Herate walked into the tent and sank to the floor. The officer nodded and turned to the soldiers, intending to watch them carefully. -
Don't expect me to participate, I'm not that confident in my new-found skills. XD

"That would be bad. Is there even a way to fight that?"

Herate nodded. She didn't trust herself to speak any more.

"Okay. No, it'd take them a while to find us."

"Isn't hope good, though? Hope for the best and prepare for the worst."

"It is truly something to be revered and feared. Do you think we can assume that there are more of them?" Harmony asks, thinking she can stall him and keep them from going to the town.

One of the soldiers offers some hope. "Lady General, we weren't willing to shout his name because of the secret nature of our camp. It's possible he's out there and we simply didn't find him." Herate wants to accept this, but she knows that it's unlikely. She shakes her head slowly. "No, I think it's time to face it. Daolan is missing."

"It's still impressive. So, how does one obtain Clarity?"

"That would definitely take a while. Do you have someplace already in mind, or are you just willing to put us deep underground?"

"Daolan's missing." As the soldiers slowly come back, they each shake their heads sadly. Daolan could not be found anywhere they looked.

"That's incredible. I suppose it would be a worthy goal for anyone, but with the feeling I'm getting, you must be close."

"Too much? Also, the likelihood is that if we were found on Everest, we'll be found in Utah. It just might take a little longer."

"Yes."

"So, what else are we making time for? We've got plenty of it."

"Better to try and fail than to never try at all."

"What? I'm sure we have time or can make it."

"Actually, that would be great."

"Yes. That's where I constructed my daggers. Well... dagger now."

"I suppose." Harmony paused. "Excuse me for a bit." She went outside, dug a little hole in the earth, dropped the pouch in, and covered it back up. She walked back inside. "Okay."

"That sounds wonderful." Harmony grimaced. "Are you sure? Going into town isn't my favorite."

"Not often, but it's good to fail every once in a while. But enough about me. Where are you from?"
