That’s what I’ve been saying, yeah. imo he doesn’t deserve any credit for claiming that role when he did. Like, he said it was to let us know that scans might be wrong? Why didn’t he claim that role earlier game, then? Tbh I think it’s possible they exist, it’d explain the high number of scans in a way. But there’s really no reason an e!Miller couldn’t be Fadran, and he could also be e!Troll, with the RBer still being Sart or whoever. That would make Steel village I think.

Is it not possible Fadran is evil and actually just trolled Randby? I guess that makes Araris/Bip weird. Also what’s the reason Fae is clear? Are they actually clear, or did they just clear Wiz?

Technically, it means there’s no way to confirm whether the scan is accurate unless Bip trollscanned Randby, since Araris didn’t. But it was a redscan yeah.

Lollll that'd be so fun I wish I'd support a JNV scan. That'd probably be more helpful than another me one, since v!JNV confirms v!me where the inverse isn't always true. I'd also be okay with a Drake exe though maybe later game? I sympathize with your paranoia at least But I do like how his reads aren't just carbon copies of everyone else's. You get a gold star for being the first person so far to make a convincing argument for when I should use my ability Wait, couldn't that imply v!Steel? Because it obviously doesn't make sense that Fadran got RBd by the elims but they let Randby scan e!Steel as elim, so instead we'd have e!Fadran trolling Randby and claiming RBd? But no that goes back to the same problem of Araris/Bip needed to be reigned in. Araris apparently forgot and we haven't heard from Bip; if one of them is evil with Fadran this works easier. I don't know what to think of Sart. I agree with Drake in that it feels weird that he's the only one who hasn't claimed (and still hasn't???) and I do remember his early game seeming very... individual, for lack of a better word. You could make the same argument for Shining trying to break the tie with manip, yeah? But really, Sart's PoE and I have no problem with his exe if we'd rather do that over Steel.

Ah right. e!Fadran can accomplish this by himself, right?

Why do the elims need to do both of these things? Isn't the net result the exact same? As for stopping both you and Bip, we're pretty sure they have a troll and a RB. I slept on TJ's theory and I'm back to not understanding because I don't get why the elims would RB TJ and not you/Bip/Randby. Even if Steel is village, they wouldn't want the scan to work, right? I'm also seriously tinfoiling you not submitting an action here but if you're village that's not fair of me This has been my pet theory for a bit :P. I also think it's possible Fadran is actually a CV elim who claimed to get village cred as well as make us paranoid on all of our clears. I'll vote on Steel for now. I'm guessing people don't want me to construct a tunnel today?

So you’re saying that both of our failsafes for the Steel scan didn’t work That’s not suspicious at all @Biplet? :P. I mean there’s no way they don’t, right? Not with all the scans and kill/protects and all that

Oh right, I for some reason thought you were saying someone else RBd Sart before you did lol Yeah that makes sense

There’s that theory Aman mentioned (plus the chance that Stick had been trying to protect Tani and something went wrong) and Drake did say he tried to kill Archer.

That would make Sart not the elim RBer, yeah? Or I guess the elim RBer blocking Sart makes no sense. So what, you think we have a hidden village RBer that just hasn’t claimed for some reason? Attempted as in, tried and failed?

I think we would have noticed if we were at parity with fifteen plus players that count for parity :P. Also, we would have noticed if the game ended. Afaik >> Options today are Ash, Sart, Bip, with a chance at Drake? Depending what the Steel scan was of course. xD Idk why you think there’s any chance of parity though I guess your point is that you want to see if we’ll be able to check for it by seeing what happens when it’s definitely not parity.

I'm willing, I just don't want to be exed because of that So like if all we're doing tomorrow is testing Ash then sure, but that also seems like... an awful waste to me, yknow :P. Of the exe I mean, I get that it proves my role more than it actually is helpful for what the role does. My base paranoia of Fadran is added to by him deciding that I am apparently the best target right now for some reason but whatever I guess.

