  1. What would happen if they tried to go through an oathgate? And it is disproved because Kladin goes through the Oathgates after he broke his oaths and lost the ability to breathe Stormlight.
  2. This would be interesting though there isn't a lot of place to travel by chull know that they live in the tower and are traveling across countries. But yes they probably would hate it.
  3. Expanding on my horse theory from earlier. Not only Kaldin dislikes the horse but all of his squires do and grumble about having to ride. The only one who sees the potential in horses and the point of riding is Moash, who never becomes a Windrunner.
  4. I'm not saying let the cadet die inexperienced I'm saying it's better to train them out of the bad habits rather than let the bad habits become a part of their flying technique and one day kill them. Reading that again I can see how that was confusing.
  5. Unless I became wing leader and then that would just be scary
  6. This is also true for Spensa says in the simulation she developed some bad habits that came back to bite her when she couldn't be restarted after a death. The only way to train that out is to give them real planes with real consequences. Better to train it out earlier than let the cadet gets experienced and then dies to a silly mistake.
  7. All right here is my dumb theory from an insignificant chapter. Recall the chapter in Words of Radiance were Kaldin is trying to ride a horse and he doesn't like the horse. The horse is also not very curappative. Now before they were an order the would be Windrunners thought horses were very slow, cumbersome method of travel. They were always trying to make horses go faster or find more practical methods of travel. This made the horses resent the Windrunners and vise versa. The Windrunners learned to fly and completely forgot horses and were otherwise rude to them. Now when Kaldin was trying to ride both him and the horse instinctively sensed this and had a natural disrespect toward each other. This being Kaladin's hatred of riding and the disrespect of the horse.
  8. Is all of her lies the reason Shallan bonded Pattern and became a Lightweaver rather than any other order?
  9. So if Adolin does awaken Maya what Order do you guys think he would be? Or want for variety.
  10. So I'm kinda confused. In The Way of Kings Shallan kept on seeing Cryptics in her drawings by accidentally sketching them. Then there was the scene in her bedroom were she actually toughed one. Patter appears and the incidents just abruptly stop without much explanation. So maybe I am just dumb but what was the reason behind the cryptics appearing to her before she got Pattern? What caused that to start and stop?
  11. That's probably true as Spensa or someone else maybe suggested Saint but Kimmalyn declined it saying it was heretical
  12. Loved the book only problem is that it followed part of the timeline from Skyward with Spensa going to a training school and learning to be part of a flight. The delvers were unique though never seen that in science fiction before. And Spensa being wrong about Cuna really highlighted the difference between humans and aliens and the misunderstandings that happen as a result of that different culture and expressions.
  13. Like in my display name, it would be Ricochet
  14. Is the power to be a Knight Radiant hereditary? So if two Windrunners married and had a child would that child become a Windrunner automatically? Or if two different orders married would there child inherit both powers?
  15. I wasn't saying that all od the populace was happy with the Lord Ruler but the Dominance was more ordered and not as chaotic. After the Lord Ruler died many paople starved or died in war and some people regretted the death of there ruler who held peace. Even though that peace was through tyranny.
  16. I thought the first book was called "Mistborn" So I've read all of it.
  17. I wasn't aware there was a book called Final Empire. Is it after Hero of Ages?
  18. So they would rule through fear of death threatening everybody to obey to their strict orders? I don't have a problem with the Skybreakers ruling but I don't think this way would work. The best way to rule isn't through threat of violence but rather giving the people something good if they obey. For example, in Mistborn when The Lord Ruler kept peace in the land so most people missed him afterword when all was chaotic. The people would rebel against the Skybreakers.
  19. So you prefer that the Skybreakers assassinated all of the world leaders to gain control rather than just dominating the world through saving everybody.
  20. He would have trained a bunch of Skybreakers with Szeth being the most powerful. Then when the Parshendi invaded Nale would have led his force into the world and saved everybody. The humans would have worshipped them as their saviors, revering their god like powers. Nale would have promised protection in return for worshippers and servitude. The Skybreakers would have controlled the whole world as the sole and most powerful order.
  21. And that would explain why the Skybreakers stayed in hiding while the rest of the Knights Radiant orders disappeared. It was all a plot by Nale to make his order the most powerful of the orders except Kaladin and the other people returned before his plan was complete.
  22. When you think of the personality of the kitsens though it doesn't match up to the hatred Spensa feels from them toward the rest of the universe. Though I suppose the cytonic use could have warped and twisted the kitsens to be different from their kinsman. I like the human cytonic theory though that seems possible.
