  1. ... uhh... signups ended two days ago. So not really. If you want, I can make you a Pinch Hitter (if someone goes inactive, you can take their place once the other Pinch Hitters fill in). But the game’s already started. Edit: I, too, do not mobile post very well.
  2. *Panics* ... wait, that was after my vote count.... unless there was another one? Anyway, Ookla the Grammatical / Condensation (3): Ooklil' the Wei / Illwei, Furamirionind, Quinn0928 Gears (2): STINK, TJ Shade Ookla the Disproportionate / Danex (1): Ookla's Dice / Matrim's Dice Ookla the Shadowed / Experience (1): Ookla the Araris Valerian / Araris Valerian
  3. Oh, doing this is definitely fun... it's just quite chaotic. *Panics* Er... found it. here. Aaaaand I'm quoting three people again. Great xD
  4. I just realized, the notification "THE GM mentioned/quoted you in LG72 Day 1..." must be kinda terrifying... Uh... I know exactly what I'm doing!
  5. I was gonna say... I wish I could use people's nicknames for doing this... Just a note, I like to leave threads open on my laptop, so seeing me on doesn't necessarily mean I'm about to make a huge declaration. If you really need a vote count / question answered / something, just @ me. You guys also write a page in the time I've read three, so... sometimes it takes a while to catch up xD Current Vote Count: Ookla the Grammatical / Condensation (3): Ooklil' the Wei / Illwei, Furamirionind, Quinn0928 Gears (2): STINK, TJ Shade Ookla the Disproportionate / Danex (1): Ookla's Dice / Matrim's Dice Ookla the Shadowed / Experience (1): Ookla the Araris Valerian / Araris Valerian Ooklil' the Wei / Illwei (1): Ookla the Grammatical / Condensation
  6. I think Quinn still has a vote on you. Lemme look. Edit: Gears (2): STINK, TJ Shade, Ookla the Shadowed / Experience (1): Ookla the Araris Valerian / Araris Valerian, Ookla the Grammatical / Condensation (1): Quinn0928 Furamirionind (1): Ooklil’ the Wei / Illwei Ookla the Disproportionate / Danex (1): Ookla’s Dice / Matrim’s Dice If I missed any, let me know. Bolding votes/retractions makes it easier to find them.
  7. Hmm. The Shaman can't hoard all the blades, but they could theoretically pass them all to the same player. They just would need to take a blade, pass a blade, take a blade... it would take a long time but it would function. (The Shaman knows where every blade is as of the end of every Day cycle, but it would still take 2 turns to redistribute an Honorblade / set of Honorblades.) Note that this theoretical all-Honorblade-Bearer still only has a day action and a night action, and would only get 2 Stormlight charges. If fully fueled with Tension they could still use a Surge a turn, but no more than that. And, as noted, they cannot be the Shaman themselves.
  8. Gears (2): STINK, TJ Shade, Ookla the Shadowed / Experience (1): Ookla the Araris Valerian / Araria Valerian, Ookla the Grammatical / Condensation (3): Ookla’s Dice / Matrim’s Dice, Quinn0928, FlyingBooks42 Furamirionind (1): Ooklil’ the Wei / Illwei That... should be right? I did that on mobile and without a spreadsheet so... eh. (Illwei, yours was right until you moved )
  9. Illumination affects both yourself and another target. I know I put that in there somewhere... And Illumination does stop roleblocks targeting the Illuminator. So you and your target will still gain the benefits of Illumination. Edit: "Will still be gain". Nice one, Ash.
  10. OTHER NOTE. Everyone who has an Honorblade starts with 2 Stormlight. Every Radiant (Szeth and Kaladin) instead start with 3 Stormlight. They will again recieve these amounts every Highstorm (end of N3, N6, N9... hopefully that’s the last one). Awkward whistling... If Szeth kamikazes... Nightblood goes to a random player. This will be the general rule if the killer is dead and therefore unable to claim a blade (ie they kill someone with a blade but are killed themselves). Note this happens during the Night>Day rollover and doesn’t delay a turn like if the killer had a chance to claim the blade. PAFO
  11. Note the Stone Shaman is always immune to the lynch. The Truthless also makes them immune to non-Nightblood night kills, but the Stone Shaman will not die from a lynch even after the Truthless dies. Looking back that is a little confusing... whoops.
