    Crescendo took a deep breath and smiled a tired smile. That had been crazy. She walked slowly up the stairs, encountering several of the creatures along the way. She left their shells littering the stairs.

    Crescendo spared a hand to hold Leonie up. "Let's get out of here first. Then Leonie can torch it and we can go hunt the creatures that escaped."

    Crescendo ran in too. "You're both idiots and we can chat after we're out of here!" She grabbed Leonie. "Hey." Crescendo looked into Leonie's eyes, making sure she could hear her. "Get on my back." She handed her pouch to Rlyan and started burning some of the creatures with what she had left. "Now go!"

    Crescendo stepped carefully out of the room and sent a thumbs-up to Leonie.
