    Joshua picked a spot in the middle of the edge- not so far where he was backed against a wall, but not that he was surrounded, either. He noted the man called Shard was drawing with invisible chalk, as to hide his defense. Joshua snorted. What if he were to mess up a line? Joshua figured the chance the other Rithmatists were paying enough attention to discern the others' defense was small; they all were spending an overly large amount of time drawing their own. This, of course, was what he did as well- no good would come from a mistake. Testing, testing...

    If you want, though I probably wouldn't be that helpful... I'm weighing the pros and cons of just straight-up telling him... I know that probably wouldn't be the way to go for someone like me, but I also wouldn't annoy a girl that I liked on purpose (and be terrified if that was what it seemed like) so maybe that would be fine. If you want to be more sneaky, you could just play along with whatever he does. I don't know how much you already do that, though.
