nightmaw's gone doesn't accomplish anything (and also means I have no experience level because I can't visit people). Other than that I have no intel, no PMs, just a general suspicion of everyone. I can probably do reads tomorrow or tonight, but not right now. Lynch candidates are any of us; Gears, Ash, Windrunner, CadCom, Frozen Mint, and KingsWay. @Frozen Mint and @Kings_way are inactive, and while I suspect one of them is an Elim I highly doubt it's both, so I'd rather not lynch one at lylo. Gears is trying to get as much info as possible, Windrunner is new and has a very direct suspicion list, I'm me, and CadCom has been... semi inactive but here each cycle, and would rather lynch an inactive.
  8. Nobody's PM'd me anything, unfortunately. Or fortunately, seeing as the only Messenger we've found was an Elim. As for activity... not much I can say. I've had exams this week along with a huge amount of homework, so I haven't been on for most of the rollovers, and a good portion of my SE - oriented brainpower is headed towards the LG. @The Windrunner Supreme, anything to say?
  9. "It makes me want to scream." *Looks around* I have no memory of this place...
  10. As much as I'd rather not lynch myself... I don't think gambling on lynching an inactive is a smart play here. We whiff, we lose, and there's obviously someone still using kills. Although that could be a Silber-like strat where they're inactive in thread but not in actions. Also, didn't CadCom move his vote to someone? I think Mint? Not that it matters for the end result but it's a point to be made.
  11. So... I don't know about you guys, but I don't plan to be awake at 6:00 AM PST, so... I'll look at voting now. Learning if there's an Elim within the inactives would be nice, but I'm a little loathe to vote Mint as part of a Contribution Crusade when in all likelihood I won't be active enough to change it... although I'm not sure what they could say at this point. I find it rather interesting the only one who's proposed a non-Straw lynch is Cadcom (and Straw, but that... doesn't count). That doesn't make me feel good about Straw's lynch... but there's so much inactivity it's not terribly surprising, and it fits a Straw+(Inactive) team. And he'll give a lot of info if he flips. So... I don't know. We're not in hammer territory yet, but one mislynch and we likely will be. I'll check back in an hour or two (and probably vote Straw if no one shows up), but I'd like to hear from some people. Edit: Well... Straw it is.
  12. Okay, so here's the problem. There was probably four Elims at the start, as three along with the Monk's existence would be nearly impossible odds. That means the current distribution is 4 Villagers, 3 Elims, 1 Monk. If we lynch a Villager today, the Monk wins outright. If we lynch the Monk today, the Elims win next turn unless a stray roleblock and/or murder turns things around correctly. If we lynch an Elim... there's a ton of variables, like if the Elims decide to keep pecking Elkanah to death or hit a Villager to get it back into close dispersion or if the Monk uses a Murder contract and hopes he lives. That might still be the best course of action, might not. It depends on how confident we are in our night actions. But a mislynch is fatal. As Matrim so eloquently ninja'd me on, we could also try to not have a lynch... but that has a few problems. That would be very vulnerable to a hammer, but even if the votes played nice, it just gives the Elims another chance to break through Elkanah and (from my non-Monk perspective) put the village at an eternal lylo. There's also the problem of the adjudicator, who could force a no lynch. I have a... suspicion... of who the adjudicator is, but I have no idea for sure. Only one who does is the Great and Powerful Iadon, who I think we all know who is, and the Adjudicator themself. This is a risk, but I think a worthwhile one: Adjudicator, is there anyone who is immune to the lynch today? Because if we lynch the immune target we essentially give up the day to the night kills, and I highly doubt the Elims can spare the time to kill you now. My advice for a lynch would be Kings Way or Lotus if we want an Elim dead, Elkanah if we want the Monk dead and want to play with roleblocks and knives in the dark, or Xino if we decide that we're done with this new capitalist-monarchy government and want to spread the People's Republic of Elendel off of Scadrian borders. I trust Vapor, Xino, and somewhat Venture; that leaves Mat, Lotus, and Kings, and then Elkanah as Monk. Other things: I'd like to reiterate that Elk is the Monk, not me. For all the good it might do. ELKANAH talk to me here. I only have enough deo for one night... when? I specifically voted on Silber to NOT vote on someone who I thought would be lynched so I could cover for Elk... which you all promptly ignored. I'll leave it at that for now. I'm pretty busy today, will hopefully be less so tomorrow.