  12. I have concluded my investigation. Or, rather, I have concluded what can be investigated at this time. A large group pierced our fortifications, with the power of Shardblades and Surges, notably the lost Surge of Gravitation. Perhaps Radiant Gravitation, if the rumors are to be believed. And I believe they are. This would make this grouping a cohort sent by Dalinar, likely with the guardsman Kaladin at its head. Noble men, but dangerous and misguided ones. There were seperate incursions at other places, but I think those are of minor consequence. For now. Here is my proposition. Have every Honorblade bound to an individual. Keep them from being summoned. Use their powers if you must, but above all be secretive. Losing another Honorblade would be disastrous, and I doubt they only came for one. Be vigilant, for here stonewalkers tread. Find them. Dispose of them, if you must. But rid Shinovar of this invasion, and do it with haste. For one of our member will be watching. - Radezk-son-Jhoun, Emissary of the Stone Shamans. LG72 has begun!... Finally. PMs are hard. The Day will end at 5:00 PM PST on December 6th, about 47 hours from now. A few notes/clarifications: @Elbereth will be our IM! PMs are currently closed, and will be until opened with Abrasion. So no PMs this turn. I'll probably send out GM PMs before I post this, but if you haven't gotten yours... yell at me or something. Slightly less than half of you got a GM PM from me, and slightly more than half got one from Elandera. This means nothing except that I type slow and that I really couldn't do this without Elandera... If you need a vote count or a clarification in-thread, @ me, or send it in the GM PM. All PMs are to be one-on-one. No group PMs. I've seen what those can do. NO RHYTHM OF WAR SPOILERS IN THE THREAD. Even in spoiler boxes or in PMs. One, I'm not sure even if that's allowed. But mainly, I still haven't read RoW yet, and therefore can't open those spoiler boxes to make sure nothing sneaky is happening. I'd rather be able to avoid the possibility/suspicion of information trading within spoiler boxes that not everyone can open for fear of spoilers. (Don't worry, I'll read RoW soon... but the rule still stands.) Edit: knew I was forgetting something... if you'd like a link to the Spec Doc (and are not a player in the game...) PM me and I'll send you a link. The full game rules can be found here. Honorblade List: (because I can never remember which Order Vedel's the Herald of...) Player List:
  13. Signing up to run one is usually... maybe a month ahead, though? I won't be on in an hour or so, so just an alert that it is 24 Hours ( + 1 ) until Signups End!
  14. If you’re going to be inactive for long periods of time (more than 24 hours) do to scheduled conflicts, just let me know (in the GM PM) and I can probably stave off the filter for a cycle... not much longer. But the filter needs 6 full days to kick someone out, so you all... should be okay? I definitely feel that though - I had to schedule this around my own finals.
  15. *Clicks Spoiler box* *Sees "RoW"* *Panics* *Realizes it's just about reading RoW and contains no actual spoilers on content* *Realizes that's probably why Chaos is viewing this thread*
  16. I still didnt know if I could trust you... and I didnt want to out TJ in case Reading wasn’t TLR. And I was more panicking about the conflicting claims than anything... I wasn’t exactly giving it much though Edit: I also didn’t know know I was going to die, I was just suspicious of it.
  17. Yeah, so I got a PM from Quinn claiming an RB on Gears in about the 10 minutes between me suggesting the RB'er PM someone and Danex suggesting the PM chain / web. And then she told me Reading had claimed TLR, and then TJ claimed TLR to me... which is why I thought I was very dead. And lo and behold I was, after immediately telling Quinn to watch out for TJ... oops. Fortunately you two figured it out.