I mean, taking current knowledge at face value: (Analyst scan + Tie Guy)*(2 RPers + 1-2 PHers) = 8 maximum extra uses of scans, plus the original roles themselves, and that's not counting PM Spider results and that replication (2 Goalkeepers + Terminal Seeker)*(2 RPers + 1-2 PHers) = 12 maximum extra kills/protects, plus the original roles themselves And I mean that's a weird way to do the math but all I'm trying to say is that we've got a heck of a lot of scan and kill/protect potential, enough that I don't know if believe that Book, Dannex, Devo, Randby, Orlok, Steel, Aman, TUN, and Stick/Drake can all be village. Maybe this is agree to disagree because I see that and I don't think flipless balances that, but maybe I'm wrong as we all seem pretty collectively lost :P. Well yeah, look at the dates of those, it was like ten days ago :P. I was wondering the potential of Stick maybe having wanted to be protecting Tani? A Troll gone wrong, or something. Idk if that works though.

I repeat: Are we playing the same game? xD We haven't talked about them since like D2 or whenever it was when Aman claimed his actual role and got Lynchbait-scanned village.

What about, though, the scanners, the lurchers, the coinshots, and the two kinds of action replicators? Like sure the living after death isn't a super big deal but all that seems pretty relevant to game balance :P. Edit: Are we playing the same game? xD

Attempt at figuring this out: Two elims in [Archer, Ash, Drake, TUN, Mat, Shining, Steel, TJ] Two elims in [Ash, Bip, Mat, Wiz, Orlok, Aman, Drake, Shining] If Tie Guy counts all the names, the previous pool is correct. If Tie Guy only counts the names of active votes, we can remove Ash and Wiz, I think? Because Ash had a vote removed and Wiz's vote was the one Shining moved. (EDIT: Realized this doesn't remove Ash, since it wasn't necessarily his vote that was moved.) @Steeldancer, if you get back (or I guess anyone can ask, and maybe this is already known idk) you should ask the specifics of what players count in this case. For now I'll use the wider pool. Overlaps: Ash, Drake, Mat, Shining Non-Overlaps: From TG1: [Archer, TUN, Steel, TJ]. From TG2: [Bip, Wiz, Orlok, Aman] Possible configurations: Two Overlaps Two TG1 and two TG2 One Overlap and one each of TG1/TG2 Two Overlaps points to Ash/Shining as the easiest answer since I have my own GM PM and Drake(s predecessor) killed Tani, though I wonder if there's any way that Stick could have been trying to protect Tani and something went wrong. Dunno the logistics of that. Two TG1 and two TG2 seems unlikely since it'd be four elims outed but there's something to be said about that since the IKYK exists, like, 'they would never do that' but they did, etc. That being said it still feels unlikely, but if it is the case I think we can rule out TUN from TG1 and... we miscleared someone in TG2. Okay, on second thought, I don't think there's any chance of this world because if we did misclear anyone, they wouldn't want any chance of being caught. Overlap + TG1/TG2 would probably be one of Ash/Shining, Not-TUN, and Bip. We'll know if it's Steel sooner or later. I don't think we can actually shrink the pools any smaller than that though. Conclusions are that there's basically always at least one elim in [Ash, Shining, Drake], unless the elims let one of their 'confirmed' get caught in Tie Guy. Ninja'd five times, probably by people being faster at making a post like this than me. I wonder if we came to the same conclusions

My read of EoD (again, as someone who wasn't there) was that no one really e!read Biplet over Shining except for you, and that the votes trended naturally towards Shining before you changed the course back. Like 'the plan' might have been Biplet initially but it seemed to me like the plan was changing in most people's minds? Him saving himself would have been a great reason to insta-kill him today though so I see nothing wrong with that

It accomplishes figuring out why you left Shining out of the VC when the greater number of votes on him at the time showed the thread's preference between Shining and Bip. Like I wasn't there, I don't know, but I can see what Striker is saying here and it's weirding me out. There's a disconnect between you saying there's no difference and your actions implying that there was, at least to you.

This was the question though. Because Shining having more votes at that point would've made it easier for him to have been the tied train with Ash. And imo the scan and the proving of role are only so helpful because the scan is just a number that he could fall in either side of, and the proving role isn't AI. Edit: And if you wanted to scan Shining in the tie, and there was no difference between Bip/Shining, then why doesn't the same reasoning apply to Bip being in the tie? Shining could prove his role in or out of the tie.

If Shining was ahead though then it was very relevant to the tie. Did it really matter that much who was in it?

Ok properly read through last EoD What was Sart doing What was everyone doing Bip’s tone was pure to me after I left and I’m kinda confused about where it was switching to Shining because it seemed like a response to Bip’s tone but then it… didn’t switch to Shining? That read could just be wrong since idk the timestamps for everything so a rundown of what happened when and why would be nice