  13. Hi everyone. I'm going to need a bit to figure out what the storms is going on, then I can post something. But I don't think I can keep this up anymore.
  14. ... that makes somewhat more sense, but you didn't say that in the post I was referring to. At least you didn't say it directly.
  15. We need one more death before we get double actions, whether that's a lynch or a night kill. I'm not sure if that helps us more than it hurts us, but it doesn't look like it could be prevented anyway. Elk, I can do the thing now but I won't be able to do it again for a good while after. When? Using a Murder... Kings or Xino would be the optimal targets. Maybe even Venture. But I'm not sure if it's worth the risk; it's so close to parity already.
  16. I'm here. This is... interesting. Windrunner being the other lynch to Turtle does mostly clear him, but I'm not set on that. In particular, I don't like the below very much: Earning Village credit is good, but immediately assuming you're clear because of it ruins the effect somewhat. I've read Straw Village so far. Not so much anymore. Listing possibilities that include the Nightmaw whiffing when the Nightmaw was quite clearly just released (and he said as much in his first post) seems like a fairly large oversight for a player of Straw's caliber... although Elim!Straw would know that too. I also don't really see the connection between the Nightmaw going out now and there being inactive Elims. I'll hold off at voting because looking at Gears and the other Mat-Straw interactions can probably make my reads better. I'll try and take a look at CadCom as well - someone else should probably do one for CadCom and myself, but I will say I wasn't on for the chaos before rollover, again. I was finally watching Endgame =) .
  17. FROM THE OTHER SIIIIIIIIIIIDEE- ... That’s not what you meant, was it. Edit: It’s strange. I guess there’s not much to defend Silber for...
  18. I can tie it for Windrunner. Although knowing my luck with ties...
  19. """Proving""" Hi Xino! Good to see you! Edit: aaaaand he's gone.
  20. I... er... Silberfarben er... Venture for I'm-solo-voting-for-Monk-ambiguity-reasons. Please don't follow me. I have nothing against Venture (at the moment).
  21. I mean, if Vapor did make a PM once per cycle, whether one or two, then that does clear her of killing. Not being an Elim, necessarily, but of killing. Although if she's only made one PM a cycle that raises questions about her Socialite-ness... although only a Socialite can make 4 different PMs... but...? Something's not adding up and I can't tell if it's from me being sleep deprived or some oddity. Anyway, I trust Vapor more than Lotus even more now. So I'd rather not lynch Vapor. Lotus would be fine, although don't count on me moving my vote... I will if needed but for now I'll stay off to the side for Elk's sake. Elkanah we need to strategize this more. I will say, I have some guesses as to who's who in this mess, and if I can guess it with no out-of-thread information then I wouldn't be surprised if any Elims would be able to as well, whether they're in your PMs or not.
  22. I'm in the middle of Chemistry right now, but seeing as I need to protect Elkanah or roleblock someone cover for Elkanah being the Monk, I should probably vote on someone who won't get other votes. So... Lord Silberfarben it is! For now. I'll post again in an hour or so.
  23. Ha. Matrim: Seems most likely that the Elims tried to push him as the counter-lynch to Elkanah, which means I read him even more Village. No reason for the Elims to bus a teammate at this point, much less two at once, although the lack of a kill (a heal would have shown up as "attacked but survived," right?) means the Elims are perhaps not very coordinated. Windrunner: Seems to have completely flipped their suspicion on Matrim, without really explaining why. I assume it's the above, but still a Slight Elim read here. As far as I can tell, Windrunner's just going full steam at whoever he suspects most in the moment. (And that gif hurts my eyes because I'm sleep deprived... but I'll go on a limb and say that's not an expert Elim tactic to make my reads less accurate. ) Straw: No real change from this - still reading as Village. Asking the Healer to claim is interesting, though. If this lack of kill wasn't a Nightmaw whiff, then any Healer claim would be in very great danger. Illwei: Big pusher of Elim!Elk. Village read. Not much else to say. I'm somewhat suspicious of the inactives being Elims, but that could backfire really quickly.