  18. The Inquisitor smiled at the report. So they now controlled the Cantons. The Lord Ruler still may be the most powerful of them all, but even he had to acquiesce to their political influence. He only had to act in the night, letting the four main Inquisitors wreak havoc on the Obligators. It was over. Except for... one thing. He reached into his cloak, pulling out a blood-filled canister. Within it was that strange spike the Obligator he'd killed had within him. He'd never seen anything like it before. He couldn't even see half of it - half was simple copper, a viable but mostly useless spike, and the other half was... aluminum? Possibly duralumin? He didn't think that was possible. He took out the spike, held it in his hands. It was twisted. Perhaps two spikes stuck together. He knew enough about Hemalurgy not to just implant it. He'd take it to one of the Conventicals. Hemalurgic research was an arduous process, but if someone had learned to make a duralumin spike... it would be well worth it. And it would be fun. A powerful knock resounded on the door to the keep he'd commandeered. The Inquisitor checked that his copper was on, then burned iron. Someone was outside. Alone, but they had much more metal on them than any self-respecting noble would. Another Inquisitor? The Lord Ruler? The door swung open, revealing a... Ah. One of those. The man - it currently looked like a man - stepped through the doorway. It was wearing some metal rings, but the largest source of metal was concentrated in the chest. That, and their head was hairless. And looked exactly like the man he'd ripped this spike out of, except he didn't recall Faleast being see-through. "Kandra," he called out. "State your Contract. You wear the bones of an Obligator." The kandra laughed - a harsh sound, one that the Inquisitor had rarely heard. "Technically, you all just assumed I was an obligator. My contract was to observe the war, and seek out an item if I could. That failed, and instead an item was taken from me," they said, glaring at the spike. "My Contract requires I retrieve it." "Then we are at an impasse, kandra. This spike is under claim by the Inquisitors. I can pay for your Contract, but you must leave. Now." The kandra laughed again. Then they jumped forward, lunging for the spike faster than any man should be capable of. So Blessing of Potency. The Inquisitor simply moved his arm, burning pewter. Then the kandra tapped his leg. And the Inquisitor screamed. He collapsed to the ground, shaking. Metal shot from around the room towards and away him, including the kandra who steadied themselves. His limbs ached like he'd pewter dragged for two days straight. His pewter, steel, iron, copper, all gone. "Yeah, duralumin's not the only thing you've got to learn about," they said, picking up the spike from where it fell. The Inquisitor fumbled for another vial, but the kandra simply kicked it out of his hand. "Nicrosil. It's fun. You should try it some time. Oh right, you don't know it exists. Should probably fix that." "You can't hurt people! It's part of your Contract! Your Oath!" the Inquisitor said quickly. "Well first of all," said the kandra, lithe arm reaching behind the fallen Allomancer, "it's killing that kandra swear an oath not to do." He felt something tear from his back. "And second," they said, watching the man die as he examined his linchpin spike, "I've never been one for Oaths." AraRaash rammed the Blessing of Identity back into where his sternum usually was. "How you doing, Faleast? Have a good sleep?" You know that's not what I was doing. And no. There wasn't any lerasium. At least if there is it's not in a place I could find it. "Meaning it wasn't ever within ten meters of the Inquisitors pocket." I'm starting to wonder why I missed you, said Faleast. "Well, look on the bright side. You couldn't find any people to spike, and here's a pile of spikes just sitting here!" Faleast mentally chuckled. The ones you just Nicroburst? May want to check on them. AraRaash's jaw dropped - a bit more literally than usually physically possible - as he checked the spikes. The four that had been in use - Allomantic Copper, Iron, Steel, Tin, and Pewter were all... not quite dead, but close to it. And this one had apparently actually been a Seeker. "Well, these still seem to work," the kandra said finally, ripping out two golden spikes. "We already got Bloodmaking, but the more the merrier." Faleast still chuckled. 'I've never been one for Oaths.' And you still wonder why we've never found a spren on Roshar. You're hopeless. AraRaash nodded, then grinned. "Well, perhaps not entirely hopeless. Not everything on Roshar's about oaths." He turned and headed towards the Well, smiling. "Ever been to Shinovar?"
