    Song walked into the garden to find Melody, saw the bizarre assortment of creatures and people, and ran to find her parents. Melody looked at the person in the tree. "Can I help you down?"

    Melody smiled, embarrassed. "Sorry. It's just weird."

    Cadenza, hearing the announcement, slows just as she enters the arena.

    Melody smiled. "Oh yeah, I keep forgetting that you have powers. Wait, I have powers now!" She concentrates and makes herself look like X's avatar for a little bit.

    Cadenza sprang from her seat and, gathering the water from her seat, slid into the arena.

    Melody saw him and waved him over. When it became apparent that he wasn't coming over(sorry), she walked over to him. "Hey!"

    Missing quotation marks, Null. Melody laughed, a panicked sound. "Okay, I know I was just barely lamenting how boring it was here, but I'd really prefer it if it went back to boring. Is that an option?"

    Melody spun around. "I can't believe this is happening. If it's not Capella, which I haven't ruled out, then it must be true, but it can't be true, it's too odd, so it must be Capella. But she left ages ago and isn't supposed to come back for ages!"

    So they wanted to save the girl in the cage. Well, if they got to it, they were going to want her help. She didn't move, but she got ready.

    "Capella! I caught you, you can stop now." said Melody, a hint of desperation in her voice.

    "Really? Okay, Capella, very funny. You can stop now. I know this is a prank. The guy with amnesia was believable, but a squid who's been sent to our garden to die?"

    Okay, that wasn't as bad as she had been thinking. At least she'd probably get to take down some soldiers. "All right. I'm assuming we'll have to wait?" She made a chair of ice and sat in it, curling her legs up and getting comfortable.

    "Wait. How did you get here? And how is that false? I mean, about 16 years ago there were sextuplets born, but that's about it. But really, who are you and how did you get here?" Melody was confused. Very confused.

    Cadenza huffed. If they were going to ask her to help them, it was only reasonable for them to tell her what she was supposed to do so she could agree or reject it.

    "Well then, I have absolutely no idea how I defeated one that was terrorising a village east of my family's manor." Cadenza gave the man(man, right?) a pointed look and put her hand on her hip. She ignores the mountain woman again. That one could really spout off.
